Niggles with service.
A stairlift is of little use if it is not working. Mine never failed to do the job of getting me up or down our stair case. But It did develop a fault in the foot-rest raising and lowering mechanism, initially failing regularly to act on button press without a nudge from my foot, this deteriorating to every time I wanted it to act. As the call-out charges are high I put up with this irritation for several months until it was due a service. The fix involved replacing the clutch, since when it has worked properly for the first time in a long while.

Efficient service throughout ordering and fitting.
The fitters were efficient and helpful and installed the stairlift carefully and securely. They demonstrated how to use the stairlift and the remote control and answered all our questions.
The only downside was the failure of the carpenter (different company) He to arrive on the day to fit a balustrade as part of the contract. He came the following week and did a very good job.
We are happy with the final product.

We had a standard yearly service by a pleasant and experienced engineer.
We had an occasional sound when standing on the footboard and that was rectified by cleaning the system.

The engineer was incredibly helpful
The engineer was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. Fixed all the loose bits and gave it a general service and it's working beautifully. He was prompt and polite and everything was smooth and satisfying.

The Stannah stair lift installed at our 97 year old mother's home has made a huge, positive contribution to her continued happiness and well-being. Without it, she cold not have stayed in her own home - and we, her family, desperately want her to be able to stay in he own home as long as life lasts. Rep was helpful, informative and discussed options regarding servicing, reconditioned stairlifts etc without being at all pushy
We are pleased with the stairlift and have opted for adding additional years to the warranty to ensure we do not have to worry about affording services or the cost of any repairs in the future. Stannah’s excellent warranty package sealed the deal.
We were told we could still choose the colour of the seat cover on a reconditioned lift but when it came it wasn’t what we had chosen.
