So Incredible, I felt compelled to write this 5 star review!! I didn't read the reviews before order but I didn't need to worry! My order was despatched the same day and I received it at 9am the next! It doesn't get any better than that! Thanks guys I will be ordering all the Christmas presents I need for kids from here. All the toys I bought are very high quality at a reasonable price. I am a very happy customer!

Waiting over 2 months for a refund for a faulty item.
UPS rejected my return at first as I didn’t have EU paperwork alongside my parcel going back to SWEDEN.
Went back again with said paperwork and it turned up back at my house- contact Alex and Alexa. They realise they’ve sent me the Swedish address by accident. All I get is- sorry for the confusion.
Another 6 miles later and I finally send it off. Weeks later, still no refund. Contact them- nothing. Then receive a remittance letter from UPS!
They did refund this for me but then I get told I’m a liar for asking for mileage.
Honestly awful customer service- I suppose I didn’t spend thousands on designer goods but that shouldn’t matter.
Would recommend purchasing elsewhere and not touching these with a bargepole

Very happy with my order
I did check reviews before ordering. I was a little worried as was being delivered from outside of UK and using UPs and never ordered from Alex and Alexa before but I am glad I looked past the bad reviews and took the gamble to order some beautiful wooden play pieces by STOY that were amazing & at affordable prices. Just built the washing machine and not only was it packed and protected well it is well made and looks perfect, I love that it is a lot bigger than other versions of play washing machines out there and went well with the IKEA play kitchen we own. Also bought some cute cup cakes and the sushi as well as the play iron board. Delivery was quicker than I expected and easy to track, got plenty of update emails letting me know where it was and how long it will be. Very happy and would order from Alex and Alexa again especially the lovely STOY stuff.

Delivered the wrong item and never issued refund
Delivered the wrong size toddler sandals. I returned via their own returns and tracking company. 4 months later, no refund and no item. Have contacted 4 occasion and raised a complaint through PayPal to no avail. Company is not UK based despite advertising as such.

Their logistic partner sucks
This is the first time I shop with Alex and Alexa. When I saw they are using UPS as their logistic partner my heart sinks. UPS lied about their attempt to deliver and asked me to collect from their access point. After trying to call them and got loads of confusing notifications from them, I contacted Alex customer service. They requested a second attempt to deliver and asked me to wait. What I got after a few days was an email from UPS telling me the parcel has reached the maximum days to be held and will be delivered back to the retailer… contacted Alex customer service again, they asked me to either contact UPS by myself or go to collect the parcel Now I have to walk 2 miles with my toddler for the collection and bring the huge box back… not a pleasant shopping experience I have to say.

Odd shoe sizes and bad customer service
Really disappointed with Alex and Alexa this is my first time ordering from the company and most probably my last. I ordered 3 pairs of boots for my daughter from this website in a uk size 2 EU 34. One of the Dr Martens I ordered ended up one foot being a size 3 and the other a size 2!! Everytime I try to ring customer service the call drops and doesnt even go through. What am I supposed to do with two odd sizes? I have written an email to them but as of yet have no reply! These were meant to be a birthday present for my daughter to wear on her birthday, surely you would think before shoes are put in a box they would have the sizes checked! Hamza Shakeel

Absolutely terrible customer service, you have to chase to get exchanged items or refunds. It took a rant on Twitter 5weeks after the original return to get my sons clothes shipped out. Avoid!!!!

Very poor refund policy isnt clear at all says its 5 working days but when i contacted them they said it needs to ho back to sweden and could take up to 3 weeks. Been waiting 3 weeks anf nothing yet. Stay away from this seller. Order number X101917456

As stated in our FAQ, all returns from UK are shipped to a hub in Coventry to then be sent in return to our warehouse in Sweden. Once we have the return at our warehouse it may take up to 5 business days for our warehouse to process it.

Over the moon with this website!!! I saw some bad reviews after ordering so I was a little concerned but I bought some toys totalling £220 for my soon to be new born baby girl and the updates/ tracking was amazing, they was so quick getting my parcel to me. I can’t complain at all! The quality is amazing also. I will most definitely be using this website again!! Well done and thank you Alex and Alexa!!

Well after reading some of the reviews I was expecting to wait weeks for a refund for an item I returned, however I received the full refund the day after I sent the item back, I will definitely be ordering from this company again.

Ups delivery and returns process is disastrous. I’m still waiting for a refund and this shouldn’t happen. I can’t use this company again as o cannot be out of pocket for so long. The warehouse can surely confirm receipt and a refund should be issued! You cannot expect customers to wait until UPS decide to send the item back to Sweden. Terrible service.

Allow me to explain a bit further what went wrong.
As you may know, AlexandAlexa is part of a Scandinavian company called Babyshop Group and our warehouse is located in Jönköping, Sweden. In order be able to offer free returns for our customers located in the UK, we have set up a process with UPS where all the returns from the UK first arrive to a UPS hub in Coventry, and then get shipped further to Sweden in consolidated batches.
This process worked very well for years, and will surely stabilize again soon, but since January this year, and the administrative changes imposed due to Brexit, the new customs clearance process caused backlogs in this flow.
Our operations team is, of course, implementing changes to this process to ensure that the return journey is entirely friction-less for our customers, so I can assure you that the refund flow will be stable again very soon. In fact, earlier this week we have received the majority of the returns which were delayed and our team has worked around the clock to process all the refunds. Starting this week, the routine and information flow between the UPS hub in Coventry and our warehouse will change and we will not allow for such a backlog to build again.
I hope this explains the current situation and the fact that you should not be concerned about the refund process going forward. Our customer service team is, of course, at your disposal to help and expedite the process, should any issues occur.
