Excellent service from choosing the mattress to delivery

I would like to provide feedback about my recent experience with the initial sale, delivery and collection of my mattresses.

At the point of sale, the sales agent had specifically advised me that my old mattresses would be collected when the new mattresses were delivered. I therefore understood that collection was included as part of the order. However, when the new mattresses were delivered, the delivery crew informed me that collection was not included on my order and referred me back to Bensons. As the delivery took place outside of office opening hours, I was unable to contact Bensons and resolve the issue while the delivery crew were still present. As a result, they left without taking the old mattresses.

When I later contacted Bensons, I was advised that mattress collection is subject to a separate fee. This additional charge had not been explained by the sales agent at the point of sale. Had I been given accurate information, I would have been able to make an informed decision about whether to arrange and pay for collection.

I subsequently asked Bensons to arrange collection free of charge, as the situation arose because of the incorrect information provided at the point of sale. However, this request was declined on the basis that the delivery crew were no longer present. I do not consider this a reasonable basis for declining my request or at the minimum, good customer care.

The experience with this company was very positive. The in-store assistance in choosing the mattress was helpful and quite comprehensive. Communication regarding delivery and the removal of the old mattress was very clear and timely. On the day of delivery, the staff were very polite and efficient. All in all, the entire process was excellent. The mattress itself is superb, exactly what we were looking for: comfortable, well-finished, and of very high quality.

We ordered a super king bed from the excellent sales assistant Alex. On delivery, we had issues with one of the divan units - fixing holes at both ends, instead of one end, for fixing the headboard. The black headboard material, which covers fixings at the back, was torn.
We also had an issue with the mattress, as it is super king, we couldn't get it up the stairs to the bedroom.
All issues were resolved by the excellent sales assistant Alex, who arranged for a complete replacement bed and supplied a two-part zip mattress.
We are now very pleased with the quality, comfort and aesthetic of the bed and would recommend Benson as a premier supplier of beds.
