They are a scam

They are a scam. I clicked on the first google link for NZeTA and assumed it was new Zealand's website. Not only did they charge $190 for something that's supposed to be $17-23, they charged me 3 times. They said they are available "24/7" but haven't answered my emails to cancel until after the application went through.

Misleading pricing, unexpected multiple charge, refund not delivered

I used visit-app/newzealand/ to apply for a New Zealand tourist visa (NZeTA) and had a very negative experience.

The main issue is pricing transparency. During the application/payment flow, the total cost was not communicated in a clear and unambiguous way. I proceeded believing I was paying the standard NZeTA-related amount, but my card was charged a much higher amount (multiple times what I expected). I did not knowingly consent to paying that total.

As soon as I noticed the charge, I requested a refund. I contacted support immediately and repeatedly, clearly stating that I wanted a full refund and that I would not pay any extra “fee” (I was told/it was implied there could be an additional USD 35 fee). In my view, charging an additional fee to receive a refund after unclear/misleading pricing is not acceptable.

I also had serious concerns about whether this service would reliably deliver the visa at all. Given the lack of clear communication and the overall experience, I did not feel confident that my application would be properly processed through official channels.

To protect myself, I informed my card provider and blocked my cards as a precaution. Even after this, and despite the website advertising 24/7 service, I did not receive a proper response and the promised refund did not arrive. The lack of any real support or resolution strongly suggests this is not a trustworthy service.

UPDATE: Even though they replied here telling me to contact them again so they can “verify” and refund, nothing has happened. They still don’t respond to my emails.

I’ve now emailed them from two different email addresses (just in case one got flagged as spam or blocked 😄) — still no reply, no refund, no real follow-up.

So I’m still waiting for either (1) the refund to be processed, or (2) a proper response.

UPDATE: Still no refund, and almost no communication.

I did receive ONE email reply from them on 2026-02-02 saying they were “checking the issue” and that due to a technical problem they were unable to process the refund at that time. I replied to that email immediately with the requested details — and since then: nothing. No further response, no timeline, and still no refund.

It has now been close to 2 months since the refund was promised in multiple places. At this point I’m treating it as non-payment and I’m going back to my bank again, because this delay gives me a solid reason to start a formal recovery/collection process.

If you’re reading this (since you reply on Trustpilot): please either refund the money, or provide a clear, concrete update with a real date.

This is a scam

This is a scam. The company attempts to legitimize its misleading website by hiding vague “legal” wording and disclaimers in the footer while charging nearly 10 times the actual government fee. The official application costs $15, yet they charged $190, claiming fees for “services” such as translation—despite the fact that their forms accept English only.

I requested cancellation within minutes of submitting the application, well before any processing could reasonably have occurred. Despite this, they refused to cancel or refund the payment, even though my request complied with their own stated refund policy.

This operation is deceptive at every level:
• Misleading website design
• Inflated and unjustified fees
• Uncooperative and unethical customer service

Always use the official government website directly. Do not use this company under any circumstances.

I have already initiated a transaction dispute and will continue reporting this company so they cannot profit from people’s honest mistakes.

Total scam

This is a total scam. I fell prey to it for NZeTA and lost a lot of money. It is just a skin on top of the government website and charges thrice. It appears to the unsuspecting users as a government website. It has some canned responses in the name of customer support and has zero value add. My eTA was delayed, I lost my ticket value and these guys were of no use.

A EVITER ABSOLUMENT ! ESCROQUERIE !!

J'ai fait une demande de eTA pour la Nouvelle Zelande avec ce site. Très grosse erreur de ma part. Non seulement le prix à payer et payé est de 190 USD alors que sur le site officiel immigration.govt.nz cela coute 123 NZD y compris la taxe visiteur IVCT, mais de plus aussitôt payé je n'ai plus aucune information. RIEN DE RIEN ! J'ai envoyé un mail pour demander de recevoir au moins un accusé de réception et un statut de la demande, mais je n'ai reçu qu'une réponse bidon. Re-répondu pour rectifier, et je n'ai plus eu aucune nouvelle nouvelle. Ce prétendu service est une honteuse escroquerie. Adressez-vous directement au service de l'immigration : immmigration.govt.nz

Clearly a ripoff!

Clearly a ripoff as they charge $180 for a service that you get for $10-20 on the respective government homepage (depending on where you travel to). The visa does not seem to be fake (have not traveled yet but it can be verified kn the government homepage). I blocked my credit card as I feared fraud but don’t think they would have hacked the card. I think they are just after the money. Better use the government homepage!

Fraudulent and upsetting

Fraudulent company as others described. Unfortunately fell for it in a state of panic. N did not receive the Canadian evisa I paid US$120 for. Company offered to refund only US $49.50 which I’m doubtful would even be processed. When I pressed further the “24/7 support line” stop responding. Avoid at all costs. Do not use this company

Do not use this company. They look like official NZeta site, but they are only third party agent. The cost for NZeta was 190 USD!!! Correct cost is 117 NZD!! They refuse to cancel the application, even I contacted 2 minutes after the confirmation email. They answer to my email even there is night in NZ at the moment. They keep saying they cannot cancel the application and I have accepted their terms and conditions. The site did not mention anywhere that they will charge extra cost for about 100 USD, this is illegal and fraud business!

SCAMM!!!! Please do not use this, they pretend to help but charge way more and will not refund you even if you try to cancel 5 mins after. THE WORST

It's all lies

My review is the same as the rest. Confusing web page, say they performed the work but I already had a visa so it would be impossible to get a second. Refused to give a refund. DO NOT USE!!!

The reply simple doesnt make sense, they did nothing a 100% scam.

MISLEADING + OVERPRICED

This was the first result on google, which had the NZ flag, and all the framing and pictures made it seem as if it was an offical NZ website; not a multi-country visa agency that provides additional services. Never once in the process did it explain all of these services or present as a non-government agency.

As someone googling for a visa it is very unclear that they are charging you an additional $130 USD just for this.

I emailed within 2 minutes to ask for a refund since I did not understand this until I talked to my partner who paid $65 for the same thing and they said it had already been processed (even though part of their services was a manual review of all of my items?)
