Bensons For Beds - Brighton Omdömen 

Brighton store is attractive and contemporary. Customer service is excellent, friendly and knowledgeable expertise. And Bensons had exactly the right products for what I wanted. So much nicer than ordering online. Everything is handled and explained and I feel confident in my choice, the good value and the service. Thanks to Ade in the store.

Excellent service from start to finish

The sales assistant, Nick, was very helpful and greeted me as soon as I walked into the store. He answered all my questions and was very professional.

I was made to feel very welcome. When I explained I was looking for a Goldilocks mattress in 4' size Manisha was very helpful and made the whole experience a pleasure.
I was kept informed very well at every stage and the whole process was smooth and hassle free.
Benson's are very good with their communication in all areas.
The mattress is sublime, well made and will be much loved!

Ade was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was informative rather than in selling mode which is exactly how I like to be dealt with as a customer. He listened and provided recommendations without being pushy. He is an asset to B4B.

My first bed with Benson was a great experience. I'm 95% happy with my purchase. Nike, the sale person at the Brighton, Lewes Road branch. He was super helpful, gone through all my payment plans really well. The 2 guys that came to put my bed together, was really nice people. They explain about how to make sure I rotate my mattress etc.... overall great experience 😊

The service in the store from Adie was 2nd to none. We were kept informed of the progress of our order & delivery right up to 1 hour before on the day. The delivery men were very courteous when they arrived. The only complaint was that £50 per mattress to clear the old ones was a bit excessive in cost when you are spending 2.5k.

My wife & I received a First class service when we visited the Brighton store off Benson for beds. Ade the salesman was very informative and clarified all the inquiries we had regarding the different options and our needs. This was a pleasant experience and gave us the reassurance to make the purchase.

Good bed; process and information seamless and on time. Very Pleased. Delivery man assembled bed in the bedroom, ready for use in very little time and skillfully.

UPDATE, 25/06/26 following Bensons response saying they would look into this, I have heard nothing, now looking into trying to sell the mattress and recoup some monies to pay off the finance as I am completely fed up with the back pain in the morning, this Tempur mattress was a complete waste of money!! I will then be looking at independant retailers who offer the longer trial period and actually care about their customers...

I am writing to warn others, especially those with back issues, about the sales tactics and poor advice given at Bensons for Beds. My partner and I visited the Brighton store to find a suitable mattress for my specific lower back problems.
The Experience:
From the start, the sales staff pushed the Tempur range, ignoring my initial hesitation over price and whether these were suitable for my needs.
We first opted for a Sealy Posturepedic and really gave it a go in the time frame we had but found it felt too hard. Because the Bensons "Sleep Guarantee" is short (40 nights) compared to the 100-night industry standard, we had to make a quick decision to exchange it.
Upon returning to the store, instead of listening to my feedback, the staff yet again pushed us towards the Tempur Pro Plus SmartCool, recommending a "Medium" firmness for my back condition. We trusted their "expert" advice and agreed to pay the difference, which also turned out to be a disaster, as the manager later called and explained we had to take out a second finance agreement as this could not be added to the initial finance agreement, this was something else that was not conveyed in the shop visit.
The Result (6 Weeks Later Since Delivery):
This recommendation has been disastrous. The "Medium" tension provides zero support for my back. I am sinking so deeply into the mattress that at times I can barely move or turn over, and I am waking up in severe pain every morning. It is essentially unsleepable, and more importantly not fit for purpose.
The Warning:
Bensons seems more interested in pushing expensive Tempur foam mattresses than listening to medical needs. If you have back problems, do not rely on their in-store advice. We are now left with a premium-priced bed that is ruining my back and uncomfortable, and because we have already used our one "exchange," which was also not clearly explained in store, we are left with few options. We have spoken to the store and Sarif in Customer Service to no avail. They are not interested. Proceed with extreme caution.

Brilliant. Excellent recomendation on the search website. The staff at the shop really looked after you. Made sure you had all the information you needed and let you take your time deciding on your choice. The delivery was very smooth. The team that came were very professional and speedy and managed the delivery in quick time. Overall marks A++. Would definitely recommend and use again.

UPDATE:
After posting this review,
Benson for Beds responded publicly saying they would help resolve the issue.
However,when we spoke to them directly by phone, we were told again that they cannot help and take no responsibility.
We purchased the base on 6 January 2026 and the mattress on 11 February 2026.
It is not acceptable for moisture to develop under the mattress and inside the base in such a short period of time.
Despite the 10-year guarantee that was advertised, no solution has been offered.
The contradiction between their public response and their private communication is very disappointing.The moisture issue remains unresolved.
