Everything about working with batten home has been flawless through and through. From the customer service end, Jalee helped to ensure I found the right decor that best fits my style and I have nothing but excellent things to mention regarding her character and professionalism.

I ended up purchasing the string workspace which has been the best workstation for me especially working from home. Easy to install, incredible guidance from Jalee on the backend, and I absolutely love the ash white!

I just purchased the Music System BT and it arrived within 5 days! It was super quick shipping and a quick set up too. It is one of the best music systems that is aesthetic and functional at the same time. Some music systems don’t look good on your cabinets but this matches my decor perfectly. I was looking for the best US distributor to order MUUTO products online and discovered Batten Home in my search. I had such a great experience. They are up front about shipping times on the product pages, and when I had a question about the status of my order, they were quick to respond! Highly recommend shopping with Batten Home.

I was unsure the shelves I purchased would fit my home, so I asked to cancel my order within the first few hours of ordering. Jalee then asked if I wanted to switch to the shorter shelves, which I agreed to. The way the Shopify App processes changes is so counterintuitive; the total of my cart was almost twice the price of the total. Instead of deleting the item, the item price was included in the total, which meant the tax was 2x the price too, so the numbers didn't make sense. I tried to ask Jalee to explain what was going on, but I was told to talk to my bank.

Jalee refused to help me understand what was going on with my receipts that we had agreed to change. Why did my total say $348.75 for an item that's $148.75? I wanted to understand my bill and if the $40 credit I had was still applied. I am not happy with the customer service.

Regarding the response from Batten Home:
Batten Home is ignoring the second half of my review, which directly involve them.

I acknowledged and apologized for the issue with another charge that appeared along with the "refunds" for changing my order. After being told to "talk to my bank" for this issue too, I did. And I did research on my own, which led to my first negative review (which is now deleted) of Batten Home because it looked like they charged me a hidden inconvenience fee. Jalee finally responded after the negative review was posted on Trustpilot, and things were finally cleared up, which lead me to delete the negative review.

When I asked for clarification on the actual order of the shelves, since the prices looked inflated and still didn't make sense, I was STILL met with "talk to your bank" instead of walking me through the charges on my receipt. This is why this review exists. Since I was told to talk to my bank and they are ignoring my emails, I had to try to understand the inflated receipts and talk to the bank. I initiated a chargeback because the numbers seemed off and Batten Home was not assisting. It doesn't feel good that I have to go to extreme extents to try to be taken seriously. It's also frustrating that Batten Home replied to my review here today, but not to the two emails I sent yesterday.

All I wanted was clarification and understanding. I don't know why I had to go to these extents for Batten Home to break down the costs of the shelves. Which, by the way, they still haven't given me a breakdown of my two orders.

If you’re looking for high-quality, timeless pieces and want to support a family-owned business that truly cares about design and their customers, I cannot recommend Batten Home enough! The customer service is nothing like the bigger sites. They are quick to answer any questions, making the whole process feel personal rather than just another online transaction.

It took two weeks for them to ship the product I ordered. I did not realize that I had a previous bad experience with them almost three years ago. Shame on me for going back. Will not happen again.
