Really great removals service. Managed to fit us in very last minute when it was extremely busy in August. Nothing was too much or a problem even the parking on our terraced street with two vans. Caliub , Stewart & Mark managed it all professionally and efficiently throughout. Throughly recommend.

From failing to complete the quoted and paid for full packing service on Day 1 and not even packing some drawers at all to damaging my dishwasher, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table as well as china and crockery, the whole experience of Swift for my house move was a complete nightmare!
When complaining, providing photographic evidence and to-ing and fro-ing, I've basically been told that I'm a liar as they say there is no proof that the damage was caused by the move. I'm further expected to arrange for the items to be assessed by someone for repair and get them to prepare a written report and only then will they will reassess things despite me suggesting they send someone to sort it out. Obviously my request for a 50% refund has been refused.
The stress and upset caused is off the scale on top of the financial loss of me having to get repairs and replacements sorted ... not what I need having just moved.
Oh, and one of the crew smelled of cannabis on reaching my new home ... apparently this doesn't mean they were actually smoking it!

Our household goods are veterans of six house moves. We have never had any damage before. During this house move almost every piece of furniture sustained scratches, scrapes or even gouges. The picture frames also sustained scratches. A dressing table mirror somehow became detached from its frame and was chipped at the corner. We have just discovered that one of the spare leaves of our dining table has lost a sliver of wood along one top edge which means that it can never now be used without a tablecloth.

The kitchen equipment and the china and glass were properly packed and sustained no damage. The books were not very carefully packed and we were not amused to find tablecloths had been used to pad them and various ornaments, which resulted in a lot of heavily creased linen.

A lot of ironing was necessary after unpacking. We had assumed clothing would be transported as they were in wire drawers, but they were all emptied and mixed up in boxes.

The weather was extremely hot and we understand that the staff were under considerable pressure but we do feel that particularly the young members of the removal crew should be reminded that they are dealing with clients' cherished possession. It was disturbing to see completely unprotected pictures in their frames standing on their end on the gritty driveway for some time waiting to go into the containers, as were some of the dining chairs and other pieces of furniture. There was a fair bit of passing traffic which threw up clouds of dust. One of the young lads used the chairs on the drive to sit down on for a rest at various times (his clothes were very grubby and the covers on the chairs are light coloured). The smaller pictures were wrapped but the larger ones arrived completely unprotected.

All in all, the stressful experience of moving house was made worse by the annoyance of discovering, as we unpacked and moved furniture into position, that there were so many instances of damage. Much of it will be disguised but we know it is there. We chose Swifts on the basis of good reviews but it leaves us feeling unable to recommend them as a good firm for a removal. Perhaps a bit more training of young staff would be a good idea.

We recently moved house and were extremely impressed with the removal team Mark, Dom, Ethan and Stewart. From start to finish, they were professional, friendly, and hardworking.

The team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was moved safely from our old home to our new one. Nothing was too much trouble, and they remained positive and courteous throughout the entire process.

We would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable and professional removal services.

The whole process was handled professionally , the crew who both packed and unpacked at our new home were cheerful, courteous and professional in all their dealings with us.
They arrived on time and we were kept updated throughout the removals.
The cleaning staff who came to do a final clean of our house also did a brilliant job.

Swift removals moved us into storage nearly 2 years ago and I have to say the experience was not great, however moving us out of storage into our new house in Devon was fantastic. David, Liam,Harry and Simon were a delight to have around for 5 days and the worked really hard and professionally. These guys easily made up for our indifferent first experience.

Rude and ignorant- blocked our driveaway all day, we were patient until I needed to get out in the evening and decided to tell me to "chill". Also happily blocked all access to the road with both their vans too. Don't use unless you want to upset your new neighbours

Yesterday, Richard, Tyrone and Niche moved me and all my belongings. From start to finish, they were completely professional and nothing was too much trouble. They worked tireless over 2 days, and I had no qualms about leaving them alone.
I would recommend them, and Swift Removals, to anyone.

After a long drive to get to us, Andy and Luke arrived cheerful and ready to get going. They worked very hard and did a fantastic job. They were very good with my 90 year old mother who enjoys a bit of banter. We would be happy to have them back to unload when we're ready to do that.

Harry & Kieron did a wonderful job when they took a flat-full of furniture and boxes to storage for me.
Time wise was great. They were polite, friendly, calm, very careful and respectful with my things.

We initially were contacted by Ashley at Swift to assess our potential move and our possessions and his attitude was both helpful and informative and the price quoted for our 2 day move to Lincolnshire was very competitive. We put forward a provisional date for the move on a Thursday but unfortunately a buyer within our purchasing chain altered the date by a week and a day and delayed the contract exchange date. Frustratingly Jeremy in the office was not so helpful saying could not be done but after ringing Ashley the move was arranged as collect on a Thursday and dropping to new house on Monday ( we arranged accomodation near our new home for a few days ) . Nick as leader and Sanchez were superb and courteous in the loading and on the Monday in Lincolnshire new home Nick and Tyrone once again went above and beyond , working hard and putting furniture wherever we wanted it including taking garden ornaments and furniture through a tight gate into the garden . In conclusion a good end to a stressful move .

Our team were Lewis and Richard, who were fantastic, so efficient and hard working. They were extremely kind and thoughtful toward my mum who was finding the move difficult after over 60 years in her house. Nothing was too much trouble for them and their cheerfulness made a difficult day much easier. It was pouring with rain and every effort was made to keep the floors as clean as possible both moving out and moving in. I would definitely recommend Swift Removals, very glad we used them.

Moving house is always a stressful experience but the team at Swifts made it as easy as possible. The packing and loading was done with efficiency and good humour by Dave, Liam, Curtis and Simon. The van was extremely full at the end and they had to have several repacks to get everything in, it they managed it. Due to problems with our chain, the unload had to be delayed until Monday 27th. In fact, because of staff sickness, only Dave and Liam were on the van. This meant they had to work extra hard and also the removal unload did not complete until lunchtime the following day. Again, they worked incredibly hard and their expertise in fitting large pieces of furniture through narrow passageways and up steep stairs was impressive. Well done guys. An excellent job all round. I would not hestitate to recommend Swifts Removals very highly. They were professional, good humoured, hard working and skillful in everything. Thank you Swifts.
