Uncle Buck Finance LLP Omdömen 

Currently in the process of claiming refunds from loan companies and have to say these guys handled my claim brilliantly. First company to acknowledge my claim, first to make me a refund offer and actually refunded me within 48 hours of receiving my acceptance form, whereas I'm currently on Day 9 of waiting with Lending Stream and Day 7 with Sunny. Can't fault the way they handled the situation.

They offered me loans if though they could see my financial situation was not good.they contributed to me having to go on a DMP and caused me financial difficulties.I complained to them and I’m waiting to see if they pay me all the interest back + 8% statutory interest,otherwise I will take them to the FOS.

After reading so many negative reviews I just had to share my experience with Uncle Buck.
I have taken my second loan now after being rejected everywhere else!
All I can say is thank you Uncle Buck you really were they when I needed.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Irresponsible lenders, extortionate rates, worst customer service. Call you at 8.00 am on day loan due if the payment not in their robbing hands at one minute past midnight . Rude arrogant bullying people on hope. You have been warned....

I have heard that one of the staff has fallen ill with coronavirus. Looks like that is why they are very short staffed at the moment.
Good old karma has served me very well here for the time Uncle Buck made me ridden with debt.

The loan i had was quick and easy to apply for and was paid out the same day, the staff were really helpful whenever i needed anything as well

Blood sucking vulchers, relentless, morally bankrupt, ignorant to repeated communication explaining situation. No other loan company has behaved in such a gross manner and have exercised some understanding and help. I don’t know how anyone with a conscience can work for a company like this.

Absolute clowns I've had and paid off 3 loans now one early to save interest. I ring up today to get a loan and I'm told I'm being rejected because I get paid weekly utter rubbish. The website brings up a weekly pay back list but the robot on the phone says it's outside our lending criteria. You try and question over the phone and these monkeys don't have an answer they just go through the same script literally like a robot that doesn't understand your question. Well done uncle buck you've lost yourself a customer 👎

I tried to make a payment to Uncle Buck today using an existing Credit Card only to discover that the card's details were recorded incorrectly on their systems. I tried to change this online but their website is blocking that. When I rang to see what the problem was I was told that I couldn't use a Credit Card because it would put me further into debt. The point is that I was using that card as a short term measure only and at the end of the day I am following a plan to repay them ! Their actions deliberately extend the repayment period by preventing any sort of additional payment. They are the only Loan Company who do this. Don't bother with them - the 21st Century has passed them by !

Do not use this company!
Loans has been fast approved without appropriate checks.
When I've made complain about irresponsible lending, they seems to drag the whole process into Ombudsman level.
Very disappointing.

After getting confirmation I was advised to ring them which I did and was speaking to Brandon. He was so professional and understanding and made me feel completely at ease he was very thorough in ensuring affordability which I felt was good practice from them as a company. He is definitely an asset to the company

Shocking company can lend in a few moments but try getting them to pay what the FOS have upheld. Delay delay and delay they know that in the end they will have to pay they need to get on with it. They disagreed with the adjudicator who went back to them to clarify the situation 10th January it is now 6th February 3.5 weeks just sitting there on someone desk knowing full well that they will ask for it to go to the ombudsman this could have been decided within a week of the 10th January that they wanted it to go to the ombudsman. Obviously they have complete contempt for anyone who has their claim upheld. Maybe if they see this they would like to think again and get on with paying what they owe. I guess the same old answers will come back from them we are entitled yes you are but you have never stuck to any dates you have been told to reply by.

Firstly, I get no pleasure at all by leaving a review of this nature. I can confirm that I used Uncle Buck on numerous occasions back in 2012. I’m now approaching 13 months for my unaffordable / irresponsible lending claim to be resolved. It was submitted to Uncle Buck on the 9th January, 2019. My complaint was upheld on the 30th October, 2019 by an adjudicator, but no surprise that Uncle Buck disputed the findings. The complaint was then escalated to the Financial Ombudsman who also upheld it. It’s now been marked as “URGENT”, as due to ill health I’m out of work and facing eviction from my home. But still nothing received from Uncle Buck. You only use these companies when you're desperate and as a last resort, but in hindsight my advice would be to have a good look round first; there are many better companies than Uncle Buck, that provide a professional service and actually care about their customers.

Recently left review re hassle of uploading bank statements for new loan. They replied to review by asking to contact them to resolve. Just repeated what already said. Seems they rely with generic messages to look like they are actually going to do something about it. Poor show from a company I thought were ok

Uncle Buck likes giving loans to unemployed bad credit ccj They dont ask if you can provide wage slips either If you want money apply

Awful company stubborn and thinks it does no wrong, extortionate interest rates cost the earth and cause hardship, left me in a desperate situation financially.
I took uncle buck to to the financial ombudsman adjudicator where they still argue there is no case poor lending practice, where I have proven there is they are stubborn and have a poor service as they believe the customer is always wrong.
The ombudsman found in my favour and they rejected it they have an above the law attitude and disregard for their customers.
I would avoid u uncle buck at all costs

"Quick" is not what I would describe this company as. It's one thing to question affordability, it's another to basically tell your customer that you aren't paying enough towards your credit commitments - this is not something that should be up for discussion. People apply for these "loans" due to unforeseen circumstances 99% of the time - this being one of them. Avoid at all costs if you want to discuss the ins and outs of your financial and personal life - their team couldn't give a monkey and enjoy belittling.

it is what it is an emergency loan facility.

rates are ok so expect to pay around 50% interest on the capital

it is not a cheap option but a safety net just in case

also worth considering if you can afford it to rebuild your credit rating

don't become reliant on such loans as you are not guaranteed to get them but they are an option

regarding the process it is quick and easy and any dealings i have had over the phone have been considerate and courteous.

I'd give 5 stars for the customer service if that was an extra option.

I would just like to say that after uncle back agreed with the FOS about my refund. I have just spoken to Carol Mills in the customer relations department who has told me that my refund should be in my account within 7 days. After reading all the negative reviews I must say that throughout my process i have had nothing but politeness and professionalism. Thank you

Applied to reloan as had a loan 11 months ago and paid back monthly no issues at all. I reapplied online and got a call saying my card has failed a check so can I send them a copy of a statement. (I bank with Monzo) so I screen shot one but it was too old. I then send another one, I then get a call requesting for me to send a picture of my debit card and that’s all they need I send this, then gets a email saying they need to see my wages going in. I sent this, I now need to send them another bank statement again showing my full name and address which I have already sent. It’s a loan of £500 not £500000. As I say my first loan was very easy, the second loan which is still bouncing back and forwards is just a complete pain in the neck. Uncle buck I get you need to be secure but this is taking it to the extreme.
