Excellent engineering support let down by admin

Excellent engineering support for a rapid connection, really pleased with the speed and service provided. This was all let down by them not managing the switch from BT which resulted in me paying extra cash to BT. Not happy about that!!

Very helpful staff

Very helpful staff, especially Chantelle, Jack and Chloe.
Only downside took ages to answer phone - hung on for 21 minutes. Chloe did the final installation and was most knowledgeable and efficient.

Team Wildanet - proper job!

The team from Wildanet have installed fibre to the property for us here in rural Cornwall.
We had an inadequate connection before the upgrade, but now we are enjoying superfast broadband.
The installation to the property was not straightforward and the "civil" team had to dig a 50 metre trench from the road to get us connected, but it was done considerately and all was made good.
The installation was completed today by Kai who got us up and running and explained everything.
Proper job!

We're so pleased to hear the whole journey went well, from the civils team digging you in from the road to Kai getting you up and running and explaining everything along the way. A 50-metre trench is no small undertaking, so it's great to hear it was done considerately and everything was made good.
Connecting rural Cornwall to superfast broadband is why Wildanet exists, so reviews like yours mean a huge amount. Enjoy the speed!

Once eventually connected seems okay so far

From giving Wildanet instructions to take over my broadband at the end of January this year I finally got connected at the end of June. I lost count of how many phone calls I had to make to get updates on the installation, and most of those calls entailed someone telling me that they would chase it up and get back to me. They didn’t. The complex solutions team took weeks to fix a problem up the line to get it sorted.

Saying that, since being connected the connection seems stable and much faster than what I had before.

I just wish I could manage my account online rather than having to call every time I need anything. How does a broadband company exist in 2026 and not have the ability to allow their customers to manage their account online or ask questions on an online chat?!

A five-month journey from order to connection is far longer than it should have been, and we're sorry for that. Your installation involved complexities beyond a standard connection, but that's exactly when our communication should be at its best, and it clearly wasn't. Having to repeatedly chase for updates, and being promised callbacks that didn't happen, isn't the standard we hold ourselves to, and it's an area we're actively working to fix, including how promised callbacks are tracked through to completion.
On online account management is something that is firmly on our radar as we grow to expand how we support our customers.
We're really glad the connection itself is proving fast and stable, and thank you for sticking with us through a frustrating start, we hope the service from here on reflects the experience you should have had all along.

My engineers Aaron and Josh were very efficient

The engineers Aaron and Josh were very friendly and efficient despite the harsh weather. Talk tech to me.

Ok, so I am not yet a Wildanet customer, despite wanting to be one.
I have had several phone calls and two emails to Wildanet, trying to get a simple technical question answered. No matter how I try, there is no-one that can give a definite answer to my question. Instead, I get “maybe you can but I cant be sure”, ‘we wouldnt stand in your way from trying” etc etc.
So, what is this unanswerable question?
Simple….if I want to extend my network a an externally purchased nokia beacon 3.1 mesh unit, will the Wildanet supplied nokia g6 router prevent me (due to firmware limitations) from installing it on to my Wiildanet network.
I dont want to rent accessories and Wildanet wont sell me one.
Until wildanet finds someone to answer my question, i will continue using a 5G connectionto obtain my internet.
Come on ppl, its a simple enquiry.

Hi Tony, Thank you for the review, you asked a simple question and deserved a definite answer, we are sorry that the team at hand were unable to answer.
Our routers and Beacon units are managed through our network platform, and we can only activate Beacons originally supplied by Wildanet. A Beacon 3.1 bought elsewhere unfortunately can't be added, so it wouldn't pair with your G6 router, a platform limitation rather than us standing in your way. We're sorry our team couldn't tell you that clearly the first time you asked, this is not something they would necessarily know as customer service agents, so we will de-brief them internally should the question get asked again.
One exception: if your unit originally came from Wildanet (for example, via a previous Wildanet customer), we may be able to activate it, if you email us at customer.services@wildanet.com with the MAC address from the unit's label we can double check.
We'd genuinely like to get you connected, so do get in touch and we can also run through the coverage options we can support.

