This is the 5th or 6th year of ordering from Wood Prairie...all of the years have been great, but this year in particular PROVED as to why you MUST invest in good quality organic seed!
I wasn't able to get my potatoes in until June 15th...I feared that we would have no crop...the seed potatoes were healthy, I just assumed I'd missed the window of good planting. WHHOOOWEE! Was I mistaken...not only are they terrifically prolific, the whole patch looks absolutely beautiful! I even have a profusion of flowers. ..yea...grabbling! What a blessing to have Wood Prairie in my life! Thank you!

Potatoey spuds
I have tried about a half dozen different varieties over time and have always been pleased. Hard to be specific about how, but Wood Prairie potatoes seem to be more flavorful than supermarket ones.

I have been using Wood Prairie as my seed potato source for many years and have never had a bad experience. Their stock is of the utmost quality and ordering through their website is easy and quick. Their selection is also very good and every variety they list has superior table quality (that is why we grow food, isn't it?).
You get to choose when your seed potatoes arrive and that is important to prevent either damage or unwanted sprouting. Their other vegetable seeds are also of exceptional quality.

The fact that we grow the seed we sell - unlike almost all of our competition - means we can do a perfect job storing the seed tubers in our on-farm potato storage and then shipp it direct to you, when you want it,10 months a year, at the exact time you want to receive it. Beautiful, healthy potatoes
We received a nicely packed container of excellent looking potato starts. We planted them and they burst into life. The information included was easy to understand and perfect for first time potato growers. I think the quality of Wood Prairie is superb on all levels, from the stock received to the service. I can't wait to harvest my potatoes!

Great products
Great products. I ordered 3 types of organically grown seed potatoes from them . . . all three grew healthily and produced good crops. Coincidentally - I hasd also ordered one type of seed potato from a big-name and well-known seed provider - only a few stunted potatoes. All were planted at the same time in the same soil.
I highly recommend Wood Prarie.
