Hi Paul, Thank you for your recent purchase and for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We appreciate the positive comments and 5-star review. We hope to deal with you again soon. Best regards 😊
Excellent quality product
Excellent quality product, very friendly staff, provided very good advice / guidance, and sorted us out us having turned up on the day with trailer having travelled near 100 miles, having not felt comfortable pre-ordering on www, needing "touch'ee feel" not spending a fortune but around £2k. An absolute delight to deal with, we were sorted quickly "having rocked up" so to speak,
In the short time we were there we saw fully what a truly and very professional set up Southgate Timber is in its considerable operations supporting / supplying people over the country.
Thanks, we will preorder next time, and there will be lots of next times. Mike D

A very good experience
A very good experience. Before placing the order, I was not sure if courier or lorry delivery would be best, but the software works out which is best and offers you the best option. After placing the order, I phoned and arranged the courier delivery for a convenient day.
My small order was delivered in three wrapped packages to my front door, from where I could take it through to the back garden, where I was going to use it to construct a raised garden bed.

Hi Derek, thank you for your recent purchase and for taking the time to give us your feedback. We appreciate the positive comments and 5-Star review. We try to accommodate customer delivery requests as best as possible, our own lorries are all booked in with customers the day before and the guide delivery time given. Couriers have an automatic email to advise despatch, typically next day delivery, but are instructed to leave parcels somewhere safe should you not be home. We hope you enjoy your timber and look forward to dealing with you again in future. Best regards :-)
Great product and service.

Hi David, thank you for your recent purchase and for taking the time to give us your feedback. Unfortunately, you left a Voicemail at the weekend when we were closed and we failed to call you back on Monday to discuss your concerns about the delivery. Our sincere apologies for this human error, we will look to ensure this doesn't happen again. We have since this review reached out, you have emailed some images from the 339 metres of timber supplied, there are 3 or 4 knots and 2 areas about 4" in length with dent damage in the Western Red Cedar supplied. There is no reason to think the timber is not as described online, this Cedar is supplied unseasoned, so can be wet in occasional pieces which will dry rapidly onsite when separated from other boards, this will have no negative impact on the timber and its suitability. As mentioned in our emails had you followed up and sent images before using all the material we would have swapped any faulty lengths. We tried to call today with a personal apology and left you a voicemail. Thanks again for pointing out our error in not returning your call we have discussed at length and are improving based on your feedback. Best regards :-)
