Update, after finally getting my order a month late. Not only did I get the wrong sunscreen the one I did get I was charged for and did not receive the 30% off which they said they would honour since I had bought it during the sale and they over sold some of the items. And they charged the difference to my CC. - Five Stars
Horrible service
Horrible service. They canceled my order after waiting 2 weeks. Their typo so my bank cancelled order. I replaced order. Waited 2 weeks with canpar delivery which was horrible. One pkg arrived 2nd one did not. West coast rep said it was delivered while canpar tracking said in diepe. Very poor service. No returned calls. I wish I read these reviews before purchase of my veer wagon. Find another option.
HORRIBLE COMPANY
HORRIBLE COMPANY. They cancelled my order and did not bother notifying me, I spent days waiting for absolutely nothing. Then they tried to gaslight me about how it was an issue on my end, how interesting that i’ve used my card for years and never had a single issue until now. disgusting and unprofessional behaviour
Toxic management
I was a former employee at the (bayview location) I worked there for 9 months and in those 9 months I dealt with toxic management. First off the main manager that owns the store is unstable, fake and 2 face. She talks bad about all her employees behind their back and has said some racist remarks and has said hurtful things and has made them cry. She would even snatch things out their hand. The big fat whale blonde one has a nasty attitude problem who thinks she can talk to her employees any type of way. Has also snatched stuff out their hands disrespectfully and went upstairs with the other mangers and talked bad about their employees and customers. Their behaviour towards us has been brought up several times in meetings, and they have not changed. I also find it unprofessional and sketchy how a former thief was working there and now her sister currently is i would watch out for her. People have also complained about employees not being trained on a lot of things and that goes right back to management. My second day working there I was paired up with an employee. Well, the manager ran off and I never fully got trained and that's what they have done to a lot of the employees. Working there was honestly draining just because of management. At the end of the day this is not how you're supposed to treat your hard-working team they need to fire Elysha and Christina.

I wish ! I had read the reviews as it’s overwhelming beware of the terrible customer service . I’ll go so far as to say they deceive the consumer . I placed an order for an expensive item paid checked out … said allow 6-10 business days for delivery.
I screen shot the whole process / order even tho I’m a savvy on line shopper I want to be cautious . After time lapse went in to check my order again and then see it flagged PRE ORDER
After 3 chat in each one tells me something different then last person tells me “ you were full aware that product was not in stock “ and would be buying on preorder “
In fact no !! I see and read perfectly and have proof .
However NOW the order is flagged as such .
Am I capable of waiting .. yes
Do I understand backorder.. yes
Do I feel they duped me and basically gave me the run around … also yes
And this is the problem

WestCoast kids returns or exchange policy is none existent. I definitely will not recommend this shop to anyone especially new moms ever again. Once you have even take something out of box they will not return or exchange.
Terrible customer service
Overpriced and ridiculous shipping
First of all, this store is insanely overpriced. A lot of the same brands/products they sell can be found cheaper somewhere else.
That said, I found a bed and a mattress I really liked for my daughter, this particular mattress can't really be bought anywhere else in Canada that I could find, unless I wanted to pay more for it.
To ship the bed and a mattress was going to be over 500.00. I refreshed the page twice, thinking it must be a mistake.,.nope! accurate.
Every other furniture store online (in Canada) that I researched offered shipping for free for a bed and mattress (I was already spending a lot!), or for a minimal cost.
We ended up going through Ikea, where I got excellent products for a fraction of the price and shipping was only 60.00. The mattress from Ikea had basically the same features for way, way less.
Just to add, we couldn't pick the items up in store as : a) our local store didn't have the products and b) like many people, a mattress and bed won't fit in our vehicle.
My impression of West Coast Kids is that it is preying on the fact that all parents want the best for their kids, so they upsell their items stressing that they are "nontoxic" (they are, I'm sure, but so are many others for less) and "built to last" (ditto)., so they con people into forking over huge amounts of cash when the same products, or comparable, somewhere else would be much less. Do your research, a lot of the products they sell are banking on the name and prestige and there are a lot out there that are just as safe and good quality for much less.
500.00 shipping for a bed and a mattress between provinces is completely unreasonable. I won't shop there again.
West coast calgary the worst stores.
We got a Herschel toque for our daughter's bday and it's fits extremely small. We took the gift receipt to the store to get a larger size and the staff was extremely rude and not willing to return the toque because it was a final sale item. If the toque was a final sale item and returning or exchanging it was not an option then why would they give a gift receipt during the purchase. My wife also purchased a couple of onesies from them and one ended up with a hole in it after washing it once. They did nothing for us, and considering the onesie was $40 thats pretty poor customer service. West coast kids only cares on making the sales and not about the actual customers. Do not shop at this money pit of a store. I recommend only going there if you can not find the item you want elsewhere. And make sure 100% that you clarify the return policy before purchase.

