Exceptional Service
I was looking to purchase a BMW M340D and got in touch with Douglas Park BMW Glasgow. John MacLeod who sold me the car brought it up to Inverness and took my old car back. The whole thing went very smoothly and I am very happy with my purchase.
Outstanding Service
This is the second purchase in the last 12 months, flawless transaction, my dealings with the branch before, during and after have been in line with my expectations of a high quality prestige main dealer, Connor Moran was exceptional throughout the whole process. I also learned of Peter Coyle's passing, I dealt with Peter on my previous purchase and it was his professionalism that made me return to but another car from him, the branch has lost a gentleman but Connor kept the standards at their highest, Peter would be proud of him, its more than just a car showroom, you can feel the brilliant atmosphere on entering even through covid. I'll be back. Thank you Douglas Park, Outstanding service.
Condescending sales executive, derisory PX price
In early march I enquired on a 3 series touring and dealt with Jordan Bryce. I sent him a video of my car which was in excellent condition with a full BMW service history apart from two minor scuffs on alloys and a few fine scratches on the bonnet which looked like they would polish out.
He offered me £12,000 for my car, I was looking for £13,000 so asked him for £14,000 hoping to negotiate and sent I him a link to a similar car to mine which was advertised on the approved BMW network to hopefully show that I knew what my car would go on sale for.
I got this email back:

Hello Nick,
Thanks for coming back to me.
With regards to your car; the top book price (i.e. immaculate, needing no repairs, showroom condition) is £12,900.00.
Your car needs the bonnet painted, two alloys refurbished and does not have a BMW service history therefore is not worth top book price - to expect £14,000.00 for it would maybe be acheivable if it was very clean and you were selling the car privately.
It's easy to go online and pick out the most expensive comparable car but that is not what customers do, as I'm sure you are aware, people go online and find the cheapeast comparable example.
Not to mention the car you have sent the link of has 10,000 miles less than your car and is 6 months newer on a '66 plate rather than a '16 plate so not really a fair comparison.
If you go on the BMW website and filter the search criteria to a similar age/spec/mileage of your car you will see the cheapest example out there is £15,995.00 as per the below:
This car also has £3,000.00 more of options than your car including the M Sport Plus package which makes the car a lot more desirable.
Therefore I am confident that £12,000.00 is fair money for your car based on the description you provided of the car.
With regards to our car, priced at £25,995.00, the cheapest example of our car within the BMW UK network (similar plate, spec, mileage) is infact our own car.
We price our cars aggressively hence why you have enquiried from 400 miles away so to expect a reduction in price on our car of £1250.00 as well as an additional £2000.00 for your car is awfully unrealistic.
Apologies we cannot get to where you want to be with the car but if anything changes please let me know and I'll be more than happy to help.
Kind regards,
Jordan.

From that email I got the sense that he was almost doing me a favour by taking my PX in and I thought, this is a dealership which does not deserve my business.
Subsequently I did a deal with Cottswold Hereford BMW instead and if you're quick you'll see my previous car (YE16 RYF) is listed for sale on the approved used BMW network for £16,950, nearly £5,000 more than I was offered by Douglas park and according to Jordan Bryce, an unachievable price.
I totally understand that dealers have costs and have to make a living and I don't have a problem with it as long as there is a degree of honestly.
If Jordan had said - Look, we need to do some work on your car to sell it and we have to make a profit - So we can't offer you £14,000 but we'll work with you I would probably have bought their car and walked away happy.
I feel like I've had a lucky escape, especially going by some of the other negative reviews about this dealer.
All BMW dealers are not the same, the contrast between the service at Douglas Park BMW and Cottswold Hereford BMW was enormous.
There are lots of these cars around and if you're going to spend a 5 figure sum of money on something it's worth traveling to the place where you can get the best deal and the best service.
I needed a body repair to my Nissan…
I needed a body repair to my Nissan Leaf. I look it along to a local coach builder who estimated £430 with the work taking two days. Unfortunately my insurers required me to use Douglas Park in Hillington, Glasgow. The car was taken along and they provided an estimate of almost £1,100, Be aware that this was a dent to the driver side wing which you could easily walk past without noticing. I now understand that most insurers don't question repairs below £2,000. Now I know why my insurance premiums are so high. I hesitate to say they are being ripped off by car repairers, but.... The car was duly taken to Douglas Park and I was given Suzuki Celerio as a courtesy car. I now know my least favourite car. 4 days later I got a text to say my car was going to be painted, but the battery was flat. Four days to do a mornings work max? Really?
After 8 days the car was completed.
The moral of the story. I don't doubt that if I had been getting the job done at my own cost it would cost considerably less than was charged to the insurers in much less time. If you want to contribute to increasing your car insurance premium - or want the job done in ridiculously long period of time - I highly recommend Douglas Park, Hillington, Glasgow.
Turmoil weekend turned fantastic
After a very turmoil weekend of moving house and having my partner write my car off on the same day, BMW Douglas Park was excellent in the smooth transition from no car, to a fantastic car! Kieran helped guide me through each process, and answered all queries quickly and promptly. I highly recommend those buying cars to go through kieran due to his exception customer service. Douglas Park turned the car in 48 hours for me, and also dropped off the car too. During Covid 19 it's a funny time with buying cars without test driving them first. Douglas park ensured that I knew everything about the car, despite not seeing the car in person, giving me the confidence to change from a die-hard Jaguar Lover to now a BMW lover. Thank you to all those who helped with turning the car around so quickly, answering all my questions, and all round outstanding experience.
