First I heard of this yet another…
First I heard of this yet another cowboy debt company. Was when i got an unsolicited email from one Benjamin Hutton, from so called debt relief agency. First of never contacted debt relief so don't know where they obtained my email. As i never share email or phone with anyone. Secpndly never had any contact with dcbl! Neither do i ose them anything. Have no signed contract with either cowboy. Hutton also said i had debt with lowell, Lantern and Moorcroft fininacial ltd. Yet again never had any contact with any of these. Certainly no contracts. So what the hell Hutton thinks he is chasing me for is beyond beggars believe.
Organised Crime!!
This company is the lowest of the lowest!! Where do I actually start with these Parasites or Organised Crime more like.
1. Received a ccj unbeknown to me for a car parking offence. Apparently 4no letters was sent to my house, funny as my partner stays at home with our 5 children " Nothing ever turned up" plus the fine is question was warranted the fact the parking meter wasn't working, of which i has proof!! So I paid the ccj off which has damaged my credit score and these b@#tards get £285 for nothing.
2. A week later another fine £160 for alleged parking in an Electric parking bay " I own a diesel" my bumper was over by 6inches give or take. The road markings were all of various lengths and surprise surprise the Electric bays weren't working anyway as they were damaged!!
3. Today I received another £140!! For parking in another Electric Bay " Still drive a diesel" no proof of offence just there b@#locks they feed you. I'm trying to rebuild my life and credit score therefore reluctantly paid them!! Organised Crime at its finest.......... Be careful folks they out to screw you. If I could give a minus 5 I would.
Bullies
If i could give 0 stars i would. Despicable company who bullies and harasses people. They are demanding my 78 yr father with leukaemia pay £170 for a parking charge despite us submitting a screenshot of the parking payment. Any company that BRAGS on their letterhead that they have been seen on shows like "can't pay, we'll take it away" are obviously going to be one to keep an eye on for the wrong reasons. For a start, they work for private parking companies. For another, even when you set up a payment plan with them they will take money out of your account outside of the agreement set in place. Now I cannot fault the phone handlers as they are amazingly helpful. But the company themselves are a nasty scam. They have now left me in minus in my bank account and my refund could take 3-15 days to be sent back to me (nice little profit for interest for them there) if they try to take payment again from me, outside of the original agreement, they won't see another penny from me.
Don't risk your credibility putting business through these clowns.
Sadly I cant give them 0 stars. A letter came through the door today advising my girlfriend had a parking ticket from over a year ago and this is the first we've heard about it.
Anyway, it was to these jokers to collect it, and what a bunch of aggressive, incompetent people. Some of the responses I heard on the phone as my girlfriend was simply trying to enquire what it was about, and why she hadn't heard anything before this letter - "do you know how easy it is for us to track you down", "test us and we'll take you to court.
Rude, aggressive and threatening.
If you're a company looking to work with them, do yourself a favour and partner with another collector, as a marketing professional, take my advice - the PR from these guys will negatively effect you and your business massively.
I'd never heard of Smart Parking before today, now that I've heard how DCBL spoke to my girlfriend on the phone your credibility is at zero. If you hire a company, they become an extension of your identity.
Don't risk your reputation by putting business through DCBL.

These amateurs are still scamming me out if £170.
Week after week they try with their letters, however unknown to them, I know all about these clowns as they appear on Martin Lewis website as scam artists.
Their place that they are trying to scam me is kinnoul street car park Perth.
Hopefully I get my day in court so I can get the judge to award me thousands of pounds in compensation for my time and the hassle of dealing with these folk.
CRIMINALS - legal action will be taken
Criminally trying to defraud me for a debt they’ve unlawfully put in my name that I do not owe!
I’ve sent them evidence that my car was written off in March 2024, and collected by a company called co part. They sold my car in April 2024 and sent off the V5 log book in new owner details. Unawares to me this bounced due to the document expiring (not sure how) and the new owner instead did a V62 application. This meant the vehicle remained in my name with me totally unaware! That is, until I received a bailiff letter from DCBL for a parking fine that the new owner has received in October 2024. I’ve sent them proof from my old insurer that the car was written off in March 2024 and was no longer in my possession since that date, and they are completely unwavering and still demanding that I pay this debt that I do not owe. I will be seeking legal action as this is absolutely criminal! Rather than cutting their loses and closing the case, they are still trying to pursue it and steal money from me. I will also be seeking damages from how this has affected my mental health. Absolute bunch of crooks!!
Parasites
Two things; one how in the ghell has a company such as this got an average of more than 1 star? Genuinely, this has to be shills. There is no legitimate way to explain that. Second, as with most people commenting here, I am getting non-stop claims from these parasites. In September 2023 I picked up a PCN from a Smart Parking carpark; my fault, I admit it. I shot up to my local town centre to pick up some last minute stores as I was being deployed on operations for several months the following morning (I am in the military). Obviously, I couldn't know that I had picked up a PCN and only discovered it when I returned after six weeks to bury a family member before redeploying again. During my time back, I contacted Smart Parking and explained what the situation was and they agreed to drop the late payment fee and allow me to pay the original £60, which I immediately did. They provide and control the portal through which you pay the PCN; there is no way you can just enter your own amount, so it can only have been Smart Parking that agreed to waive the late fees (keep that in mind if you are one of the shills who always sides with these companies). Two years later I start getting harassed by these clowns asking for £170 for late payment fees for a PCN. At first I thought it was a scam and ignored it. After the fifth/sixth letter I followed it up, noticed it was for the 2023 PCN and so provided evidence of my payment (bank transaction and the PCN check from Smart Parking website (showing no further payment required)). They refused it and insisted that I pay the full amount and have continued to harass me for the money. When I checked the Smart Parking website today, they have reopened the PCN; I have archived evidence of the paid PCN, so I don't know how they will argue that they can just reopen a settled PCN two years down the line!?
Anyway, I would prefer to eat my own toenails in a soup than pay these parasitic scum companies. Genuinely, these legally-protected parasite companies are eroding our communities and causing misery to so many people and we just blindly let them crack on with what they do, and the County Courts uphold their leaching. I genuinely feel for the poor sods who are struggling to make ends meet and get caught up by these scum.
PS. Again... how in the **** have these scum got a score of anything more than 1 on here!?
My dad sold his car about a year ago
My dad sold his car about a year ago, and then started receiving parking tickets. He contacted the dvla and they sent a letter explaining that my dad was not the owner of the car when the parking tickets were issued. My dad sent the information over to the dcbl and they are still asking for the money. This is not expectable!

This company is absolutely awful.
They recently contacted me about a parking ticket from 2022, even though the machines at the time were not working. It has taken them three years to chase this so-called fine, despite the fact I’ve lived at the same address for 12 years.
The staff are consistently rude and dismissive, even after I explained my mental health circumstances. What’s even more ironic is that they were shortlisted for the Collections Vulnerability Awards, which is laughable, considering how they actually treat people.
I’ve always been polite and paid all my debts in full, yet they still took a payment from my bank this morning without permission. When I called to explain, I was met with a very abrupt woman who didn’t even apologise. Thankfully, my bank is recalling the payment, and I will never have to deal with this company again.
Never again
