This used to be a fab game. Love the idea of playing scrabble with people from all over the world.
Lately the game keeps glitching and kicking you out in the middle of a game. Especially when you're playing the lightning round or against the bot. The ads seem like they are getting more constant, on almost every move now. Very disappointing!!

I can no longer win a game when I play against the bot. Clearly they want me to buy buy buy more tokens which I will no longer do. It’s dishonest. Their words are often rubbish, no idea where they come from. I’m disappointed, it was once fun now it is just a big con.

So disappointed to write a negative review of a game that has filled my free time for years. I can't take their CONSTANT need to advertise, now ads you can't even close without adding yet another app (I'm sure equally despicable!) Deleting Now. So disappointed and disgusted.

Have tried for at least a year to remove my account as my password was leaked in the big hack they had in 2019. They didn't bother to make it widely known that this happened. It is impossible to do and they make it difficult to contact them. I did find an email address but they didn't bother to answer.

I am so enjoying playing WWF! Been playing since 2018. At first it’s a learning curve but now my strategy comes second nature. I never start a game. Others just start a game with me. And I do feel that it helps to sharpen my mind.
Like on any social media app watch out for the stockers. 🤪

Installed wwf2 today to try it out. Each move was followed by long long ad. Game is not fun, uninstalling today.

Zynga's effort to monetize this game is disgusting. The constant pop-ups to switch to "premium." Nothing like paying money to improve your performance. It used to be a pure scrabble-like word game with occasional promotion. Now the promotion is constant. About to leave forever and play good, old-fashioned Scrabble. Ugh!

I was quite surprised to see so many negative reviews. Yes I agree that Zynga should not allow it to become a dating site and also there are too many scammers trying to sell bitcoin and forex trading systems but they are easy to spot and block. Just for the record I never get advertising and I’ve been playing since 2012

The commercials are crazy, especially the Stihl one, you can’t get out of it. Has been on screen for over 5 minutes, can’t get out of it.

Lots of scammers let through on this site and creepy people looking to hook up recently. Really WWF!!?? You should be ashamed of yourself allowing this to happen. Used to be a great game

I was introduced to this game by my nephew and we have been playing regularly for several months. But from the start there were two irritating features:
1- The ads. after EVERY move there is an ad which usually lasts 30 seconds with no way to quit. And often the mute tab does not work so you are forced to listen to the whole thing. There is an option to opt out of the ads (but not the clutter of rewards etc) but this is outrageously expensive. For example more than a Netfix subscription!
2- the in App clutter of extra options/rewards etc that are of no interest. Why anyone would want to pay money for any of these options is a mystery to me.

After all this time (and the main game works well) I finally had enough and have uninstalled the App.
My nephew found an alternative, where for £4.99 you get a completely ad and clutter free experience.

I have been playing this game since 2011. I consider it a brain activity. Lately issues have become so frustrating that I am forced to quit.The constant freezing and getting stuck on ads that won’t go away interferes with smooth play. Worst of all are the demands to pay to upgrade. Why should I pay for the privilege of some nonsensical “rewards “????? So many people use “cheats” and it’s obvious. You have created your own downfall. I’m no longer willing to spend time on what has become an aggravation.

I've played for about 8 years or more in classic and this year they stuck me in global which I can't stand why would I get points to place in top 3 in classic to claim 3 in global which you don't need as much to win those coins this game is becoming a joke

The exchanging the letters is more miss than hit! Ex: swap 4 letters because you have all vowels and no consonants and you get back the same letters when there are still 38 left to choose from! Not a very balanced game!! This has happened more times than I can count!! Love this game but argh!!!

I want to know why they made the gameboard so small⁉️ I get a headache trying to play the game now.

Dreadful exploitative programming. So poorly written. If one didn't want to play scrabble so badly one would never ever use this awful program. There is nothing about it that is positive. Badly written, frustrating, awful adverts, rubbish. But if you do want to play online scrabble it's about the only one as far as I can see. Tell me if I am wrong.

I’ve played WWF 1 and 2 for about 10 years… you raised the price for coins and now it’s just a big mess net grab… I once like bed it but I will be deleting it once my coins are gone. You ruined your own game. Back to good ole Scrabble

I’ve been playing for 8 years. I like the new games. I’ve purchased coin packages several times and upgrades. But……I’ve used letter swap only to receive the same letters I’ve exchanged. The upgrade rewards have gotten smaller. Many people are using this as a dating site. I’m not liking the direction Words with Friends is going. Very frustrating.

The game is clumsy and slow. It is not very intuitive and is interrupted continuously by ads and encouragement to purchase various supposed advantages. The screen frequently freezes for apparent reason. A poor overall experience

I love this game beside many advertisements, Which you have to wait for, and they make money off of your patience! it gets stuck which means I have to turn my phone off and then on again, this is words with friends2....I'm just about over it! What are the owners ever read these reports?
