I recieved a Vanilla Gift Card. I tried to use it to buy movies at Fandango. I was able to buy a few things, but the card cut off with $17 left on it. I called Vanilla Customer Support. They said it was Fandango. I called Fandango & they blamed Vanilla. I called Vanilla back and the rep admitted to me that their new security policy is the reason it was cut off. I was buying movies at a movie store. Anyway, she told me to wait 2 hours and maybe the card will work again. If not, she said I should try another retailer. Basically, she was just done trying to help. Obviously, the first guy that lied to me was done helping anyone too. It takes an epic quest to speak to a person at Vanilla, to finally get one and they tell me to get lost, well that's too much. I'm Done with Vanilla.

I received a vanilla gift card for my birthday as a present. We are now five months after my birthday, and my card has been on hold because they said that there was an investigation they were supposed to have notified me within five days the results of the investigation as I said here we are 4 1/2 months later I had to call again early to find out that they are sending me a check. I’m not home to receive this check so when I get the check, I will have to deposit it and then wait for it to clear my bank. This is ridiculous for a birthday present of an E gift card that anyone should have to go through this if you are not absolutely sure about using them. I would never purchased a vanilla gift card again five months to use. My birthday present is completely unheard of.

Excellent, easy-to-use platform
I tried another gift card company prior to using Vanilla and have found Vanilla MUCH easier to use. With the other company, orders would appear to go through and get cancelled. With Vanilla, it is seamless and fast. Since I am giving gift cards as a thank you for a market research project, I need a platform that sends the cards reliably. Vanilla does that. I will keep using and recommend them to anyone.

Update: Although the situation was frustrating and took 2 phone calls, we did get a refund for this order.
Original review: We ordered a gift card to be sent to our son. Two weeks later, no gift card. Phone calls do not yield anyone who can help. I requested a refund after the 2nd call and was told the agent or his supervisor could not issue a refund and that he needed to “raise the case” and it would be another 2 days before anyone contacted me. I don’t trust them to resolve this. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Don’t use this company.
