Started july 2025 and stoll ongoing. Solicitors added addional fees and at no point confirmed what these were for when queried was told to speak with the quoting company. Addionaly they have lost my person documents which they confirmed they received. I will be raising to complaints and further to the SRA

I had a very good experience with this firm. The service was professional and efficient, and my house sale and purchase was completed on the 7th January planned. Waris was especially helpful and very responsive throughout, always quick to reply to emails and keep me updated. I would happily recommend their services.

Initial conveyancing was ok, despite there being no update throughout the process. I had to chase them multiple times and they refused to assist my purchaser's solicitors with a query when they were off sick. We finally completed on the 12th December, but then on the 23rd December they emailed saying that HMRC was asking for another £1,000 for stamp duty. When I asked for evidence of this, I was told it couldn't be provided and that I had to pay immediately otherwise I would incur late fees. I paid the amount, despite my misgivings on the evening of the 23rd and I then received a snotty voicemail message on Christmas Eve (!) saying that I had until Boxing Day to make the payment despite the fact I already had. I then left a voicemail and sent an email asking for someone to confirm that they had received my payment, but no-one has responded. I am not entirely unconvinced that I have been scammed out of £1,000.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for the invaluable support provided during the completion of my first house purchase. From the very beginning, their guidance and expertise made the process far less daunting and much more manageable. They assisted with every stage, from reviewing documents and explaining each step, to coordinating with us and the estate agents and ensuring that deadlines were met. Their proactive communication and attention to detail gave me confidence and peace of mind throughout the journey.

Without their help, achieving this milestone would have been far more stressful. Their dedication and encouragement ensured that my first home purchase was not only successful, but also a genuinely positive experience.

Not once were we made aware of the reason anything was delayed, not once were we asked or advised regarding any queries. My estate agent kept me up to date with information from the seller themselves and also their solicitor and where they were at with the transaction. Upon collecting my keys after eventually completing, even the 3 people in the office at the time were absolutely horrified at the lack of anything, and Ismails lack of urgency or information.

For reference, my estate agent was CC’d in on every email so he could see I was doing my best to actually get a response, and they and the seller understood it wasn’t my fault.

They forget I have every attempted call made and all the email chains, so whilst they may try and lie on this forum to make themselves look better, this will be taken as far as I need it to be.

I instructed this firm for the purchase of my first property, which was a straightforward cash purchase with no chain. Despite this, the process took four months, and the service throughout was extremely poor.

Communication was inconsistent from the start. I was given multiple different points of contact, none of whom were clear or responsive. Emails regularly went unanswered, and at no stage was I given a clear understanding of what was outstanding or why the transaction had stalled.

The final stages were the most frustrating. Between early and late November, both myself and third parties had to repeatedly chase for documents simply to progress towards exchange. Even though the firm was aware of the date we were aiming for, there was no urgency, and I ended up taking time off work for a completion that didn’t happen due entirely to delays on their side.

Ironically, the only thing handled promptly was the issuing of invoices.

As a first-time buyer, this should have been a straightforward process, but it was made unnecessarily stressful and drawn out. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

I had a very complex transaction to complete, and Ismail and Hamid from TLP Solicitors demonstrated professionalism, promptness, and excellent communication throughout. They acted on my behalf to ensure all documents were organised and secured in time for the completion date. This was my second time using TLP, and I will definitely return for any future business.
