DO NOT BUY FROM SOLANA GEAR

After dealing with this for nearly four months, it just keeps getting worse. I’ve attached the response they gave, that sounded so positive, as if they were finally going to take care of me. They say one thing in public but when I called it was the same dead end as before. Even though they admit it was their error, and they sent the wrong batteries, they don’t agree that they should take a return. It would be so easy for them to accommodate a customer. No chance to ever talk to anybody in management. They should be more proactive and call me and fix this.

Here’s what they wrote…

On 2/27/26 I purchase 2 heated vest

On 2/27/26 I purchase 2 heated vest. upon getting them the cord was not working. I called them back up and requested a return on both. I was give the address to send back. Oh, the expense of returning them was on me. I was never told to contact them back and give the tracking number. Once in seen it was received I let it be. I dont even know where I left it.
So its been weeks now and no refund. So I called them today. I was told I have to provide the track # otherwise no refund. because if you dont call them with it of which I never was told you just wont be refunded. so they will take away over $160.00 dollars from me. I ask the representative what can be done. he just continued to say I need to tracking # I send out. He said there's no way they can re-fund unless I have that tracking #. They are not notified or when they get the return. Nor do they added it to the account of purchase. Just horrible they have a very poor system of tracking returns . So bottom line if your returning dont forget to save and call them back up with tracking # what a poor system it's just a way they keep your money. I will never shop there again! they are stealing from folks horribly!!! do not shop with them the quality was poor for that reason I returned it!!!

Although I waited forever for my refund…

Although I waited forever for my refund one call to Jermaine and he resolved my issue and processed my refund while we were on the phone! This was after waiting more than two months (which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars). He was terrific, looking up information i didn’t have with me which was a big help and he was very pleasant all the while he was helping me. He gets 5 stars ⭐️!

Unisex product. Ask for actual measurements.

I purchased a medium heated vest. It arrived quickly and on-time for my immediate need but didn’t fit. Customer service gave me options: Return at my cost, accept a discount to keep the product or exchange for a smaller size. Jermaine sent me the actual sizing chart (chest, shoulders, length) which revealed very odd actual measurements relative to the general size description. The chest in the extra small is 39” which is generally classified as a men’s medium.

The battery is too bulky for my purpose.

Only lasted 8 weeks

First, they sent the wrong size. I finally received the correct size, no shipping fee. The vest only lasted 8 weeks. The battery works but the vest won't turn on anymore. I took very good care of it. Customer service told me that they cannot replace it because it was past the 30 day warranty. So, they made a product to last only 30 days. That's terrible.

Broke after 4 months of limited use.

Love it while it worked. Stopped powering on after 4 months of limited use (twice/week indoors) and the company said, "we'll give you a 30% discount to buy another". Get the one from Costco instead!

Absolutely the worst customer service I…

Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced. I received the heated vest as a gift literally used it 2 times when it stopped working during the second time. Battery was fully charged and would not power. The vest was never abused and never washed. After contacting customer service was told to send a video with the invoice and they would review it. Finally after a month I contacted them back and was told it was out of the return status by a couple of months. The product failed and would only be used in cold weather so it is a built in scam. I highly do not recommend this company nor products as I am sure there are more reputable companies out there. R

If you have to return a product, even when they erred, you are stuck with the mailing cost.

I wish I had gone to Trust Pilot first for reviews on this company before I ordered. My philosphy about ordering from companies online is, the company/product are only as good as its worst review. In this case, I am giving the company and product the worst review I can.

I needed new winter gloves that would stand up to the Vermont winter cold. I found where this company was selling "thermal" gloves and put through an order. When I received the gloves, I couldn't believe how insubstantial they were. Also, I ordered XL gloves as I have a large hand. Not only were they insubstantial, they definitely were not XL gloves. They only came up to the heel of my hand. I contacted the company right away and also attached a picture showing that they were not XL-sized. I got the usual boilerplate apologies.

They offered me a 30% refund as long as I kept the gloves. When I said no, I want a full refund, they offered a 50% refund. As the gloves were absolutely no use to me, I requested the full refund.

I eventually received the refund but, of course, I was out the cost of shipping, even though they sent me the wrong size. If they won't make you whole, even though they made the mistake, they aren't worthy of any further business.

Solana vest suck

I bought three vest from them for Christmas. All three vest the zippers failed. I contacted the company and they told me there was nothing they could do because it was outside the 30 days . Well I bought these for Christmas gifts. I told him that I bought them for Christmas gifts. I didn’t think there was a problem getting a refund or a replacement I didn’t realize you only had 30 days. I explained to them the only reason I bought their vest was cause it was the only ones left at Christmas time. All the QUALITY heated vest were already sold out. So I turned around and bought vest to replace these from another company they offer one year warranty

Poor quality

Poor quality. I did get them to replace the batteries that would not hold a charge. They sent me a replacement vest since the one I purchased ended up getting a burn mark from the heating element. I messaged again because now the zipper broke and they told me I was outside of the 30 day warranty. I explained to them that this was the replacement vest that broke and they said too bad you are outside of the 30 day warranty. I would suggest you save your money and find a company that warrants their products longer than 30 days. I missed the warranty period in the fine print apparently.

I didn’t even get to wear it

I didn’t even get to wear it. I charge the battery turned it on and put it in the heated vest to see how long, it didn’t even last 30 minutes before the battery shut off I would not recommend these vest. I bought two and I am stuck with them.

I purchased 5 vests

I purchased 5 vests, 1 for me and the others for family members. We love them. I did have a problem with a faulty battery that although was full charged, would not 'connect' to the vest. I called the company and I received a new battery within 3 days.

I paid a premium price for glove liners…

I paid a premium price for glove liners that were supposed to keep my hands warm below zero. I live on a farm and work outside several hours everyday and I just wanted to keep my fingers from going numb. The glove liners are attractive and soft but NOT warm. I paid a ridiculously high price for liners and my fingers still freeze at 20 degrees above zero with a pair of winter gloves over them. Don't waste your money. So disappointed.
