Currys - Colchester Omdömen 

It fairly quick once we found an assistant. We are both disabled and use walking aids so it can be a bit of a struggle having to look for staff.

We purchased a washer dryer on 31st July 2026 from stanway store. After using a couple of times water started leaking from door making floor wet. This morning a engineer came out to repair said it was not 🤞leaking from door but from drawer, after adjusting water pressure he left. Put a wash on and low and behold still leaking from door as told to engineer. Phoned engineer straight away, cant come til Monday 5th October due to ordering parts, then get an email saying actually parts out of stock probably around 21st October!!
Not good enough so spend nearly 3 hours on phone being transferred to 9 different people trying to get an uplift number to get a refund but still no joy so having to drive an hour to store to try and sort

Helpful knowledgeable staff on a busy Sunday afternoon when we bought a small computer, for a ten year old grandson, to be used for school work. Very pleased with item bought which was priced reasonably with next day delivery included as requested. Excellent professional service and experience.

Purchased a freezer from the Colchester store, only to find a drawer broken, ok, so all they had to do, was to replace the drawer. But no, they must replace the whole freezer, which means I will have to throw away all my frozen foods, as the new freezer has to stand for 24 hours before use. Curry’s promised to reimburse for all the food we had to waste. Which costs approx £30 to £40. Have now visited the store on 3 separate occasions, and all I get is excuse after excuse. We have bought an American fridge/freezer, under counter freezer, cooker, microwave, television. Nearly £2000 spent in the last 3 months. So very disappointed with the after sales service.

Ordered a sound bar from store which was half price as a deal with a tv. The item was out of stock and I should have been emailed when available. After waiting 3 weeks with no contact I checked online and it was available so I spent ages on hold to customer services to find out where mine was. Eventually told I could collect it from store on Sunday which was several days later than I could have got it had I ordered it online. No explanation of why I had to continue to wait longer. Went to store on the Sunday and they didn’t have it so I wasted my whole morning and I have to go back next week. I hope they have it then as Currys have had my money for a month now but I still have no soundbar. No real assistance from customer services who can’t even arrange home delivery to compensate for my wasted time today.

Damaged goods both sides of fridge freezer dented. Kitchen floor badly scratched by installers. Installation does not correspond with information from Beko. One of many examples fridge freezer is so close to the wall I cannot reach the electric sockets it is plugged into I explained where the socket would be the best for this poorly executed delivery. I was told I had 28 days to change my mind about the purchase but I note that Currys has sent to my bank 10% compensation for each Dent in the side this is not what I agree to I have conversed with gentleman in India who said he would send this onto curries I asked for somebody to come out and inspect the installation and the damage to the floor nobody has contacted me I have waited a week so far my son has sent photographs of the damage I would like the fridge freezer to be replaced with a model that has all the drawers it should have without one missing from the freezer. I feel like this fridge freezer has been cobbled together from several damage machines I am very very disappointed with Currys who might have shocked with for many years without any trouble also be eko have proved to be excellent the one that was taken out of my house before I was told about any damage was from this maker and I had ask for the latest in this model having been very pleased with my original purchase. I am still the waiting for Currys to contact me so that this issue can be resolved I would welcome a swift reply

Curry's is the surest place to get your gadgets never been tricked or deceived. I recommend always buying from them and always ask for current perks. I will be replacing my 3rd PS5 controller again soon. Lol. Worth the insurance. Trust me. Ontop of that knowledgeable and committed members of staff. Spoke to about 4 and all 4 were amazing.

Delivered promptly and products installed/removed without fuss, professionally and efficiently.

Did not like that they did not have the item in stock.
Also, after doing my research I knew more than the sales assistant.

41 unaswerd contacts 23 phone calls with promises of calls backs stay away from this company decent products competitive pricing if anything goes wrong telephone lines out of country with no power to action.
Escalation team no direct dial and does not respond £668 still outstanding for over 12 weeks shocking online blames the store which is toll gate Colchester the manager cannot do no more and try’s to assist letter before action goes un responded needed to issue court proceedings to get our money back

Beware beware will be in the national press next week !! Keep your eyes out
