Excellent company, tried getting insurance for my brand new car- a lot of companies wouldn't insure because the plate wasn't registered yet, but AA gave a uk based phone number to call, and the advisor was lovely, no fuss, no problems, all sorted within minutes (and at a very competitive price).

Competitive pricing and realy easy to cpmplete the application.l havent used AA before for car insurance ,so will see how everything goes in the future before making any more comments.

Completely incompetent travel insurance company. You have to wait a very long time to speak to an agent, and during the process they sometimes hang up on you. They send us to a specific hospital, only for the hospital to refuse to treat us because they are missing a document. We call the insurance company again and, after another very long wait to speak to an agent, we are told that they need the medical report first. This is a vicious circle with no solution in sight.

There are much more competent travel insurance companies out there. Do not buy this insurance.

Call centre was very helpful and quickly sorted out the car insurance I required.

Loved, loved, loved that I could call and chat with a real human who listened and advised that inconsistency on some answers we had provided to comparison sites was affecting quotes given. The AA agent tailored a new policy to our needs …..

To be honest my experience with AA is very good.

Don’t claim your car insurance with these cowboys there is no loyalty from them. Someone sprayed paint on my car,entirely someone else’s fault. I claimed my insurance to have it sorted and paid a £200 excess to the garage for the repair. I had a renewal quote from the AA for £46pm,after the insurance claim I received a new renewal quote of £106! So all in all,if I was to go with this new quote it would be an extra £720 per year plus the £200 excess which is an extra £920! Why bother even having insurance when they shaft you anyway. I have been quoted £65pm from another company and will be changing insurers at the end of the month. Goodbye AA

Forms were easy to complete and the website is easy to follow.
The price was very reasonable.

I received email quoting £520 for the year. When I went online I got a higher level of cover for £370. I don’t appreciate being treated as a fool.

I’ve had a corporate response from AA saying that it’s dependent on many factors. Given that I used the same data, I struggle to understand the £150 difference in price. Especially since the lower quote I went with was from … wait for it … the AA!

Couldn't complete application via ComparetheMarket. com/which? due to new car registration. However call handler sorted and so glad it was a UK based call centre so no need to spell basic info like name!

Booking house and contents insurance with AA was straightforward at first until we came to the payment when we could not find any numbers, and there was no response when we tried to get confirmation on the phone. In retrospect, the system at this stage was very slow so we presumed that it was not working and started all over again. It finally did work so we were left with 6 sets of numbers to use retrospectively. Therefore our complaint was the slowness towards the end of arranging our insurance cover. This delay led to us spending more than one hour on trying to arrange cover with AA.
