New owners got me sorted
I placed an order the day before the new owners took over while it was in Administration, while i had all the difficulties in the world with trying to get my order out of the Administrators the new owners stepped in to help out and got me sorted even though they ultimately didn't get paid for the order i placed.

Under new management, very helpful and answered all my questions even though they were busy. As a small business myself I know how much a bad review can affect your reputation. I am glad I gave them a chance and look forward to dealing with them again in the future.
Yes a dishonest company
Yes a dishonest company. In January 2024 I ordered an item but received an incorrect item and returned it in person to the supplier on 7 February with the Return Form supplied by The Telecom Shop. When arranging the return there was no mention of the company not honouring returns. No credit was received and when I enquired on 16 February I received no response. Following up on 28 February as to why it was taking so long they sent me an email saying they were in receivership as from 21 February and referred me to the Administrators. No response....

This company is in Administration. No details on their website or when you place a order that they are in administration. They are frequently misrepresenting that items are in stock, and refuse to provide refunds, referring the debt to their administrators.

This company is in Administration. Have reported to the ACCC that they continue to take orders whilst fraudently misrepresenting that items are in stock, and refuse to provide refunds, referring the debt to their administrators. Hopefully ACCC can put a stop to these scammers.

BUSINESS IS UNDER ADMINISTRATION - SHOULD NOT BE TRADING
We have used the Telecom Shop many times in the past, and they were pretty good, however, as of December they were placed into administration, and are not open or let you know.
We placed an order at the beginning of December, and they used delaying tactics until January before sending us the Administrator's advice that no orders placed before 15 December would be honoured.
We had to file a claim under PayPal in order to get a refund, and they only shipped us the goods once the PayPal claim threatened to refund our money. We waited almost 2 months to get our goods.
In our opinion they are being very disingenuous and (Alarmingly) they are still trading with their web site taking orders and payments with no guarantee of delivery.

Company has gone into receivership, but still taking phone calls and order. but you have no hope of getting your product or order. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BURN YOUR MONEY AND NEVER SEE IT AGAIN. WEBSITE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN.
DISHONEST COMPANY THAT SHOULDNT BE TRADING
These guys shouldn't be in business. They are trading under Administration and advertise items as in stock when they are not. No product no response to the repeated refund attemps. Very dodgy.
Avoid this company, and buy elsewhere.
DISHONEST COMPANY
Ordered and paid (as requested) for goods on 12th December 2023 and was told they would be sent out immediately. Spoke to staff on 2nd & 3rd January and they said they were checking on the order. Later in the day on 3rd January, I received an email saying they were in voluntary receivership. I spoke to staff again this morning and they admitted they knew when I placed my order on 12th December they were going into receivership. Very dishonest company.

Incredibly dishonest and I wish I’d read the bad reviews prior to ordering. Somehow they have a 4.5 star google rating. DISGRACEFUL.

Ordered something on line said was available, after no contact for 3 days, reached out to them said the brought became unavailable and no delivery date possible and would give a refund. Still waiting!! Lots better than these guys around would avoid using them.
Absolutely deplorable service
Absolutely deplorable service. Ordered a $350 record player for Christmas, money was accepted and invoice issued, after a week of no responses I have discovered they accepted the order with no product, now the chase to cancel the order is becoming another problem. Consumer affairs should be talking to this company.

There is no indication that they are "sold out" or "preorder" when buying. Refund practice is well below online industry expectations which is usually hours or days-still waiting for my refund at the time of writing

Placed an order 2 weeks ago. No response from them regarding dispatch. Email to support went unanswered. Finally called them and the product is out of stock with no ETA despite their website indicating it's in stock. Requested alternate item and stressed urgency - customer service didn't bother telling the warehouse and item will now arrive too late.
Do not deal with these turkeys
I also ordered and paid for an item that stated on their NZ website was available and in stock. I followed up 3 weeks later to check ETA and was told they didn't have this in stock and had no idea of ETA. I emailed to advise I would not have ordered if they had advertised as not being in stock as item was required ASAP - requested order cancellation and refund and was told this would be actioned.
Requested update 1 week later with no response, followed up again 10 days later, was advised no ETA and offered refund then received email indicating refund request sent to accounts.
Followed up agai after 6 weeks and advised they had stopped trading in NZ and were coordinating refunds with liquidator who would be in contact (no liquidator appears to be involved and business although looking like NZ based must have been Australian subsidiary).
Emailed them to request they just send the unit which is available on their Australian site or provide refund. Chased again after no response, they emailed me to confirm item not in stock (still advertising as if everything is available which is obviously is not). They offered an alternative which I accepted and asked them to dispatch and arrange refund of any difference.
Have been chasing for another 10 days since with no response and unlikely to get either a refund or actual item.
Main issues:
Items listed as in stock and available are obviously not
Had given impression of NZ based company which was misleading and website now redirectts to Australia.
Don't think they ever had intention of filling order and now making excuses to refund (liquidators, with accounts etc) and unlikely to get any resolution.
Do not deal with these turkeys on either side of the Tasman - you have been warned!
