Pathetic customer service response.
Been trying to contact them for almost 2 months as the flight was cancelled due to regional tensions.
Still waiting for my refund with zero actual response from the team.
Horrible experience, probably would never use them again

Irresponsible team. Even flight cancelled no update no information about refund . Given costumer service no is no response. Feels like scammers.

One of the worst travel agency in UAE, not responding call or mail and taking too much amount

I have bad experience from akbarbtravels for refund issue.last two weeks no response via telephone and through email.

I had a very disappointing experience with this travel agency. Despite sending multiple emails to inform them that my flight had been officially cancelled by Gulf Air, I received no response or update regarding my booking.

I also attempted to contact their hotline numerous times, but after waiting for around 20 minutes, the calls were repeatedly disconnected.

However, when I made an inquiry about booking a hotel, I received a follow-up call within minutes. This inconsistency in customer service is extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

I am having very bad experience with you these days due to refund issues. I sent many mails to you but I still not received any response. I have purchased 2 tickets recently (Eid holiday travel) and due to airlines flight cancellation was unable to fly. Airline itself cancelled one ticket and refund my money to you and you still not responding for this. I am ready to post all the emails which I have sent you, and the acknowledgment I have received from Airline. I got few reply which is not sort out my issue. I called many times on your phone not answering.

It’s has been 10 days now from the day which I requested refund.contacted the airline they are telling it’s refunded and check with travel agent.once call the akbar travels the agent telling it will take 15 more working days to get the refund.very very worst booking agents which I have been selected.
No proper support and no proper response.very hectic.

They are a bunch of scammers running this online scam.
I have been waiting for my refund for over a month and a half and still no proper response from them, nor is there any confirmation on refund.

Do not trust this company as they operate fraudulently.

I had a very disappointing experience with Akbar Travels. I booked my ticket through their app and the full amount was successfully debited from my card. However, after almost 30 minutes, I received a call from a staff member named Yasir Mehdi stating that I needed to pay an additional amount for the ticket to be confirmed.
This was completely unacceptable. If the fare was not confirmed, the system should not have allowed the payment to go through in the first place. Moreover, the staff member spoke in a very rude and unprofessional manner. Instead of explaining the issue politely, he simply said I could either pay extra or they would refund the amount.
This is not how customers should be treated. Very poor communication, lack of transparency, and extremely bad customer service. I would not recommend booking through them based on this experience.

Yeh paighaam un sab logon ke liye hai jo Hajj ya Umrah ka safar plan kar rahe hain.

Hamara experience Akbar Company ke saath bohot hi bura raha. Hamne apne Haji sahab ko unke zariye bheja, lekin jo waade kiye gaye the, unmein se kai poore nahi kiye gaye.

Sabse pehle hotel ka masla — kaha gaya tha ke hotel Haram ke bahut nazdeek hoga. Lekin ground par hotel kaafi door nikla, jiski wajah se buzurg Hajiyon ko rozana aane-jaane mein bohot takleef hui.

Khana aur laundry ki facilities bhi bohot kharab rahi. Hajiyon ko basic sahuliyat ke liye bhi pareshani uthani padi. Aur sabse afsos ki baat yeh thi ke wahan unka koi proper rehnuma ya zimmedar shakhs maujood nahi tha jo unki baat sunta.

Hamein yeh bhi mehsoos hua ke company ke log har Haji ke saath alag rawayya ikhtiyar karte hain — sab ke saath barabari aur insaf ka sulook nahi kiya gaya.

Hajj aur Umrah sirf safar nahi, balki zindagi ki sabse aham ibadat hai. Agar intizaam kamzor ho, to ibadat mein bhi rukawat paida hoti hai.

Is liye guzarish hai ke agar aap ya aap ke jaan-pehchan wale Hajj ya Umrah ka irada kar rahe hain, to company ka intekhab bohot soch samajh kar karein. Sirf waadon par bharosa na karein — likhit details aur ground arrangements zaroor check karein.

Allah Ta’ala sab ko asaan aur maqbool safar naseeb farmaaye. Ameen.

Worst customer care, Worst experince

This company is a scam. I paid them for a Singapore visa service. After receiving my payment, they stopped responding to my messages and emails and did not continue the visa process. I asked for a refund multiple times, but they completely ignored me. I lost my money and received no service. Please be careful and do not use this company.

Let me update about my experience with your travel agency for my dubai trip with family.

Overall experience: Avg or below.

Reason: Paid almost 9000 dhrs for 4 days family trip but overall offered ameneties are Avg and feels treated as prime customer only on words.

When calculated the prices currenty exist for a customer, the offered package is having huge difference and customer satisfaction never ever granted.

Reasons,

Hotel Experience : Avg.
Facilities: Avg,
Food: Avg.
Rides levels offered: Avg.
Logistics: Poor, (dont feel like pvt instead experienced like Uber).

Note: I lost prime hrs due to irresponsible taxi selection.

Conclusion: Not recommeneded for future trips instead Connect to Hotels directly avoiding these kind of irresponsible travel agent and their staffs.

If you are a woman traveller, just DO NOT go to Akbar Travels for anything.

I had the most horrible experience with them just in January 2026... Went to one of their branches in Kerala for my Singapore visa. It was a girls trip we are taking and my friends applied their visa from Bangalore. I had written a detailed cover letter, stating everything including who's travelling with me, their passport details, where we are taking our flight from, my occupation, my savings and all that.

Despite giving all the documents, the Visa officer told me I'll not get visa because i'm a single woman traveller. When I said I'm married, he started asking questions like why my husband isn't coming on this trip, and why he hasn't given me an NOC and all that.

Mind you, I'm working, i'm not dependent on my partner for financial needs, and I have a good paying job. The Singapore embassy states we need NOC from husband only in cases where the wife is dependent financially on the husband.

This was not the case for me. I submitted the documents on 6th January, and this officer said he sent my documents to Chennai office that day itself. And 8 days later, on 14th January, when I called him to ask for an update, he says that the Chennai Akbar travels office has denied my application because I'm a single lady traveling. he waited 8 days to tell me this. The rejection didn't come from the consulate, but from their office.

He then delayed giving back my passport despite me telling that I need to give this to another agency.

The male ego and primitive thinking at Akbar Travels was nothing short of a shock for me. NEVER EVER OPT for them, if you are a woman travelling abroad.