I went to West Coast Kids at South Common in Edmonton to return a bottle with straw I bought for my baby, and the customer service from the manager was extremely awful, she was so disrespectful and ironic telling me that she wasn’t going to accept the return because my baby was the problem, not the bottle, and I filled it with water.
I could have accepted that she wouldn’t do the return because I used the bottle (of course I have to use it, because I needed to check the product before to give it to my son and realised that the straw was not comfortable and not easy to suck), but the way she used the tell me with an ironic big smile in her face that my son was the problem is simply disrespectful. How can a lady like that be the manager or boss in a place where you have to talk to people. It was so rude and I’m very disappointed of the service in the store. I used to buy in that place and now I do not want to be there anymore, not with that disrespectful lady there.
Wow Awful
Wow. Was it my mask? The woman at the front actually turned around and walked away when I came in. I was the one who said hello. Nobody else said hello at all…was it my color? Very upper white neighborhood. Bought my 600 car seat there and I had to work for that service as well. Awful.
Horrendous customer service
Horrendous customer service. I was sent a broken brand new bugaboo donkey stroller. I called them to inform them- as it’s unusable. They said it’s final sale and I have to deal with the manufacturer. I’ve been waiting days to speak to the manager because apparently they are too busy in “meetings” to address any customer service issues. All they tell me is “sorry for the inconvenience “ but they really don’t care or try to help. Spent so much money here and 2000 on this stroller, I wish I bought it somewhere else. DO NOT SHOP HERE, I never will again.

I wish I read these reviews before giving WCK thousands of dollars. They are honestly the worst company to deal with. The physical store on Bayview is horrific. You can stand by cash and no one will bother to acknowledge you. You can order items online to pick up and they will tell you it’s sold out. The first time I ordered online, they reached out to me in email saying that they oversold the item and offered me an older model instead for the same price. And everytime I receive the order, THERE IS NO RECEIPT. I didn’t think this was going to be an issue because I can always find the email confirmation but sometimes I don’t receive anything. DO NOT USE THEIR REGISTRY. They will not alert you that someone has bought something from your registry and they will not send a gift receipt with the item. You will have no way of returning it if it’s not right. I have tried and they claim they cannot find it. And do not bother entering their contests on Instagram, there is never a winner. They don’t announce winners or show you the process how a winner is selected. It’s all smoke and mirrors to get more followers. Horrible and unethical company. Do not shop there!
Terrible customer service and super slow shipping
Terrible customer service, super slow shipping and the items are more expensive than other online options. I spent thousands of dollars with them and it took my latest bad shipping experience and subsequent terrible customer service reply to realize - why do I even shop here? I've never been satisfied and there are other options with more reliable shipping and service. Will never purchase anything from them ever again and encourage families to look elsewhere - indigo and well.ca are good options.

Terrible shipping costs, hounding employees that are not helpful, nearly everything is final sale including online order that have arrived damaged. gift cards with 20$ shipping and addition 8$ handling fees.

The store on Bayview is poorly run.
The store on Bayview is very poorly run. Their products are good but they actually make it difficult to buy something. for example, we needed a crib and some other items. They said they’d put a quote together. We phones multiple times to buy it and they kept putting us off. So bizarre. We ended up going elsewhere.
This store is the worst!
This is by far, the WORST store I have ever dealt with. If you want to save yourself a lot of grief, DO NOT SHOP HERE! They have horrendous policies regarding exchanges, returns and most of all, delivery delays.

Really unfortunate they have some of the worst customer service and head office policies I have ever encountered. Ordered a Wonder wagon which is an expensive purchase and it was seriously the worst customer service to actually confirm I was getting the wagon, but they had no issue immediately charging my CC with ZERO post communication. The day I finally receive the wagon, they put the wonderwagons on sale even with none in stock. I ask for a price adjustment to be told bc THEY put my order to preorder it was now FINAL SALE?!? WORST company ever, really try to order from any other company bc if anything goes wrong with your order they will NOT help! BE STRONGLY ADVISED.
Horrific customer service
Horrific customer service, disorganized in general. Bought something online for a baby shower. Picked it in one location, said they could not deliver it to another. Then agree to it after speaking with many people. One truck a week from store to store, missed putting it on two weeks in a row. No accountability, no assistance. Said they could not cancel the order over the phone, only in person. I guess their credit card machines are different from the rest of the world. No efforts made to accommodate customers. Blame shifted to customers. Will never shop there again ever. Avoid at all costs.
