Bensons For Beds - Craigleith Omdömen 

Hey there! So, my girlfriend and I went to Bensons and Beds in March to buy a mattress. We had a friendly guy named Josh helping us out, but he was a bit too friendly and chatty for our liking. We just wanted to buy a mattress and get out of there, not have a long conversation.

Anyway, we told him we had a budget of up to £300. He made me feel a bit embarrassed in front of my girlfriend and sold us a mattress for £650! That was way above our budget, but he put a lot of pressure on us to buy the more expensive one.

I was already starting to sweat because I knew I’d have to use credit cards. As we sat down at the desk to pay, I noticed the price going up on the computer.

I realised he had added a mattress protector for £40 and something else for £30, which was a kind of kit with sprays and stuff. We didn’t need that, so I told him I didn’t ask for it and asked him to remove it.

Something felt off, so I just paid the deposit (£150) and left. The next day, I went online and found that the same mattress was 20% cheaper! So, I called the store to pay the rest 2 days later and told Josh and the person on the phone that the same mattress was 20% cheaper online.

The person on the phone said they didn’t know if the price could be reduced or not and had to speak to the manager. I would have canceled the order if they wouldn’t apply the discount, but the employee called me back a few minutes later and said they had reduced the price, but the delivery date would be in April. No problem for us.

We went to the store to pick up a new receipt, and Hannah was absolutely lovely and helpful! I think she’s the employee of the month!!!!

So, that was my experience with Bensons and Beds. The mattress was delivered today, and the guys put it on the frame. Excellent delivery!

Great experience in store at Craigleith, Edinburgh. Served by Josh the Assistant Manager who was knowledge and helpful, without being pushy. Really happy with the goods ordered and price paid.

I was able to get the bed I wanted, with the mattress I wanted, in just the right colour for the bedroom intended.

I could not, alas, take the benefit of your 12 months free interest credit, as your Finance Company would not apparently accept my application without me having a mobile 'phone! Extraordinary! I just paid in full in the shop.

The guy, Stephen was knowledgeable and helpful, didn't follow me around the store, left me to approach him if I needed help.If he hadn't I would have gone elsewhere so well done Stehpen.

Hannah could not have been more helpful. She offered great advice and insight, listened to our needs and also knew when to step back and let us think. No pressure at all to buy, just friendly service.

Friendly staff who explain things clearly.

Friendly and helpful. Only issue was having visited and got quote from Edinburgh blackhall branch then returned to order Monday evening I found beach closed early (7pm) when opening stated till 8pm and had been at that time week before. Ordered next day in Stirling as they were open at the correct time.

Excellent & knowledgeable sales staff who were very helpful

Very attentive staff - we were shown around the warehouse and were analysed on the bed firmness machine. My partner and I had different pressure points when laying down, so the attendant discussed preferences and compromises for mattress firmness

Phoned Edinburgh store on 16th Dec and had sofa bed delivered on the 23rd! Great service from store and Delivery team, sofa bed given the thumbs up by visiting family!

Guided me through the various options to find a suitable mattress for my posture,without pushing for a sale.

I visited the Craigleith Bensons for Beds store today to make some amendments to my order, and I was fortunate to be assisted by Gabriel. His service was nothing short of exceptional. He was incredibly patient, attentive to my needs, and demonstrated outstanding knowledge and professionalism. Gabriel’s helpful and customer-focused approach, combined with his excellent sales skills, made the experience truly remarkable. I can’t recommend him highly enough—he truly exemplifies exceptional customer service!

Staff were rude & the store was a mess with diet coke cans lying everywhere, the store manager peter wasn't helpful at all!
