Been able to use the card every where…
Been able to use the card every where and that they are bases in Ireland. They are easy to contact. With app you can always check the amount on the card without a phone call.

Not suitable for travelling
We kept these cards to use on holiday's but the additional 5% we didn't find out about until we saw the conversion rate in euros.
Great for using at home though

To clarify, there are no fees for using the Swirl gift card within the Eurozone. However, when the card is used outside of the Eurozone, the transaction value needs to be converted to euros, which can result in a currency conversion charge.

poor experinece the whole way through
poor experinece the whole way through. firstly got a card that didnt work and had to orgnaise a new one. couldnt get the app to work properly- not an easy experience. and finally found it very hard to find shops willing to let me use the swirl card. so struggled to use it anywhere that I wanted to shop. not a good customer experience at all. a gift from my employer which was no good to me and more hassle trying to find places to actual spend it in. currently would not recommend it to anyone
