If you want to play a game that seems to be designed by a group of 10 year old used car salesman, try this. Non stop Ads popping up, so you can't concentrate, shaking the screen.
TERRIBLE GAME.
I apologize to 10 year olds, they are much better than the dumba***** that designed this GARBAGE.

In Word Rivals (a game within the app where you use coins to play) The game gets stuck ALOT and there is no reimbursement.

The game itself is okay, but the special games (quick play, etc.) keep crashing and freezing. And when it does that it counts as a loss for you. If you've paid coins to play, you're out of luck. Zynga doesn't respond to messages or emails.

Aside from that, there are a lot of annoying messages and pop-ups. The game also defaults randomly to changing your tile styles. The whole thing is really annoying.

Trashy interface, too cluttered, too many ads, too many gimmicks. No way to customise/eliminate the dross you want to see. I will stick to Wordmaster and play against the 'droid.

After 500 games against same opponent we are ALWAYS within 2 or 3 games of each other. Nothing will convince me that letter distribution is random - throughout the whole time we have been playing WE have been convinced that letter distribution is being manipulated (To what end, I am not sure). Multiples (3 or 4) of one letter in a rack occurs far too frequently for it to be random. Trying to play through a rack of almost all vowels as opposed to swapping, invariably results in…..more of the same.
Adverts, banners, other games, rewards, coins….drives me mad! I should have checked other reviews before playing -they say it all. Uninstalling now and glad to be rid of it. Trying a similar game by different supplier and initial indications are that it is much better. Time will tell.

Loved this game until recently. Ads popping up advertising other games which I have no interest in. Then have to reboot to get back to a game.
Have contacted Zynga who seem disinterested.

Ads are obnoxious. Always trying to convince me to spend $12.99 to go add free for up to 45 days. Very slow to load, always suggesting I start a new game with a stranger. One photo was of a woman with huge cleavage. Not my cup of tea.
I play because my retired friend and I enjoy scrabble and we live many miles apart.

The ads are terrible can't get out of them goes to play store the can't get back on game. Used to enjoy this game but not now

SCAM. DON’T GET THEIR REWARDS PASSES
The first time it’s great. $6.99 is a lot to get nothing. Just buy the coins it’s cheaper. If you buy swaps they’ll scam you there too. If you don’t get them afterwards prepare to only get AEIUEEO or letters like it til you buy swaps again.
They manipulate with this game to make more money. I’m just stopping playing altogether.

My wife and I both like this game. However just recently when you play the solo challenge at the higher end it is virtually impossible to win. The app either gets all the big letters or gives you crap letters. This really makes the game annoying.

Tried this out today and lasted 10 minutes before uninstalling. WWF is extremely gimmicky and always pushing adverts on players. Try out Wordfeud , it's straight forward, scrabble like word playing without ads.

This game allow way too many bogus bs words. The bot opened up with the word unai. In some places that’s a pronoun. Merriam webster doesn’t even have a definition for it unless i erred searching. I have come across abbreviations as well. You all need to get this game right.

This game has a ton of scam artists, and Zynga doesn’t care. Zynga also bans people for no reason and has no way of getting ahold of anyone

Disappointing. The videos are an annoying but understandable way to make money and I had been thinking about paying for the premier version. Today the video was advertising a dating agency and the pictures portrayed women as sexual objects. I now can’t play this game with my grandson nor will I watch any more videos. I will also look for an alternative amusement.
UPDATE: they contacted me to say how to contact them with details of time, place, etc of the advert. A positive response, but I didn’t take notes at the time.

The game is a ripoff. It's very easy to accidentally hit the button to play a solo wordmaster, for 25 coins (which cost real money). There is no confirmation dialog. I know - I've done it 3 times today.
And of course, then you have to play that game (whether you wanted it or not) in order to get to the next free play with a solo wordmaster.
It's software design 101 to always confirm spending - this design wouldn't pass an entry level QA engineer or developer fresh out of college. I've been playing since 2012, and been seeing more and more glitches affecting coins that the user has already paid for. These should be safeguarded, just like cash. It's an unethical practice (I'd call it a bug, but the issue has persisted too long for me to feel that optimistic). It's a shame, I usually love this game, but now I feel taken advantage of.

Ads are so gamey and don’t allow you to close and decline. Wastes time.

Zynga have ruined this once great game. They do not stop asking me to allow ads, “So that they can keep the game free”, and at the same time they continuously ask for me to upgrade for 8.99. Upgrade for what?
All I want to do is play word games with my friends, not all their robot players etc…

What is with the stupidity of all the ads especially the ones that don't allow you to get back to your game without rebooting the game. I would join if you had even the remotest respect for the user and being only interested in THE cash grab. For shame!

This a a very interesting game especially for enlarging one’s vocabulary. What keeps me from giving it five stars?

1) Even after installing advertised games they keep sending ads for that game!
2) if I do not wish to install the advertised game, it often requires 6-8 or more key presses to return to the game. This is very irritating. I’m told that subscribing only solves the problem temporarily.
3) #2 is also true for other ZNGA games I have installed.

The fact that every male I played messaged me to try and hook up. Even after my response is I'm married with a huge amount of kids. Goodness I just like words and wanted to play! App uninstalled. The pestering is terrible!
