It's costs nothing to be kind and polite, or to be none pushie for want of a better word. The people I have delth with showed all of these trats in abundance. With out doubt a 5 star setup.

I have opted for Taxback to complete my tax return in Australia in 2023.
They were quick with the documents, but it took a while to get back to me.
I was told that I would not get a tax refund and that they would kindly waive the AUD 80 fee...

At the time, I informed them that I would only be staying in Australia for a year, but these plans changed. I received an email informing me that they would now apply for my superannuation for me as well, along with documents for me to sign. I immediately replied that this should please be stopped as I was not leaving Australia yet and signed nothing. I expected they would at least ask first if anything changed. No reply. After weeks, a second email. This time they told me that they successfully applied for my superannuation refund. Same game. I contacted customer service (which was the only way to contact them) to stop this as I was getting no replies to my emails.

Reluctantly, I got the reply that I had signed the power of attorney and they didn't need to wait for my approval. (?!)
I understand the principle, but from a moral and human point of view, this is strange to me and I am not used to this kind of treatment. It felt super shady to me.
I then had my data deleted and after hearing about several similar cases, I would not recommend taxback. By letting people wait, acting without consent and lack of communication, they don't seem to treat all their customers seriously.

I usually don't write reviews but this experience was so 'memorable' that I wanted to share it.
(I held a working holiday visa and many other working holiday people seemed to have a similar problem with them).

Alexandra Laza did a fantastic job in being quick, concise and effective amd it was a pleasure. Will certainly use this service again.

The team at TaxBack were a pleasure to work with and always highly professional. They answered all my questions in a timely manner and were very helpful in guiding me through the process to get me set up as a new customer. I would recommend them to anyone looking to use a tax collector agency!

simple and realiant

Always use taxback quick and easy never have a problem recommend to anyone. We have used them for at least the last four years and will keep using them.

I am in the middle of trying to deal with tax back and I’m finding it so difficult between multiple agents emails coming in and docs been given and being requested again and again after being sent! I’m so deflated at this point it’s been over 6 weeks since i was told I was given a refund to then be told no I needed to pay 78€ first for another form to be filled in but what does the fee that is taken cover if not for the process! I’m lost with the lack of details and the lack of basic customer support I tried to call the office and no calls back I’m just worried as the forms aren’t showing outstanding on the app at all!

Highly recommend using these guys, they took the hassle out of claiming back!

Honestly the shadiest company from the get go. Charged way above other companies fees to file taxes. I tried to inquire about expat taxes for another country, was asked the same questions over and over then had to keep on reminding my agent to actually do them or give updates. Turns out the fee for that one was even more outrageous. They never provided me documents and deleted all information from my account so it is now inaccessible. I'm filing my own taxes this year to avoid the headache and I now discovered they filed them under the incorrect address and nobody is able to give me access to the documents, only submit requests for copies. They assign you an agent half way around the world, so there's really no way to get in contact with them as the phone numbers are different and the hours don't align. Don't bother trying to phone in to your country's office - the numbers are literally all out of service. This place is honestly one of the most sketchy, unhelpful, and stress-inducing companies I have ever had the displeasure of working with. Every time I think of it, I get a pit in my stomach and an uneasy *SCAM ALERT* feeling. My friends and family literally remember how insane the process of doing my taxes with this place was last year and asked if I found something better this year. If you are considering this website - RUN THE OTHER WAY!! Google will give you 100s of more reputable companies that will give you access to free filing options and won't hide your information from you and screw up your sanding with your revenue agency.
