Incredibly poor cleanliness
New Woolwich Waves sport centre opened only few months ago but cleaning standards are horrendous despite huge amount of staff present. Changing rooms and showers left uncleaned for hours on all occasions I visted.

A huge thank you to Kelsey, whose hands are honestly magic. I booked in for a hydrofacial and it was hands down one of the best treatments I’ve ever had. My skin feels unbelievably hydrated, refreshed, and glowing — I can already see such a difference.
Kelsey made the whole experience so relaxing and tailored everything perfectly to my skin. I left feeling completely rejuvenated.

Highly recommend this leisure centre. Friendly staff, spotlessly clean with loads of cleaners on duty, fantastic gym with great equipment and lovely swimming pools.

Members of staff vaping on premises
I booked a Family Fun session for me and my two kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the facilities, especially the slides. However, I was deeply disappointed to see a security guard and a cleaner vaping on the premises. This is a closed environment where children are present, and it felt completely inappropriate.

We are sorry to hear about your experience regarding staff vaping on the premises.
This falls below the standard we expect at Woolwich Waves and has been addressed directly with the team.
This behaviour is not acceptable in any area of the centre, particularly in an environment where children are present.
We have reminded all staff that vaping and smoking are not permitted on the premises, and this incident is being looked into further.

I finds it difficult to book. when i go on the waiting list Im not quick enough to reserve a place. I think if your name is first on the waiting list that person should be the next to get the 'space'.

I have been visiting the Woolwich…
I have been visiting the Woolwich Waves, mainly for Gym activities. The gym is well equipped, with a good variety of equipment, and usually very clean. The only thing missing honestly are equipment for calves, which usually you see in every ordinary commercial gym around. They have space there for this type of improvement.

I've been using the new gym and classes at Woolwich Waves since it opened in January. There is noticeably more staff on hand, whether this is permanent remains to be seen as old centre had very few.
there is much natural light - due to glass windows all round, yet still feels quite cramped!
The entrance and reception are were not fully thought through. I watched someone with a walking stick fall over on entering the building due to uneven steps. Glad to see this was promptly addressed, there is now a ramped access. The reception area is a nightmare, always chaotic and congested. This requires a layout rethink!
It seems odd that there's a charge for the sauna when you previously had access through membership. As for the spa facility - far too expensive for the area!
I have yet to use the large pool. Many would prefer the option to swim in private - not to be viewed by the public on the street or from the top of a double decker bus! What was alarming last Thursday evening was watching someone taking pictures or possibly filming people in the pool from the street. I found this worrying, something needs to be done!!

Please note that we truly value our customers' feedback, as this helps us to improve.
We'd like to note that our members previously had access to a general health suite facility at our previous site.
This has now been upgraded to a Thermal Spa experience, with a sauna, steam room and relaxation area, along with treatment rooms, should you want to book this in.
We'll take on your comments regarding the concerns you've raised with the pricing and pass this on to the wider team.

Disappointing
So many opportunities to have a great brand new swimming pool but here we are…
Shame the facilities haven’t been built properly for the users: the corridors are very narroe when dropping the kids at swimming lessons, you have to queue to pick up your child where people also wait to shower.
There’s not enough family changing rooms and there’s no viewing area for parents to observe the children during the lessons.

Lovely but would love an upkept environment!
Lovely place! Recently joined and I love the range of fitness classes that are offered and how modern it is.
Would give 5 stars but the cafe area downstairs is not very well taken care of, dirty tables and floors; just quite disorganised for a newly opened place. Would love if staff could do bi-hourly checks / sweep down to ensure an upkept environment. Apart from that, very happy!

First of all the temperature in the pool changing room is cold compared to the temperature in the pool everyone is complaining about it but nothing is being done. When it opened you used a pound for the lockers that returned to you when you finished. This company changed all the lockers and now you have to buy a token for twenty pence to use the lockers. This is disgusting for them to squeeze that little bit extra from the public. Its a new building with many faults the waterfront was aging but far superior to this new build that will look older than the waterfront in no time at all.

Great staff, shame about the lack of lane swimming.
The staff are great, very helpful and pleasant. They gym is also great, but this week I fancied a swim. Sadly there are no daytime lane swimming slots for under 60s. I could go at 8am or 5pm, but fancied a quieter time. I have flagged how it's unfair to term time workers. I hope it's changed for the, Easter hols.
