My shopping experience at DFS was absolutely splendid and incredibly smooth from start to finish! 🛋️✨

A huge shoutout to Jimmy, who made the whole experience even better. His knowledge of the sofas was fantastic — from textures and styles to design, comfort and, importantly, finding something that worked within my budget.

Jimmy was friendly, patient, genuinely helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I felt confident with my choice. His care, kindness and expertise really stood out and made what could have been a stressful decision feel easy and enjoyable.

Thank you, Jimmy, for making sofa shopping such a great experience! 🙌🛋️ I’d definitely recommend DFS to anyone looking for fantastic service and a helping hand along the way!

⭐ 1 star – Extremely disappointing experience with DFS

The furniture I received had significant defects which DFS described as “scars from the cow”. Rather than accepting responsibility for the condition of the furniture, I had to pursue a Section 75 claim through the finance company before the issues were properly taken seriously.

Even after that, DFS has used what feels like delay tactics in dealing with the refund, leaving me having to repeatedly chase the matter.

For an expensive purchase, I expected much better quality, customer service and accountability. My experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would not buy from DFS again.

Avoid DFS — terrible customer service and aftercare

One of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. I received new sofas, but the back cushions barely had any filling in them, leaving me having to pay extra money out of my own pocket to put the issue right. What makes it worse is that the finance company did nothing to help, and the Ombudsman also declined to assist. In the end, I’ve been left to fork out more money to resolve an issue that shouldn’t have existed in the first place.
For the sake of £20, you would think DFS would have simply done the right thing and honoured the cost, but instead they seem determined to squeeze every last penny out of their customers. The technician who dealt with the matter was also rude, vindictive and arrogant, which only added to an already stressful experience. I’ve had nothing but stress dealing with this company, and now I’m paying £20 to correct their mistake because the sofa was not as described from day one. I’ve dealt with companies such as Furniture Village and Sofology, and my experience with their customer service and aftercare has been far better.

Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere. There are plenty of furniture companies that offer much better customer service and aftercare.

Let us have a look around without any pressure then offered us a nice hot drink as the salesman could see we had maybe settled with the one we were sitting on and he asked if we needed assistance. You either want to buy one or not and he then continued to explain all the sizes.

We were served by Imran, lovely young man, very polite and friendly, gave us loads of options to choose which helped me to make my mind up with ease, he even stayed back because we were feeding our baby, didn’t rush us or made us uncomfortable. Fantastic service. Thank you Imran
