One star review for the customer service, I was in situation when my ticket was cashed out by someone else and was sent away. They didn't check CCTV cameras they didn't try anything, they just sent me away. Avoid Betfred, scammers! And avoid Betfred Barking road, machines not working properly , staff is rude!

Boring set up boring games doesn’t pay at all nothing fun about it by far the worse out there

There was a promotion 200 free spins when you sign up and deposit £10. Did that. Used up the £10 still nothing. Contacted support they said it will take 48 hours. Waited 3 days nothing. Contacted support again. They said they need age verification. Wait a minute they allowed me to gamble without knowing my age? OK strange. Chatted to the support for a while. I asked butch if questions. They sent a me massive paragraph regarding complaints. Before I could screenshot it for evidence they ended that chat.

Placed a bet, went to cash out, my ticket somehow was cashed out before! I was told they can check the CCTV cameras to see the time my ticket was cashed out and who did that , after 2 minutes waiting I was told to call the police!

I put a bet on Jannick Sinner to win the US Open Tennis he was withdrawn long before the tournament started
This should have been a non runner not a loss bet ,every other bookie paid out as a non runner except BetFred

Betfred — slots review

I deposited around £1,000 over the course of a month playing slots on Betfred. I got essentially nothing back — no meaningful win at any point.

What stood out to me:

· Free spin bonuses (triggered by scatters) paid almost nothing. In a 10-spin bonus, the first several spins paid zero and the last few paid only £5–£6.
· Losing wasn't occasional — it was constant. Session after session, the balance only went one way.

I understand slots have a house edge and that wins are structured to be rare and small. But the reality of playing them is different from reading about it: you lose almost every time, and the small wins never come close to covering what you've put in.

Just played goonies cash inferno, I only needed 1 more gem to get to the feature, plus feature on reels is a joke, over 40 times 2 came in but the 3rd never did, spent £150 to finally get into the feature and I only got £37.50 back which is awful on the stakes I was playing, the game says its a 93% payout on long term play? Which is a lie, plus the highest win I got apart from the feature was £8. It's the same on alot of the games on this site, most games say 93% payout which is a load of bull, £1000 put into this site, returns £140, dont need to be a mathematician to work out that the returns are awful. Also theres been days when it said ive played when I haven't, taking money from me.
All in all stay away, also I contacted them about issues and concerns, no reply.

I see nothing has changed, thought i would give them the benefit of the doubt, still no where near payout percentages promoted, so if this is like it with me, I guess its the same for many thousands of people.

Do not sign up on this site; it’s a total rip-off. They use systems that make it impossible to win even 10% of the time—they offer absolutely nothing. Someone really needs to investigate them, because something is definitely not right; depositing a ton of money and never winning is absolutely outrageous.

I've always had trouble with login, but usually get logged in, today they kept saying i couldn't login or username or password was wrong, username always is there, tried 7 time to re set, finally managed to get in and place my bet for new york lotto, said it was successful, now trying in login again to check my betslip and back to same problem can't login! My review as a new customer relates to their online platform and a game by prospect gaming called Get lit. It's 18.09.26. I'd been playing the game for days on end. I ploughed in hundreds. I won zero. I never ever EVER once got a feature. Not one. Take take take. Eventually I tried to contact customer services on 13.09. It's chat only. AI first which is painful then a completely dead 'live agent' after a painful wait with zero contact. No bother, I was informed they have a customer services email. So I emailed them discussing my concerns about this game. They replied saying stuff you this email is for retail partners only and login and contact chat as that is our only platform for pleb customers like you. I play on this game again, again and finally after what 10,12 days of playing finally get a feature. It's been full for a fortnight and I get £28. The play on this game is utterly abject. One can take ZERO enjoyment. The RTP must be diabolical. I play on. It takes nearly a fortnight to get a single feature (line spins are utterly abject). I then finally after this time get the feature by the other route (simple accumulation of coins). Only by some of my calculations £2700 worth of coins have gone into this feature. I get £13. Features are impossible to achieve and even then they are rubbish. I've now had four. So so so boring. Coin drops of mostly naff coins of 80p. Yes, the multiplier does kick in but often it's 2x 80p most feature wins (I play 40p) are £20 or way less. I had the ignomy of my last win (accessing by actually getting six coins) of getting lots of bonuses (dynamite explosions) that extend your play and multiply your wins, but it dropped in no coins. So the win was rubbish. So, RTP. So it's random? Utter hogwash. Impossible. I've played for weeks. Different days, times. Ive won ZERO. It simply takes consistently. The feature wins are low circa £20. It hoovers that immediately. Line wins are utterly abhorrent almost exclusively on or around your stake. I have won £31 (biggest) on a line spin and it took that and £45 afterwards. The game never ever ever ever streaks, you never ever ever get combined wins, successive features. Feature then a great line win. If you win it gobbles all of it. Then more. It is simply impossible to get in front. Try and tell them. Impossible. I'm off to another platform. Do the same

Betfred took thousands of pounds in deposits from me and then blocked my account, claiming there was an “identity mismatch.” This is completely unacceptable for a licensed operator.

date of birth

mobile number

payment‑card identity

All of these matched in my case. Every single one.

Despite this, Betfred’s CEO and Legal team accused me of “circumventing the system,” which is inaccurate and misleading. They refuse to explain what they believe I supposedly did, because they know the key verifying details matched perfectly and their systems failed.

Instead of taking responsibility, Betfred simply closed my account and kept the deposits — while ignoring every request for clarification. Senior executives were contacted directly and provided no response at all.

This behaviour shows:

failure of safer‑gambling controls

failure of customer protection

failure of governance

refusal to engage or explain

If you expect responsible‑gambling protections, transparency, or basic accountability, be extremely careful. My experience shows that Betfred’s systems can fail in the most serious way, and their leadership will not respond when it happens.

Update on BETFRED response - Thank you for responding, Scott. Unfortunately, your reply does not address any of the serious issues raised.

Betfred took thousands of pounds in deposits while I was a previously self‑excluded customer, despite all key identifiers matching (full name, date of birth, mobile number and cardholder identity). After taking those deposits, Betfred then blocked my account and claimed I “circumvented” the system — a claim that is unsupported and has never been explained.

Senior executives, including the CEO, were contacted directly and have provided no acknowledgement, no clarification and no engagement. This lack of response is now part of the regulatory breaches themselves.

I have asked Betfred to confirm what they believe I supposedly did to “circumvent” their system, but Betfred will not respond — because the key verifying details matched, and the failure was Betfred’s, not mine.

I will continue to escalate this matter through the appropriate regulatory channels

Not worth playing or the half a star on here on this site games are not working and they're just spinning to take your money a whole 3months of taking without giving noting back

Can't comment on account here message the email same email that for over 3 weeks ignores messages your being investigated for multiple issues rigged machines closing accounts when you question there pop up safer gambling.
