I reached out to Techloy because I wanted to publish my article on techloy.com. The admin shared a price list that did not mention anything about promotional content. However, after I shared my article, the admin suddenly claimed that it was “promotional” and said it could only be published under their $500 Platinum plan.
The website has around 32.4k traffic, yet they are demanding $500, which is completely unreasonable. What makes this worse is the lack of transparency and the pricing terms changed after the article was submitted.
Be cautious when dealing with admins like this. I’ve published content on much bigger platforms for the same budget, and this kind of misleading practice is unprofessional and unacceptable.

We'd like to clarify a few points to ensure there is no misunderstanding. As outlined in the media kit shared prior to submission of your article, the packages you referenced apply to non- promotional editorial content. Content that promotes a specific product, service or brand offering is categorized separately and falls under a different plan.
After reviewing the article submitted, it was classified as promotional based on our existing content guidelines, which are applied consistently across all clients. As a result, an alternative plan was suggested. At no point were our pricing terms changed after submission rather, the recommendation was based on the content type in line with our published guidelines.
We sincerely regret any frustration this experience may have caused. Our goal is always to operate with transparency and fairness. We remain open to exploring alternative options with you, whether that involves revising the article to align with editorial guidelines or discussing a plan better suited to your publishing objectives.
