DCBL Limited have first sent me a parking charge for a car I have not owned, and when I provided evidence from the DVLA that it was not my car, they now write that I was the driver of the car and that I am still liable for the parking fine. I wonder which organisations that I should contact to inform them of this. Their continuous emails and letters cause quite a bit of distress

Never respond to anyone's calls or emails. Keep making threats

If you want sum up Legalised Criminals DCBL is a prime example.
Send a letter with date 22 August. 9th september arrived. 14 days to respond.
Moved house in March. Parking ticket goes to CCJ in July on old adress. No option to appeal.
Criminals.
Try to call them. No answer. Nothing. Everything they can do to make something impossible they`ll do.
Legalised criminals.

Need a debt collected? I fell for the hype but have not got any money. DCBL officers attended the address, got fobbed off, closed the account and bill me for more money!
If its not easy to establish where the debtor is, they just give up.

We thought we had a good customer relationship with DCBL having had a successful recovery before. We were wrong. This time couldn't be more different. We instructed DCBL to recover many thousands for us against a ground source heat pump company who took our money and began acting irratically and not providing services. We paid DCBL over £1000 for their debt recovery services. Three weeks went by without hearing anything from DCBL to report back to us. We then received notice of Liquidation from the ground source company at which point DCBL told us they could do nothing. We lost many thousands to the ground source company and DCBL refused to refund our fees saying they would issue us a Credit Note instead. Months later, after 4 chasing emails to DCBL all of which where ignored, we are still no further forward with a Credit Note from them. The whole experience has been very painful. To be totally ignored by our own Debt Recovery agents on top of being badly ripped off by the ground source company. We are down many thousands. We don't usually write negative reviews. On this occasion we had no option in our experience.

All it takes is a quick stop, confusing terms or a disputed notice and you’re in the system. Britannia fires off the “charge”, then you’re passed to DCBL (yes, the Can’t Pay? We’ll Take It Away! TV outfit) and on to DCB Legal—same machine, different letterheads—engineered (in my view) to confuse, intimidate and grind people down. My credit score fell 176 points the day a CCJ landed. Channel 5 has even been found by the courts to have breached privacy over the show—turning hardship into entertainment speaks volumes.
Practical tip: use TrustOnline to see the CCJ date/court/case no. If you discover a CCJ, pay in full within one calendar month and submit Form N443 with proof to the issuing court (often the Civil National Business Centre) to have it removed; pay later and you can mark it Satisfied.

After a considerable period of time I had to do something to get money owed to me.
DCBL kept on to the debtors and got what was mine quickly and professionally.
They kept me in informed at all stages and did as requested.
I will use them again should I need to.

This relates to an alleged charge via Birmingham City Council in relation to their clean air policy.
Six months after the alleged visit we received a demand from these people, obviously we challenged it, Birmingham washed their hands of it, today unannounced my wife had a visit from an employee of those people, scared the life out of her.
When challenged he turned off his body cam.
It’s impossible to contact these people.
Terrible , creepy people.

Appalling company. I don't have an issue with people pursuing unpaid debts, but to do it in the way DCBL has is outrageous. We parked at a pub car park which was run by Euro Car Parks, paid for a meal in the pub and validatated our parking using the number plate system, no fee to be paid as we were customers. We then received a letter from DCBL claiming an unpaid debt of £155! When given evidence of being a customer on the day in question, DCBL simply ignored it and threatened us with court action. Absolutely disgusting behaviour when clearly we are not in the wrong. ZERO star rating!! Shame on DCBL! What a SCAM! Reporting to the financial ombudsman.

If I could give zero star rating i would we received a fine for a driver with a company vehicle. When we rang and passed the drivers details on which we were asked to do we were asked to create a password that both ourselves and the driver could give when asked to DCBL and he would receive any further correspondence in regards to this fine. When the driver rang to pay they refused to take said payment and would not speak to him. This has went back and forth and then fast forward to today and we receive a letter claiming a CCJ!! which would not have been necessary had DCBL done as they said and spoke with the driver like they had said!

Out of the blue, this company sent a letter demanding £322.99 to my home address (where I've lived for 28 years) claiming that it is an unpaid County Court Judgement (CCJ) made just over three years ago for an unpaid parking charge. They've quoted a VRM for a car that I've never owned or hired and a check with Experian and with the national register for CCJs shows no CCJ.