If I could give wildanet a minus score…

If I could give wildanet a minus score for their complete lack of empathy and accountability until pressed, I would. I am sure there are others who have had a positive Experience with them and I can well believe this as there are some great people who work there and I dealt with them also. The companies handling of diverse customers and their failure to own their errors goes to the very top of this organisation. I have had 3 weeks of chasing and calling. I have been told untruths by their head of customer service (This is verifiable ) The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing, they are in my observation, poor leaders running a good technological company.
They have some amazing people working for them and the commissions engineer was fully aware of their ineptitude and was happy to share it with me. That very morning they were {the engineer’s words not mine) Ordered to drop what they were doing and come to my installation to cover up the senior teams lack of ability to coordinate operation as they said they would.
On many occasions I gave my correct number yet still they tried to call on their mistakenly recorded number despite being told many times their number was wrong . The first set of workman damaged my property and garden ornament for which he left with not telling me he had done so. Again I had to chase for resolution. I eventually managed to break the ivory tower syndrome which Wildernet suffers from. I spoke to their director who on the phone was apologetic and conciliatory. Sadly after that I got a pdf bog standard “yes but we’re up against it email.”. so very disappointing.
They will of course have right to reply to this review however they and I know truly know …… They say have listened and will change (I really hope they do for customers yet to come!)then undo any good done by clumsy and inappropriate communications of robotic nature. Don’t complain as they are in denial….
Wildanet in balance is not worth the inconvenience.

The damage caused during your installation should never have happened, and we've apologised, arranged repair of the render, and provided a gesture for the ornament to be replaced. On the contact difficulties, the number recorded when the order was originally placed online was incorrect, which is why our repeated call attempts didn't reach you. Once we identified this we shared what we found with you to correct any misinterpretation, corrected your account, and apologised for the confusion it caused; it was a data error, never an intention to mislead. Your concerns were escalated to and reviewed personally by our senior team, and your feedback has directly led to changes in our automated communications.
We're sorry we couldn't leave you with a better impression. You have direct contact details for our senior team, and the door remains open.

The good news is your installation is progressing: an email went out this morning confirming your Stage 2 appointment (your in-property connection) for 10th July. Our records show the team have attempted contact several times since your order was placed, both by phone and email, so we're concerned our messages haven't been reaching you, it would be worth checking your spam or junk folder, as our emails can occasionally end up there, and making sure we have the best contact number for you.

Efficient company, great staff and very competitive prices !

Great deal from agent Mark Holland who made everything crystal clear and was a big help with a query even after I'd signed up.
Installation company were clean and quick and the final indoor connection was done by AAron who had to put up with my husband ( who has dementia) in the room growling about the drilling noise! Thanks Aaron for making what could have been an uncomfortable situation seen normal.
Bit of a hiccup with connecting my land line phones as I wanted to keep my own number and for some reason couldn't connect to overseas calls. That was dealt with by friendly and efficient staff , my only real problem was getting through to them.
I have to assume they are doing so well and connecting up so many customers the volume of initial queries is enormous and their answering time will improve when the rush dies down.
So far well pleased - hope they keep up the enthusiasm and great prices.

Five Star Service from the Whole Wildanet Team

From start to finish, we’ve had a very positive experience with our Wildanet installation.

Every member of the team has been excellent – from the original salesperson, to customer services, the engineers who completed the initial installation, and finally Chloe, who arrived promptly at 8am this morning, exactly as agreed, to complete our internet installation.

Chloe was professional, friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure everything was working perfectly before she left. Nothing felt rushed, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free.

We now have download speeds that are eight times faster than our previous TalkTalk package, and the difference is incredible. We genuinely couldn’t be happier with both the service and the product.

Thank you, Wildanet, and especially Chloe, for making the whole experience such a positive one. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you!

Once again , an utter disgrace. Totally selfish and irresponsible.

Once again , Wildanet have parked their vehicle on my private land (03/07/26), blocking my access and parking space . This area is clearly marked "Private". This is after they actually excavated my private land a couple of years back which resulted in my solicitor successfully obtaining financial redress for damage caused to my property. Wildanet have obtained substantial Government funding, yet act with total disregard to the ownership of private land and are an utter disgrace.

Wildanet, a new experience.

Matt G - (Wildanet installer) - was superb, shifting furniture out of the way to install the connection on the inside, even cleared up behind himself, then replaced the furniture - only difference was the room was tidier when he'd finished than when he started. He set my computer up on the new connection for me, and couldn't have been more helpful. The connection is vastly superior to the previous Plusnet set up, who unilaterally terminated and breached their contract with me turning me over to EE without my permission, and even passing over all my banking details to EE Ltd..

Best move made in recent times.

We took the plunge moving from EE and from placing the order to the fully working connection took less than 1 week. Super service topped by the excellent installer Ollie.
