It made me realise that my driving, in all ways, had become 'on autopilot'. I have driven a few times since completion of the course and I have noticed a difference in that my attention to what is happening around me has increased markedly.

Useful course which really makes you think. Comfortable setting. Friendly and knowledgeable presenters kept us involved. Hopefully I can take away what I needed to focus on and become a safer driver.

Attended a speed awareness course it was very educational and very professional

I had the worst experience on their speed awareness course as the instructor name KIRAN has signed me out from the 3 hours long training when only 30 minutes left to end the course because I had a small old dog who needs to go to garden to toilet break while I was hearing all on my laptop and I was not on front of camera for about 5 mnts and additionally at the beginning part of the course I had to get up and back to my sit after opened the door to amazon delivery for 2 mnts!!
KIRAN has no empathy or understanding about real life situations which makes us human not an AI operated beings looks like a human!!
I tried to join as soon as she logged me out maybe 30 times but she did NOT let me join after sending many rejoin attempts which I found very ignorant and a horrible person attitude with no explanations or warnings al !!! I had to book again and paid £30.80p to be able to complete the training now which I am so upset and regret that I choose that company’s training session!!!! I do not wish anyone to have same experience as I did spend for my 3 hours on front of computer and £101 and plus £30.80 for this horrible experience!!! Kiran should not do this work as she is not understanding how to manage this course with no personnel skills and intellect as needed as we are a human and being a reason for this bad review about your Drive tech company!

I completed the Speed Awareness course yesterday, 3 hrs went by quickly, lots of information that I had forgotten, trainer very good, engaging, didn't make you feel silly, nice to do it online in home comfort.

Very Pleasant Venue in Oxford. The course delivered by Mike and Nick and very informative which helped with awareness of lots of things going around when driving,
If you are unlucky to get a speeding ticket definitely worth considering the course.

The trainer, Lawson, started the class by saying he wasn’t there to judge us and then spent the next three hours doing just that. He loved the sound of his own voice and appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the power he held over everyone in attendance. He was incapable of motivating or engaging the class and spent most of it talking about himself. The course does not need to be 3 hours long as if it was presented in a far more engaging and intelligent way, 2 hours would be sufficient, especially as our chap went back on himself several times dragging out of us in desperation more of our thoughts about a childish video of a street scene, more suited to use for a class of six year olds.
Lawson didn’t like it when anyone appeared to question or disagree with him, and each time I leant to the side of my table to take notes, he kept asking ‘Are you with us?’ When he didn’t like me pointing something out regarding an emergency hospital trip, the reason I had been speeding at the time, which for me had been very traumatic, Lawson sneeringly said, ‘Oh come on, you must have been done for speeding before and this can’t have been the first time?’ and then put me on mute for the rest of the class which was embarrassing, rude and very upsetting. Having paid a lot of money to engage on the course and take part enthusiastically, I found it brain numbingly tedious, repetitive, and below the standard I would expect to be offered to a group of intelligent professional adults. The course I attended would be excellent for a group of Brownies doing a badge on road awareness, speeding etc., but left me wishing I had not chosen Drivetech’s course and just taken the 3 points as it was dreadful and I would advise anyone to choose an alternative course. Lawson whatever his name is, should be sent on a people management course and soon, lose his attitude and learn some empathy. We are not all criminals and as he said – he was not there to judge – You could have fooled me!!

The course is good in content, learned lots of good points. The instructor is friendly and professional, we are in a good atmosphere to learn and reflect in the online course.

I recently attended a speed awareness course in Southport and was pleasantly surprised with the experience. The instructors were very friendly and professional. I found the course very informative and far more beneficial to my driving than just paying a fine and receiving points on my license which nobody wants. I would certainly recommend that anyone given this option should take it. Also it really gets you thinking of the dangers of driving faster than the speed limit.

Trainers were excellent, helpful, encouraging and professional. You will not be humiliated!
Venue was comfortable and totally suitable.
Course was very useful and reminded us of principles that we may have forgotten.

The venue was easily accessed with abundant parking. Despite my initial anxiety about attending the course the presenters were non-judgemental, humourous, informative and knowledgeable. A course that ALL drivers should be required to attend periodically especially us older ones. You should not need to commit an offense to be more safe aware.

The opportunity to take the speed awareness course offered by the police in general is a very good idea and the course is well designed. There is a choice of companies from which to take it who deliver the material which is the same for everyone. I simply signed up with the first one on the list as I thought they might all be the same/similar but having that experience I would strongly NOT RECOMMEND doing it with Drive-tech. The course tutor who I was provided did NOT have good communication skills, the pacing of her speech was poor, she veered from too light hearted to too emotive in the delivery, she used personal examples which sounded like they coloured her thinking, she was too friendly and familiar in her style of communication. Critically she completely failed to communicate the timing of the course overall and also the break times clearly which caused confusion and meant I was locked out of the second half of the course. When I called back the company initially said I could re-take just the second half but then told me to call back again and changed its mind so I had to do the whole course again in a matter of days. The second trainer was more clear although he still rushed through the material in places and wasn’t great at answering questions. There was one question on the whole course which he spent way to long answering, then sort of shamed the person asking by noting that the course was now over-running (implying because of the question and therefore dissuading people asking for questions. He also said he taught three such courses in a day seeming to suggest he just wanted to get through it as quick as possible)).The whole admin/office side was also confused and again, unclear with different information given at different times. I definitely would NOT recommend the company Drive-tech and think it’s a shame they are top of the list. The course itself is very good and clearly structured so it’s a shame the delivery is not.? I’d recommend taking the course with a different company who can actually deliver it to highest standards it deserves.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY for a Speed Awareness Course!
I have wasted a whole morning because they disconnected me twice from the course and then when you call their “support” number twice they tell you all is ok, continue waiting.
Upon calling again, they tell you they can’t communicate with the online class and that I have missed the sign in, even though they spoke to me via the Teams app at the very start?!?
The company are a complete WASTE OF TIME and only interested in taking your money.

Having been driving for many years it is easy to become blase about the speed one is doing, and to think that the speed limits set are unnecessarily low. And to forget things like stopping distances. Do not be impatient - that extra few mph makes very little difference to your arrival time!

Although I had to do the course as I was caught speeding, I really found it interesting and worthwhile and would recommend anyone who has been driving a long time to take it as there are lots of things I learned that I was totally unaware of
