With over 100 years in the fishing industry and one of the largest privately-owned fleet in Britain, we catch, land and sell the finest quality fresh fish from Newlyn, Cornwall. Our own fleet of boats allows us to have control over the entire process, from the catch sector, to processing and then directly to your plate. With careful handling throughout the entire process, we pride ourselves in providing the highest quality fish to your plate every time. Today, our core fleet consists of 12 beam trawlers still fishing out of the tidal port of Newlyn Harbour every day. Providing jobs and work for the local community is very important to us while supporting other local businesses and fishermen, and we hope to continue fishing with the Newlyn community for many more years to come. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the freshest display of seafood I've ever seen. The quality of the fish is unparalleled, with each item looking like it was just caught that morning.
The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their products. They were more than happy to answer all my questions and even offered some excellent cooking tips. It's clear that they take pride in sourcing only the finest seafood, and their commitment to quality really shines through in every aspect of their business.
Whether you're looking for a simple dinner ingredient or something special for a big occasion, this is the place to go. The variety is impressive, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you're getting. I can't recommend them highly enough.

First fish box - excellent!
This was my first fish box from this company, and the fish was excellent. There was a good selection of fish, and it was fresh and tasted really good.
The only issue was that the polystyrene box was very broken in transit, but this was not the fault of W. Stevenson, and did not affect the quality of the fish.
I shall order again in the future.

Dressed crab was delicious as well as the lemon sole.
However we were very disappointed with the haddock as it had a slimy feel when unpacked and the flesh was rather dry and far from soft and sweet after cooking and spoilt our experience.
