We employed Solved Marketing to professionally manage our Google Ads account and unfortunately our experience has been extremely disappointing.

We spent thousands of pounds on advertising and management while they were responsible for the account, and since taking a much closer look at how everything was set up, I have discovered numerous problems that I have either had to fix myself or pay other professionals to correct.

One of the biggest concerns was conversion tracking. We have since had to employ a professional to properly configure and verify our tracking because it had not been set up correctly. When you are spending significant amounts of money on Google Ads, accurate conversion tracking is absolutely fundamental. Without it, how can you properly determine which campaigns are generating genuine enquiries and sales and which are simply wasting money?

I have also subsequently discovered that the contact telephone number being used within Google Ads was incorrect. This is particularly concerning because potential customers could have been presented with incorrect contact information, potentially resulting in lost enquiries and creating a misleading representation of our business.

These are not the only issues we have found. I have personally managed to identify and correct problems that, in my opinion, should have been picked up by the company we were paying to professionally manage the account.

Another major disappointment was discovering the extent to which work appeared to be subcontracted. We engaged Solved Marketing believing we were paying for their expertise and management, but our experience left us seriously questioning the level of direct oversight our account was actually receiving.

The most frustrating part is the financial impact. Between management fees, advertising spend, incorrectly configured tracking and the potential loss of enquiries and revenue, this experience has cost our business a considerable amount of money.

When a company is entrusted with managing thousands of pounds of a client's advertising budget, I believe there is a responsibility to ensure the fundamentals are correct — particularly conversion tracking, contact information and campaign configuration.

Since moving away from Solved Marketing, we have continued uncovering and correcting issues within the account. Based on our experience, I simply could not recommend their Google Ads management service.

We paid for professional management and expected professional standards. Unfortunately, that was not the service we received.

The company I work for used this Marketing company for a few months to get a new company off the ground. there were problems for the outset, which months later hadn't been resolved, even with additional recommended costs. Eventually my manager took control & sorted the problem in a few weeks, solved marketing hadn't sorted it in 7 months. A lot of money spent with this company which all seem to have been a waste.

This review reflects our genuine experience as a paying client of Solved Marketing.

We hired Solved to manage the Google Ads for both Halcyon Timber and our new business, Halcyon Fireplaces. We chose them because they presented themselves as Google Ads and e-commerce specialists, and we were happy to pay premium management fees expecting expert support.

To be fair, our Timber campaigns performed well, and I have no issue acknowledging that. Unfortunately, our experience with Halcyon Fireplaces was completely different.

Solved created and managed both our Google Ads account and our Google Merchant Centre. However, our Merchant Centre was never approved, meaning our Shopping Ads never launched properly from day one. This remained unresolved for approximately seven months.

During that time we were repeatedly told the issue was our website, policy pages or other factors outside of the advertising accounts. Acting on that advice, we invested further money into website improvements and purchased a CRO audit recommended by Solved. Despite implementing the recommendations, nothing changed and the Merchant Centre remained suspended.

We also spent approximately £5,000 on Google Search Ads while continuing to pay monthly management fees. Despite that investment, the Fireplaces campaigns failed to produce any results, and we eventually felt we could no longer justify the continued losses.

We were also advised to increase our Google Ads spend to qualify for a £1,200 promotional credit. We met the required spending threshold, but the credit was never applied to our account despite us raising the issue.

After deciding to end the relationship, I took control of the accounts myself. Within around two weeks, I successfully had both our Google Ads account and Google Merchant Centre reinstated. An issue that had remained unresolved throughout around seven months of paid management was resolved shortly after I took over the accounts.

When we explained that we could no longer justify continuing, our understanding was that we remained tied into the fixed-term contract. Since then, the focus has been on recovering further contractual fees, despite the significant management fees, advertising spend and additional website costs we had already incurred.

This review is not written because marketing is difficult, we fully understand that no agency can guarantee sales. It is written because, in our experience, serious technical issues remained unresolved for many months, additional expenditure was recommended, and we ultimately resolved the biggest problem ourselves after taking back control.

Based on our experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering Solved Marketing to read the contract carefully, understand the financial commitment involved, and ask exactly how technical issues with Google Ads or Google Merchant Centre will be handled.

We went through a competitive tender process and met with several agencies to find a partner that could support Wenzel’s both strategically and across key marketing channels, including Meta, Google, CRM, and SEO.

From the outset, the Solved team stood out. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and strategic thinking have been invaluable, bringing fresh ideas and genuine insight that have made a real difference to our business. Every project has been delivered on time, with professionalism, attention to detail, and a high standard of execution.
