Wish I'd got a stairlift earlier!
From ordering to fitting was very quick and efficient. I didnt think we could have a stairlift because of the position of our staircase and the fact that we have doors at the top and bottom that would be blocked by the rail. It turned out that this was not a problem at all. There are so many different designs and ways of dealing with problem stairs. The relief I now feel when going up and down the stairs is enormous. After years of finding climbing and descending the stairs so difficult (and getting more difficult every day) there is no more struggling to go up and down and no more fear of falling. Wish I'd had a stairlift fitted years ago. All staff were 100% helpful, taking time to explain all options available without me feeling pressured or rushed to make a decision. All round excellent service.

HISTORY OF EQUIPMENT INSPIRES NO CONFIDENCE. WITHIN 18 MONTHS OF THE WARRANTY TWO YEAR PERIOD ALL MAJOR PARTS HAD TO BE REPLACED AND SUPPLIER HAD THE ORDASITY TOREQUEST RENEWALL OF THE WARRANTY AT COST UNTILL I COMPLAINED SEVERAL TIMES

Thank you for your feedback. We’re very sorry for the frustration caused by the issues you experienced with your stairlift.
We recognise that within the first 18 months there were several faults requiring major components to be replaced, and we understand why this understandably impacted your confidence in the equipment. For this reason, your concerns were escalated to Director level and reviewed carefully.
As a resolution to your complaint, which was received in December 2025 and resolved in January 2026, we provided a two year extended warranty at no cost, ensuring you were not financially affected by the earlier reliability issues.
We are pleased to confirm that there have been no callouts since August 2025, and a full service was completed on 23 March 2026.
We genuinely regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
We hope that our actions have gone someway to repair your confidence in Stannah. Your feedback has been taken seriously and has been used internally to help improve how we handle early life equipment issues and customer communication.

Great is the wrong adjective but relief when your call is handled swiftly, repairs are carried out with little fuss, the engineer is both polite, efficient and knows his stuff.
In this respect Stannah as a company can be relied upon and one of the few companies that are in my view praiseworthy.

Two service engineers called to my…
Two service engineers called to my mother’s house recently.
They were polite and professional.
They worked diligently and were happy to answer any questions.
The whole process was completed within 40 minutes.

Disorganised Admin Team
I requested a Stannah stair lift to be removed from one property and fitted to another. I was asked to pay the fee in advance which I did. A mutual date was set to do a survey on the new property. The engineer came and did the survey and arrange a fitting date. I then contacted Stannah to confirm all was ok and which point they said the first engineer was on holiday and they had to do the survey again. On the day of fitting the engineer went to the new property then realised he was at the wrong property. The actual fitting teams were very good however the actual admin team were slightly disorganised and did not call back when they promised to. I feel once they had the monies it became of low importance. Shame really as the actual stair lift is great and so are the engineers.

Convenient appointments
I was phoned to tell me my annual service was due. I was able to arrange for that service to be done the same day, as that was convenient for me.
The engineer was friendly and efficient. I have had my Stannah lift for five years, and have had no problems.