My partner bought his car 6 months ago
My partner bought his car 6 months ago, had to take it in last week as an emergency. The break pads had been worn away and the car is only a 19 plate! They refused to cover even part of the cost the repair which was £344, they said it was wear and tear. My partner had his previous car for 4 years and never had an issue with anything so that proves it was the car that was at fault! We will never be buying from them again.
Patronising
Poor customer relations especially if you the customer are female!!
Don’t listen and assume you know nothing. So patronising when you have probably spent more time in the car trade than the counter boy. Also claimed a urgent repair was needed which I found hard to believe. Put it on ramps with other mechanic and low behold nothing wrong.
Excellent,fast service from Douglas…
Excellent, fast service from Douglas Park in Stirling. The sales representative David Gemmell was first class.Helped us to get the deal for the car we wanted and kept us up to speed on every step.I would recommend David Gemmell and the rest of the Douglas Park team.
3 times I have been in touch with this…
3 times I have been in touch with this dealer about a car I saw on their website and I still have not received any response. Unlike other bmw dealers who genuinely have their customers feeling welcome.
I bought a bmw 520d m sport from this…
I bought a bmw 520d m sport from this Bmw garage what an amassing experience the customer service I received from the sale guy (Philip Lowrie) was second to none a very helpful and professional sales guy I also got my car at an amazing price and what a car to drive I’ll definitely keep in touch and purchase any other cars I may get, cheers guys
Pat McCann.
Damage to car when in for repair
Put my car into Hamilton workshop to get some repairs done. However, my car came back with a scratch on the door. I had to make the trip back, no apology and was told 'you know your car already has marks on it'. My car is 6 years old and is black, I am aware of this but does not mean it should not be looked after. Unfortunately this was not the first time this happened, it had to be sent to another company close by to repair the damage paintwork. Recommend you take photos of your car and the workshop staff be told to look after customer cars and if damage is done own up!
Happy with the sales process and service
I recently bought an SUV from Douglas Park and found the sales process to be smooth and efficient. From the initial call inquiring about the car through to the test drive and sale, the process took a couple of days and was easy. Sales Exec Chris Lynch was helpful and professional and happy to answer any and all questions I had.
Poor After Sales service
Bought a BMW X3 in Feb 2020 at a cost of £23,000 with a service pack included and told we would have hassle free motoring for 2 years. 4 months in and brake fluid needs changing. Surprise Surprise it's not included within the service pack so we now need to pay for it. What's the point in having a service pack that doesn't include the basics. A change of brake fluid you would think must be included within a service pack - initial service was great but after sales, don't want to know
Awful company stay well clear
Excellent and friendly service during Covid 19
5 star customer service in a friendly courteous manner from Gemma and Graham at BMW Service Department in Stirling.
I am my elderly Mum’s main carer during the Covid 19 crisis. Due to her age she is grounded and I need my car to be able to shop and deliver both cooked food and shopping to her.
My car developed a fault and I was advised by BMW online that their Service Departments were only open for key workers.
I called Graham at BMW Stirling and he was so helpful and agreed to book me in to have my car fault repaired.
Both Graham an Gemma were so helpful and understanding of my predicament and their service was excellent. I was provided with a courtesy car as the part was not available on my first visit.
Would highly recommend BMW Stirling. I will share my experience with others. After Covid 19 is over people will remember service given in stressful times. BMW Stirling were first class all round. Thank you Graham and Gemma
Kind regards
Fiona McFarlane
stay clear!!!
Had a terrible experience at the Hilington branch in Glasgow. Put my VW camper van in for a Bodyshop repair job through my insurance company and got it back with a problem that wasn’t there before it went in. Absolutely disgusted by the customer service I got when discussing this problem and was basically told to go back to my insurance company. How can these big companies get away with that and not admit fault when they’ve made a mistake, which we all can do, but not even a bit of sympathy or willingness to take the blame or offer to help rectify the problem. Will never use this company again and make sure anyone I know doesn’t either.
Poor customer service
i contacted Douglas Park in Stirling with a view to buying an advertised BMW X5, below is an extract of the reply, i contacted the garage and asked for a short walk around video with a couple of detail pictures, ive tried calling a couple of times but nothing, no calls no emails and that was 3 days ago , they are obviously too busy and selling enough cars that my business doesn't matter so will take the advise of some other reviews and try other dealers
You enquired through PistonHeads on our used X5. The car is still available. Can you contact me directly in order to pursue your enquiry.
Do not take out Tyre and Alloy insurance
I have been a customer with this branch of BMW//Mini for quite a few years now and it was a very much better company when it was Menzies. Douglas Park is too big and doesn’t know how to treat their customers. They are only interested in getting your money. I had a puncture and as I had Insurance to cover this I decided to deal with it through the policy. I wish I had just gone to the local tyre place instead. What should have been a simple job became something that took 5 days to complete. I got pushed from DP to Mini Emergency, back and forth . I was supposed to get a hire car and each thought the other should be dealing with it and the result was I didn’t get one at all!!!!!! I missed an appointment because of this. Do NOT pay out for this insurance- it just isn’t worth the money.
Great service
Great service
I bought my car is September, extremely happy with the sales process. I got a call a few weeks later regarding a service package. the lady I spoke with was very polite and explained everything in detail. she offered a monthly payment option which was very attractive. I signed up and got the paperwork in the post a week later.
Thank you Laura
