Aaron C., the employee (I think Branch Mgr) at 1100 Lejune Dr., Springfield IL 62703, saved the day for me on November 17, 2025. I received my 1st check as an independent childcare provider via a program paid through the State of Illinois. I went to a local retailer with a money center, signed the check, provided verification of my identity, and waited. The cashier advised me that the checks source of financing couldn't be verified and he would not be able to cash the check. Frustrated, I went to a local currency exchange only to be denied the ability to cash the check because it is only accepted if the check is signed on-site. Checks that are signed prior to presenting them to the teller at the currency exchange are not accepted. Needless to say, I finally contacted WoodForest Bank to confirm there hours of operation. With only approximately 60 minutes to get an account opened and make it to another local business before they closed, Aaron C. took care of opening a new checking account, deposited the check into the new account, and gave me enough cash back to take care of the immediate financial obligations that had to be taken care of within 45 minutes total! FANTASTIC!! Aaron C. turned, what seemed as a hopeless situation into a victory! Thanks WoodForest Bank at 1100 Lejune Dr., Springfield IL.

I am an elderly female and stopped to ask a question in September of 2025. The individual I dealt with bullied me into opening two accounts (savings and checking). I had no money to put into the accounts and told him this. He stated that I didn't need to put any money into the accounts. (This obviously makes absolutely no sense). I also informed him that i had NO address; that I was staying at a motel and would need any mail to be sent to me via email (which I provided). I never heard anything from them and never received any emails. Yesterday, I received an email stating I owed $10 (never said what for - at this point I never put any money into the account). So I went to the bank today and spoke to a young African American male. I told him I wanted to close the accounts. He stated it would cost $20.00. Fine. Then he stated it was $60.00. I left and obtained the funds. I went back and dealt with an individual whose name tag said "Mo." (very professional). Mo was rude from the start. She asked me why I was closing my accounts and I told her I didn't want to deal with this bank anymore. She immediately copped an attitude. She stated I had to pay $70.00 - $50.00 to close the accounts and $20 for the bank sending me something that was returned (I have no clue where they sent it as I told the first idiot I had no address). So I paid the $70.00 and told her I was very unhappy. Her response was "You brought this on yourself." Mo was not only rude, ignorant of what I needed as a customer, and obnoxious, had I been her boss I would have fired her on the spot. Banks do NOT need ignorant people dealing with your money. When I asked Mo to provide a receipt for the $70.00 she told me no. I would NEVER deal with this so called bank again.

After 15 years of business with Woodforest with my business account and personal account, I refuse to continue with them. Greenville, NC branch manager just doesn't seem to care about loyal customers and a lot of revenue coming in. Just feel like a number, and that's not acceptable, with too many other banks out there. Moving accounts elsewhere! I've heard many others feel the same way.

I opened my accounts 14 years ago and specifically chose a smaller local bank. Finally I have given up. The bank is not keeping up with the times. The computers are always "slow" or just completely down. Today I have not been able to receive an "access code" to log onto my account. It has never really been a horrible experience but it also has never been a really good experience with them. My finances and needs have grown over the years but this bank is not doing anything to grow with me. I am not going to apply to create a new savings account. Seriously after all this time it is like first time ever talking with them. The final straw is I cannot access my own account because they don't want to get needed computer upgrades. Bye Bye

These people have now let people take money out of my account 3 times without my permission. I've filed many disputes over the phone with my credit card etc. But they want me to drive to a bank. Problem is they have none in the area no more cause they're shutting down banks left and right ( i can see why) just avoid this place. My lawyers bout to get involved. Im gonna miss a day of work just to go get my money and get a new banks. Awake ny the same place that just sold 6000 pair of exclusive shoes out the back door charged me for a shirt. A shirt I never ordered or picked out. I haven't recieved a shirt. Yet its a 32 step process to reverse the charge? Unbelievable. These guys act like they're better than u. Come on yall work at a bank that cant stay open. Be for real. These are the crooks

Horrible company. Tellers in the bank are friendly and helpful, but all other services are horrible. Constant hacking and fraudulent charges most of which they don't catch. They do fix these, but it is a continual issue. They also block international charges and I have to call EVERY SINGLE time to do these. Also takes too long for them to make funds available from non-payroll deposits, such as bonus checks. I cannot wait to convince my wife to abandon them. The one star rating I gave? WAY MORE than they deserve. You are better off hiding your money in a bed mattress.

I had to get some back dated statements to help a family member get the care that he needs. That information only goes back a couple years with online banking. I went to a local branch and the tellers there were VERY helpful! I want to say Thank You again to Anna and Rosa. They went above and beyond with customer service!

I opened up a new buiness account at the spring branch on kuykendahl. The customer service and proffesionalism was top notch. I was helped by a female named destiny. From the start of her greeting until our formal goodbyes. Everything felt absolutely comfortaby. Answered all my questions before they were asked. As well as pointing out all the odvious perks involved with my accout. Very pleasant experience. Thanks guys.

3 times I've had random charges on my card. They tell me everytime, come in and talk to us. Im 165 miles from a woodforest bank and they could easily call me. Only thing near me is a atm and it don't handle disputes. So since they closed their branch close to me, I gotta lose money? Aint no way. They're taking the money. Thats why they refuse to put it back. Waiting on my lawyer to call back now. I can see why they're going out of business. Now they're getting sued.
