Bad service
Bad service - put in an ISA transfer beginning of October with immediate effect. I telephoned five times to check on progress. Was told it on each occasion it was going through. A month later still nothing. Contacted my existing provider and was told no request had been made. Put in a complaint to Close Brothers, no acknowledgement of the complaint. Telephoned again (6th time) to find out what was happening and was then told they had been experiencing issues with transfers. I have never ever experienced such bad customer service from a bank.

I wouldn’t invest £1 with you. Your incompetence is highly alarming. I wanted to open a simple fixed rate 1 year isa. Nothing complicated straight forward stuff right? Apparently not. Letter apparently been sent out 10 days later to say cancelled due to not supplying requested id. No email received no letter received so how exactly was I meant to send id to you without knowing where or how? Absolutely shocking. We have other money with you as a family it’ll all be taken from you. No trust there now. Horrendous service. The fca will be notified of your conduct.

Very poor communication and customer service
I started an isa transfer, then cancelled it, close brothers two weeks later applied to my existing provider and took my money even though I did not have an open account with them and despite being instructed by me not to, they confirmed that the account had been cancelled and will not confirm where my money has gone.
They are a disgrace to the banking system.
I now do not know where my money is and am losing interest on it.

Close Brothers Fixed Rate Savings Bonds
Purchased a fixed rate savings bond from Close Brothers offering a higher than average interest rate. The online application process was easy and the communication thereafter was good and provided reminders about fund transfer and reassurance once the funds had been received.

Can be difficult to apply at first.
The initial application was a bit difficult for me but once in, everything was self explanatory and I was happy with that.

I year bond transfer
A fortnight ago I transferred a significant amount of money across to close brothers savings, into a 1 year bond, I can tell you right now what a terrible mistake that I made, their customer service support absolutely terrible, the advisors I have spoken with are extremely unhelpful and very uninterested in my concerns, simply wanted hard evidence of my funds in either email or hard copy which I haven’t still received on either platform, my own personal advice is stay clear from them !

Absolutely appalling
Absolutely appalling, don't even go there. Allegedly experienced payment system issues. I have no confidence in my money actually being available to me when the bond matures in a years time.

The site is easy to navigate and feels secure
