Better - Woolwich Waves Omdömen 

The swimming pools are very superb and and nice. The changing rooms and all other facilities are excellent

Inside nice place but family fun place changing rooms is cold as outside water too is to cold not recommend.old one was much better .

Unfortunately, my experience with Jamal, who wears orange glasses, at Woolwich Waves was negative. He came across as rude and unprofessional, and I felt disrespected during the interaction—something I have never experienced before. I hope management addresses this so future customers can have a better experience.

Review of Woolwich Waves

We paid £26.45 for two adults and one child and visited on a Saturday in January for the 12:30–2:00pm session. Overall, it was a fun visit, especially for younger children, but there are a few things to be aware of.

The slides are in a separate section from the main pool, which can feel a bit small when it’s busy. We queued around 10–15 minutes for the slides, which was manageable but something to factor in at peak times. I would have liked access to the larger public swimming pool as part of the session.

The water felt a bit cooler than we’re used to, although it was still fine for a short visit. On the plus side, there are lots of lockers and plenty of changing space, and there were lots of staff around, which was reassuring.

The standout feature is the play area — it’s really good for 2–4 year olds who can’t swim, and our child had a great time there. While we enjoyed the visit, we might wait a while before coming back, mainly due to the crowds and limited space around the slides.

I have recently visited the Woolwich Waves having a monthly membership. I have booked for the swimming and took my daughter to swim with me by purchasing the junior swim fee but they told me She is not allowed to swim with me. To do swim together I have to purchase separate fee so it's really disappointment. So what the point having membership. this reason i don't like to refer this branch to have a membership.

The standard of service and how they assist and attend to people is worth commendation. I watched closely how they help and support people and I am grateful for that.

The only thing is the new kids pool seems to be a bit too cold, so wondering if the temperature can be adjusted

The new WOOLWICH WAVES SPA EXPERIENCE IS A TOTAL SCAM IN COMPARISON TO OTHER BRANCHES WITH SPA EXPERIENCES SUCH AS WALTHAM FOREST. They have towel robe bag facility for spa members the sauna is larger the steam room is larger and actually functions. THE GYM LAYOUT IS AWFUL AS IT NEEDS TO BE SEPARATED BY WEIGHTS ON ONE FLOOR AND CARDIO/machines on the other.

She was friendly, showed me around equipments and demonstrated.

I absolutely love the new center, it’s a maze to navigate at the minute but I am sure eventually I will be able to find my way around, I love that you have individual changing rooms and lockers, you have to put in a pound for the locker but you get the money back once you are done using it.
The other areas I like is the cafe at the front it’s so relaxing and the seatings are superb absolutely fantastic experience, there is much more to explore because I could see a soft play area upstairs also haven’t been around to the water slide area as yet but all in all I would give it a 10 out of 10

I’m disappointed on how we can’t leave our lockers overnight when we’re paying for the membership, it’s just that now I would have to carry everything with me, meaning I feel less motivated to go whenever I don’t have the equipments with me. Not only that, but showers too, they’re very weak pressure.

Amazing building with exceptional staff.

The spa experience is ridiculously expensive and out of touch. 120 minutes is far too long and not in sync with medical guidance recommending 20-40 minutes for most people.

GLL need to do better

I got a referral from my doctor to join better at a reduced rate due to health issues. They got back to me straight away offering me an appointment to find out all my needs and history so they could assess them and make a health plan for me to follow. At the same time I was given an introduction appointment to show me around the waves centre. They gave me tips to better my diet and gave me a programme to follow and showed me how to use all the gym equipment correctly and how to adjust the equipment to my specific needs. The employees were very helpful, polite and covered everything I needed to know. They will now monitor my progress throughout the programme with monthly checks and update the programme to reach my goals. Very happy with the service I’ve been given.

The yoga class was excellent. The induction to the gym was poor. There were no instructions about where to go. I wandered around the gym and found a member of staff who briefly showed me around, but didn't help me find the machines I needed. It cost a lot for a 5 minute introduction.

Everything is fine and generally wonderful, but at least in the old studio it was possible to sign up for classes in the morning. Now, when I log in in the morning, everything is already fully booked. There are no classes available that I want—neither Pilates nor Barre Fit—everything is already taken.
If you see that these classes are in such high demand, why not make them larger or add additional sessions? Now I have to attend classes I’m not interested in, and I’m even considering canceling my membership altogether.
I don’t know—it’s a large building, so it feels like everything should have been well thought out. Instead, people are complaining that the pool is small and that the water is cold. I’ve even signed up for the pool, but now I’m not sure whether I’ll go or not, because I’m worried about the cold, based on what people are saying.
Overall, it doesn’t feel very well planned. If there is high demand, please add more classes or make the classes larger, instead of holding them in small rooms where there’s practically no chance to book a spot.
