Looked after lupins…

Andy and David looked after the lupin plants I had ordered until I needed them. They arrived beautifully packed and in excellent condition ready to plant for my open garden day on May 5th. Wonderful service. Thank you.

Afternoon coffee and cake. A delicious treat!

My husband and I took our 2 young Grandchildren to the cafe last Tuesday, for a drink and cake. The waitress, Ana, was extremely pleasant and helpful. She quickly inquired about a vegan cake option for my little Grand-daughter and found something suitable. Nothing was too much trouble! We certainly had service with a smile. As for the sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce and custard, it was divine!

Webbs tea/coffee vouchers

I've been a webbs member for over 10 years, being a member used to be a real perk, the 12 free drinks were a real treat, you got to have the lovely calendar, with more money off vouchers inside, unfortunately too many conditions now apply to being a webbs member these days, what difference does it make if you have one or two drink tokens left over a 12 month period? You've paid as a member for them in the first place, and this time the price increase is from £7.50 upto £10! I was, today 4 days over the expiry date, which I didn't notice when I gave the waitress my old card and a new card to initial, she pointed out that it had expired, when I said really? I thought it was the end of the month, to which she replied well if all customers were like you we'd make no profit! ??? Excuse me Abigail, webbs make a huge profit! I'm old enough to remember when it was just a small garden centre.
Not such a nice visit today. This was webbs of Cheltenham.

Thank you for your feedback. We have taken up the inappropriate comment with the food team and are sorry that you were spoken to in this manner.

In line with other loyalty coffee offers out there, our coffee card has an expiry date. Ours is one of the more generous schemes on the market, allowing 12 free coffees to be taken separately or together over a year. Many schemes offer one coffee a month and the coffee must be taken that month or it expires. Until recently, we had not increased the renewal cost of the Clubcard in over a decade - despite recently facing huge inflationary pressures in staffing, ingredients and utilities.

We feel that our Clubcard offers excellent value for money, including as it does, 12 free hot drinks, 10% off plants all year round, four annual promotional periods of 10% off most products, a Christmas party with free fizz and canapes - as well as other offers throughout the year. But thank you for your feedback, we will keep it in mind when shaping the loyalty scheme for the future.

We went to webbs of Wychbold to take…

We went to webbs of Wychbold to take our daughter for breakfast, what a disappointment the sausages were rock hard and the bacon was stuck together. We complained to the server who apologised and took the plates away. 20 miles driven £26 spent,very poor value.

Extortionate cafe prices!!!

I really enjoy going to Webb’s at Wychbold and was so happy to see you've added wrapped gluten free cakes in the cafe that I could have (serious allergies). The happiness lasted about 2 minutes. £5.49 for a small cake which is generally bought in for less than £1.80! I’ve NEVER paid anywhere near that for one of these cakes! (And I wouldn’t have paid if I’d seen the price beforehand). They are usually around £3! Taking advantage of coeliacs and vegans I’m guessing. Well that’s the first and last time I ever buy a cake here unless of course you start pricing them sensibly and not to make a profit of over 200% for people who have no choice in life. My husband won’t have any of your cakes either, we will go to the surf shack at Aztec opposite who price sensibly. Or I will just go to Mappleborough Green in Studley where the same cake costs half your prices!
I knew your reply would suggest it’s the suppliers fault! A quick google shows suppliers such as brakes sell them at a rate of £22.99 for 12. As explained above Webb’s is the ONLY place I have ever come across adding such a huge profit. I have shared this on a Coeliac social media page and had so many responses from people saying how they also wouldn’t pay that much and how as a company you are definitely taking advantage of people with allergies.

Brakes is a wholesaler and the price through them can not be compared to the experience of sitting down to eat in a cafe where we have to pay for the ingredients, staffing and utilities - all of which have experienced huge inflationary pressures in recent years. We have been able to bring the price down slightly, by renegotiating with our supplier (who is not Brakes). We act in good faith and are most definitely not out to take advantage of people with food allergies. We will continue to review our prices as we always do on an ongoing basis. Many thanks.

Ordered 4 items. Get an email to say unfortunately while processing your order 3 of your items are out of stock. Why let me order then if you don’t have them? It’s so annoying and disappointing. I chose Webbs purely as they had the stock of what I wanted. Really annoying that a business is promoting items in stock when they haven’t got them.

First online order. Will certainly use again.


This was my first online order with Webbs after not quite finding everything I wanted on a visit to the Wychbold store. I was extremely impressed with the fast delivery. The plants are all very healthy, arrived in excellent condition and the delivery driver was really friendly and helpful. Also, I have never seen plants packaged so well and with such care. I shall certainly use their on line ordering again with the confidence to know how much care they take with the process. Really impressed. Thank you!

Hebe Plants

Plants finally received after courier tried to deliver to wrong house after I delayed delivery for a day.
They were well packaged so not damaged and thankfully alive and well. I also thank someone at the centre in contacting the courier as I was unable to.

Resolving a problem efficiently

When an expensive hand tool broke on the second time of using Andy at customer services quickly and efficiently dealt with it. None of the usual hassle arranging a return myself. Within a couple of days the replacement arrived and the broken tool collected.
All of my telephone calls were answered immediately without the dreaded muzak of being kept on hold.
I will make a point of using Webbs again for online purchases and look forward to calling in at the garden centre next time I’m nearby.

Fantastic Customer Service

Such fantastic customer service from Andy in Webbs Direct. Challenges with the delivery of the first parasol were resolved quickly, efficiently & with such warmth. Even when it looked as though the replacement product might be an issue, Andy went the extra mile & worked with Victoria to produce a helpful video so we could put the cantilever parasol together & it works perfectly. Thank you so much

Over and above.

I recently wanted to arrange delivery of a plant as a gift to a friend. I live in the North East but like to shop local if possible. Webbs staff assisted me to identify a flowering plant to meet my needs, taking photographs of stock available in the store and sending them to me to make the final choice .
All the staff I dealt were helpful and understanding of my requirements. The recipient of the gift is also very happy with the outcome.
Well done everyone much appreciated,perhaps I will be able to visit your store when I venture South!

Very poor cafe service, & overpriced food hall

Arrived at cafe in Wychbold today & was shown to table by staff member. After 10 minutes no one had taken our order, but orders were taken from customers who had arrived after us. Enquiries revealed the staff member had forgotten to add our table no. to the list, so they then added us to the bottom of the list! Tired of waiting we left. On the way out I spoke to the errant staff member who just shrugged off her mistake.
Then purchased a bottle of mushroom ketchup from the food hall costing £4.99. A hour later found identical mushroom ketchup in Asda on offer, reduced from £2.10 to £1.60!
Disgusted by the whole “Webbs” experience. Won’t be visiting again.

Excellent Company to deal with

I am a new online customer to Webb's gardening.
I had a minor issue with my order and am very impressed by how quickly and efficiently they dealt with it.
It was a pleasure to deal with them and I would have no hesitation to trust Webb's Gardening with my future gardening needs.

Sow and Grow event

My 5 year old Son and I visited Hagley Garden Centre on 17th February 2024 for their Sow and Grow event. Liv and Summer were enthusiastic, kind and very engaging during the activity. They are both a real credit to Webbs. I hope they get the recognition they deserve.

What a pleasant change to be "looked…

What a pleasant change to be "looked after" whilst in the restaurant. From being seated to taking the order and delivering it. A smooth operation, nothing too much trouble. Hats off to all their staff, especially Lee, who took on a bit of Spanish, and delivered it flawlessly.