It's still possible that this is a scam because the letters from this firm don't include identity information rewquired by law - a criminal offence, committed by the company and personally by each of the directors in default. The criminal offences have been referred to Halton Trading Standards for investigation and, if appropriate, prosecution. A County Court claim was issued against the company on 4 August and no Defence has been filed by it during the time allowed, so I'll be applying for judgement in default against it on Monday. If they don't pay up I will be sending County Court bailiffs to them in Runcorn with a Warrant of Control to collect the debt!! :)

What a fantastic service! I honestly can't praise this company enough. Having lent a large amount of money to a so called'friend' and 6 years later having no joy in retrieving it, I happened across DCBL and applied for help. They were amazing. From start to finish I was kept informed as to how the case was progressing and they were successful in getting me my money back - plus interest! Thank goodness for this company! I wouldn't have achieved anything alone or through courts without them. Thank you to all of the team. I will be forever grateful and will shout your praises loudly! Brilliant company!

I sold the car in 2022 to we buy any car in Truro Cornwall and then went to wait to Greenland to work so I wasn’t even in the country but in 2023 a parking ticket was issued for that same car I receive threatening letters and text messages on a daily basis in which I have explained. I am still trying to cut all the evidence to support what actually happened and they have done nothing but harass me.

They failed to do their job. They were instructed to go and retrieve my money and didn't go to the company as they were too busy. My case was then forgotten about until I rang them and asked what was going on where I was told it was just sat with nothing happening to it. They then went on an emergency call out and shock horror the company has disappeared. If they had gone and done their job I would not be sat £13,XXX out of pocket.
To add insult they then are trying to charge me for services that have no benefit to the case as it has now gone to liquidators.

WILL NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN.

I think that we can safely say that they are at best arrogant. I really must apply for a job with them not.

The job description is:-

Never apologise even if you know you are in wrong.

Always put fear in to people by threatening them as much as possible. The more letters the better. You will of course receive a bonus for this.

Always be aggressive towards a customer when responding to an e-mail enquiry which challenges the fairness of issuing a parking charge.

Remember we are not regulated, so you can behave as if we are a dictatorship. which of course we are.

It would not be the post for you if you are in any way religious. You must be insensitive, ruthless and lacking in any morals.

If you want to receive maximum bonuses, which can involve an element of bullying of justified complaints, then this is the job for you. Bear in mind that the older the complainant is, the more likely they are to pay up without challenging. Further training in this, will of course be provided if your application is successful.

Remember, we have the power, so the likelyhood of it being challenged is pretty remote.

So to sum up, never ever apologise, always try and put the frighteners on, especially with vulnerable people. If you have any qualms about believing in accountabilty when you leave this earth then please do not apply. You must be Godless, and believe that all that matters on this earth is making money. That must be your God to be successful in this job.

Received 2 parking tickets from an Airport that were identical but with separate reference numbers. I appealed these due to circumstances along with the fact I am not paying twice for the same ticket. During the tribunal appeal stage the private company sent the fee over to DCBL, I have informed them that it is in an appeal stage, they asked for proof via email which I sent and they are claiming they haven’t received the email and are still ringing me constantly and sending letters to my house demanding I pay them even while it is in an appeal process. Their lack of communication is disgusting, they do not respond to anything I have to say, but they’re quick enough to ring me demanding I pay them instantly.

Would give 0 if I could!

We sold our car in January of this year, the following month the new owner parked it and racked up multiple fines.

This company has sent multiple (£1000’s worth of tickets and fines) to our address. As soon as the first letter came through we got in touch with proof that we no longer owned the car, this has made no difference. Having spoken to their customer service team, legal team and sent numerous letters and emails we are continually getting letters for a car that is not ours.

We sent proof from the garage that purchased the car from us along with their contact details and a letter from the DVLA confirming the car was sold with the date but still receiving letters threatening bailiff action.

The customer service is disgusting, having asked to speak to a manager I was told that was not possible, I asked to speak to someone who could help, also no possible, I asked for the persons name and was told it was Steve. I asked for a full name and was told that they didn’t have one, just Steve. Whilst they laughed. And this whole time they are chasing the wrong person for this debt!

Ironically their website says they use an ethical and moral approach. Four months we have been receiving letters and threats and from the off we have done everything they asked to provide evidence it’s not our car, shocking company. I can’t Belive it has continued to go on this long, no one listens. My husband is now at the point hoping it goes to court so he can prove how much time has been wasted and to put a stop to all of this.
