Try to find a worse company

Try to find a worse company, the schedule is just an empty formality if the bus is late (and today I was completely burned out because they cancelled the bus that runs once an hour (6.1), the next one was late and it was extremely cold at the bus station, and there was no compensation from the company for their inconvenience), in principle, you can rarely expect any solutions to problems from them, service extremely unreliable, drivers can also ignore you despite the fact that you indicate to stop, it's a pity that this company has no alternatives on some routes.

wrong destination on bus

i use the trentbarton rainbow one bus service every day for education and it’s usually a good experience, however today, the bus had the wrong destination written on the side, causing me to get on the wrong bus, meaning i had to get two buses and then wait in the cold for an hour for the third bus. when i asked the bus driver for some help over this issue he was quite rude and tried to tell me i was wrong when i explained my issue.

We were waiting in Ripley for the 9.3…

We were waiting in Ripley for the 9.3 at 2100hrs on the 12th November, the bus turned up with "not in service" indicated.
The driver said that he had a problem with the bus, could not get out of first gear. The driver was very apologetic and stated that another bus was on it's way which indeed did arrive a few minutes later. Both drivers did their best to explain the situation and help the passengers with their onward travel in a very understanding way.

Dangerous buses

I was on the i4 on my way to school it was a spare and as I sat down I pricked my finger on the very uncomfortable seat it was something poking out bus reg (YD63 VBD) I’ve had a few bad run ins with Trent Barton rude drivers to inconvenient times especially on i4 also the mango app is a bit bad the company needs to change it has some really nice buses in the fleet

Villager no service

Does not deserve one star, always around the same time that bus disappears as it’s due in to load. Last time driver just locked up and left, no one explained why, today he unloaded and then drove off. Lots of people stranded as no other bus to Hilton.
I felt sorry for next driver as he had to listen to everyone moaning.
Sort yourselves out villager, you really are dreadful.

New Driver on the Threes

I use the Threes on a regular basis from Kirkby Woodhouse to Nottingham Excellent service always on time, comfortable clean Buses,The last few weeks we have had a new Driver, Small chap with glasses and a slight welsh accent, What a polite helpful man, always a smile and a thank you, a credit to your company

Best Bus Company in the UK

Best buses, new comfortable, erverything you could want, bus services run practically all day, so never have to worry about getting home after a night out. Best bus company in the UK

Anyone thinking of using the villager…

Anyone thinking of using the villager (Derby to Burton) please reconsider. The bus is either Late or does not show up at all. The tracker app lies to you telling you the bus is 10 mins away when in reality it has only just left derby. I dont understand how a huge yellow bus with the word villager written in bold can just vanish into thin air.

I put my hand out for the bus and bus…

I put my hand out for the bus and the bus driver completely ignores me and drives past… absolutely appalling. Not to mention I was getting on the bus a few days ago and the bus driver has a go at me because he is late which is absolutely not my problem. These buses are always late and so unreliable. Absolute waste of time trying to catch this bus if you have places to be…

Date of experience? There is something every day with Trent Barton!

The bus stop was closed due to roadworks which cannot be helped. What can be helped is Trent Bartons communication with their customers! I went to the street that the sign advised me to go to but there was just nothing in place to indicate that I was in the right place. The road was intersected by a busy road and if I was on the wrong side of it, I wouldn't of been able to easily get across the road in time to make the bus. There was nothing online that offered any clarification and the phone lines weren't open at that time of the morning. I was completely stuck. I had already missed my bus by this point and the next one was cancelled, true to Trent Bartons reputation. I ended up walking to the next stop to prevent any further issues to this ordeal but i still had no idea if the bus would turn up or not. I always give myself more time to travel than I need due to Trent Bartons incredibly unreliable service but I still ended up being late on a day that I couldn't afford to be late. I don't know how Trent Barton keeps getting away with the way that they operate and the appalling service they provide.

The Sixes huses

I dont understand why? Buses from trent barton should be flexible as more people travel from Derby towards Belper. You have to stand for ages i mean 30 minutes and more. Can Trent Barton please fix The Sixes buses. It becomes very difficult to go to school and work

Absolutely appalling !!!!

Was sat at the back of the bus with headphones in so couldn’t hear anyone around me. Only a couple of people on the bus at this time. Everyone was told to get off with no explanation. As I had headphones in I didn’t hear this call. Bus driver did not come to check if anyone was still on the bus he just drove on. I was only person on the bus at this time which I didn’t realise till he pulled over to side of the road (not at a bus stop) and told me to get off. Did not know where I was, had no money for a taxi or Uber and only one bus fair credit left on mango app. He proceeded to scream at me and asking me why I didn’t get off. I told him very politely that I had my headphones in so I didn’t hear the call. He was extremely rude to me. I panicked a lot as I am a 16 year old female and didn’t know what to do. I felt very intimidated and scared. This has happened more than once; I have had to get off the bus and transition to another one but each time (except this time) I have been five a free ticket to board the next bus. I have now spent £8 more what I would usually pay to get the bus because of this. The buses have been at least 15-25 minutes late for the last 2-3 weeks which has made me late. I understand sometime the buses are late but it has happened everyday. And there are no roadworks currently underway. I am quite appalled at the service I have received over the past 3-4 weeks by Trent Barton, mango and the nines buses; especially today.

Genuinely the worst bus service ever

Genuinely just the worst bus service I’ve ever used, buses will come two at a time and they will never be at the time they’re supposed to arrive. They are uncomfortable, drivers are not always nice alongside the previously mentioned horrific timing issues.

The Hugo bus app is honestly a joke, I’d have better luck getting the bus time correct by talking to a psychic then checking that app.

I’ve never understood how a bus could be so off time, I ended up waiting almost 50 minutes for the two, a bus which at the time should’ve been running every 10 mins. How can you not send 4 separate buses??

All in all I don’t know how this bus company exists, and the low 1 star rating it gets backs that up.

Went to royal derby hospital from Hilton on vii villager First bus was 20 min late return bus 11:35 out of Derby bus station didn’t turn up at all. The service is dire. In the meantime 4 mickleover buses and 4 x38 burton direct buses came past had empty. The size Hilton is now we deserve a more regular and reliable bus service

The live times don't work so it's a…

The live times don't work so it's a case of turn up, ignore the board as they're wrong more often than not and hope a bus turns up. If you're due somewhere at a certain time leave around 2 hours clearance if you've got it to spare!

Rubbish service as always

Rubbish service as always. Nobody seems to be listening. Timetable tells us one time from. Etwall to Derby. Get there with plenty of time to spare. Electronic timetable tells me 10 mins to go. That’s great. Then 5 then due. Great all good. Then after sure. Sign gone no bus. Next bus another 15 mins away. Obviously a cloaking device on invisible bus. Rubbish. Return journey from Derby back just as bad. At Wardwick no sign of bus. Try for Willington bus v3. A red bus with Mickleover on from no sign for V3 goes past. Great. Another rubbish service. Letter to MP to follow doubt anything will happen. As Always. Journey out 1530 Etwall. Back 1900 on 20.8.24
