Currys - Liverpool Aintree Omdömen 

DO NOT ATTEND THIS STORE!

We bought an iPhone from this store (Aintree) less than three months ago and this week it developed a fault whereby it was turning itself off and on every three minutes. As it’s less than three months old we took it back to the shop a few days ago only to be told we had to take it to Apple.

Today we took it to Apple, who changed the board. We got the phone home only to find the very same fault was there, so because it’s less than three months old and already had one repair, we took the phone back to Currys Aintree and requested a replacement.

Sadly, at this point, we spoke to Tate, the supposed ‘manager’ who was as unhelpful as he was unprofessional! I asked him if Currys followed consumer law and he confirmed did. He then chose to completely ignore consumer law and proceeded to tell me that Curry’s policy was all he would go by and that would mean me returning to Apple to obtain an “RA” or there wouldn’t be anything he could do, as the till “wouldn’t let him”. I repeatedly explained that this was incorrect, only to be told by Tate “this is like talking to a solicitor”! The arrogance of this ‘manager’ is equal to his apparent inexperience of dealing with customers, members of the public and consumer law. He accused me of getting angry, to which I informed I was not angry but I was stressing my point that in law we were entitled to a replacement, but he was not only denying this but also showing utter contempt. When my wife spoke and then I spoke to ask a question, Tate replied, “whoa, who am I talking to!” He then started being rude and flippant by calling me mate, of which I can absolutely assure you I am not Tate’s ‘mate’!
He then walked away, leaving us standing in the shop, saying “I’m ending this conversation” so as he was walking away (in front of other customers) I was asking why he was choosing to ignore consumer law and he was again very unprofessional and patronising, saying “ yeah that’s right mate” while giving me a thumbs up sign.
It would appear that Currys can give the sales patter, happily take your money, then ,less than three months later, they not only completely and utterly ignore the customer, and treat them like dirt, but also ignore consumer law!
I would advise everyone to avoid this store at all costs.

Ordered click and collect in stock at Aintree. Received e mail within 1 hour ready to collect. Phone call received 30 mins later to say bout in stock but they have item in Speke, 12 miles away. Stated couldn’t collect from Speke. Advised it would be at Aintree 3 days later. Received call on due date to advise now won’t be in store for a further 2 days. Absolutely shocking service. Refund requested.

Absolute disgrace of a company.
Purchased a laptop in store in Aintree Liverpool, paid for setup in the store and the Microsoft package to be used in accordance with my business email.
The member of staff who told me a Chromebook would work perfectly was Tate the so called manager of the store, then passed me over to another member of staff for the setup who was on his 2nd day of the job.
When the set up the laptop they couldn’t use my business email for the Microsoft office package so decided to make up a random email to use it with, but as this is a Chromebook I cannot use the Microsoft software in accordance with my business email on 365.
Also as it is a Chromebook which has no desktop means I cannot download the software to the actual laptop to use without logging into the false email.
I returned to the store within 48 hours of the purchase to make an exchange to a windows laptop to make everything work better together, but I was told I cannot exchange it as the laptop was opened.
Even though the laptop was opened by a member of there staff when I paid for the setup.
Then after making this clear to them the so called ‘manager’ Tate came over and rudely and aggressively argued with me in middle of the store telling me I cannot have an exchange or refund as it had been opened.
Then was told to ring customer service to resolve the matter, which I have now been waiting 3 weeks for a resolution and have chased it numerous times to be told I will have an answer within 48 hours.
I have logged 2 complaints with reference numbers but still nothing has been done.

This company is an absolute disgrace and the customer service is appalling, I would strongly advise anybody to go elsewhere when buying any tech product, also to stay away from the Aintree Liverpool store because there staff are appalling especially the so called ‘manager’

The person who sold me my computer was very understanding of my requirements

We had to wait a while to get some assistance but finally the young lady was really helpful

Item was attempted to be delivered, but was damaged! New date given, then date changed again!

I ordered a speaker and was assured it would arrive on Saturday. They have not sent any correspondence regarding this issue. So went to the store. The assistant did not seem to know what was going on and said come back on Tuesday

The Sales rep Nathan and the Samsung rep Kev at the Aintree store helped us to choose the right tv to replace our old one. Both did their best to make sure we walked out of the store completely happy with our purchase.

The currys salesman Alexander was absolutely superb. Knowledgeable about the product and his customer service was excellent. Really made me feel like a valued customer.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Aintree Currys today. I bought a fridge freezer in Feb 26 and it had been making some loud noises. They initially asked me to get the manufacturer out to have a look at it (which is reasonable). They came but couldn’t diagnose a problem. The noises came back so I went into the Aintree store (where I bought it) and they agreed to swap it for an alternative. The manager and member of staff were really good about it and helped me get the matter resolved. Well done you, I will use you as the primary destination for future purchases.
