Bensons For Beds - Erdington Omdömen 

Bev the sales lady was very knowledgeable and helpful me picked a very comfortable mattress, customer service was great from the moment my son and myself entered the store. Would highly recommend to anyone who needs advice and in the market for a new mattress.

From my initial browsing in store, Ryan’s knowledge and help in choosing my product to delivery which was on time, I was kept well informed the operatives handled my bed and mattress with care and they worked efficiently leaving everything clean and tidy 10/10

I ordered a Slumberland king size divan base with 2+2 drawers, along with an Erin headboard; I love them. Colour is great (Linen Beige) & the headboard is really substantial. Staff in store were really helpful & the delivery experience was excellent; am more than happy with my purchase,

It was a clean and well presented store. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. They took their time to explain everything and answered all of my questions. Overall a great experience made easier for me by a very knowledgeable member of staff.

After perusing the Bensons for Beds site on the internet on Thursday (13 Aug 2026) and deciding on a particular mattress, we went out on Friday (14 Aug 2026) originally with the choice of mattress idea in mind to the Bensons for Beds store in Tamworth. Only to find that the store was closed for major refurbishment, not a good start. As we were getting back to our car, a female staff member came over and told us the store had officially closed for refurbishment the previous evening (Wednesday 12 Aug 2026). Sorry, but I have to say I was not amused with the fact that there was no information on the Bensons for Beds site that the store in Tamworth would be closed on a certain date for refurb. I mentioned this factnto the female staff member and was given the response that a notification was on the site (today - 14 Aug 2026). What sort of customer communication is that? I think it is very poor. So then, still with our impending mattress purchase in mind, we drove all the way back home and onto the Bensons for Beds store in Erdington. Fortunately, the store was open, what a relief! We were met by a male staff member by the name of Ave (he did tell us that he was originally going to be called ‘Dave’ but his parents couldn’t afford the “D”, lol). He was very pleasant, well mannered and helpful to the degree with discussing various merits of certain mattresses, that we eventually came away with not our original idea, but a superior mattress (slightly dearer than our first choice, but more suitable to our physical needs) and very satisfied with the outcome. We appreciated all the help and assistance we got from Ave and did not experience any ‘hard sale pitching’. Thank you, Ave.

The guy who sold us our mattress was very friendly and professional

Robert is a very attentive, intuitive, mature, respectful colleague. He is an excellent manager of the site. His insubordinate colleague who attacks the retail park manager for doing her job, on behalf of the insurance companies, not so much. Due to her action the person fell over a curb and damaged the back of her insured head and both her feet. How ever will she pay her back…. You had one day to make a positive impression and that was not it.

From the salesman in the shop who understood and answered all our questions to the delivery team who kindly took the mattress to the bedroom for my wife as I was working away AND took the rubbish away with them. EXCELLENT. 5 stars

Amazing customer service by sales person Josh, very friendly well mannered good discussion on what kind of mattress will be suitable for me due to several health issues. Overall fantastic experience and yes I would recommend to family and friends.

Ryan The store representative was very informative and explained various options and answered our questions.the mattress was diverted a week later the delivery team ( Emilian and Daniel ) kept us informed primer to there arrival, they were very polite and respected the property with every care

I recently ordered from Bensons for Beds and found the delivery service to be well‑organised and straightforward. The team provided clear communication ahead of the delivery, including time‑slot updates that made planning easy. The drivers were polite, handled the items with care, and ensured everything was placed exactly where needed. Overall, a smooth and reliable experience that made the process stress‑free.

My bed is an ottoman…The Sudbury…lovely bed… although managed to open easily in store (a lot thinner mattress) I do struggle to get my hands in easily to lift it. It should be mentioned to customers that a thicker mattress will make it harder to find the very short straps. So perhaps longer straps would change this! Once straps are located (and scuffing back of hands each time) it’s easy to lift.

I also think £150 for delivery and to assemble the bed is a little steep! That was nearly half as much as the bed cost itself.

Yes…I did get it in the sale with a good price, but it kind of negates the saving when paying a lot for delivery and assembly.

But I do love the bed and would have given it 3.5 stars if possible. But sales guy and delivery people were lovely so 4 stars goes to them, plus I do love my bed apart from the above issues. Thank you ☺️
