Poor product - disappointed
Even though product purchased is B grade (only option close to size of existing decking) it is much worse in quality than expected. I would rather have paid a lot more to get top grade of the size wanted (140x30), but it was not an option. Much of batch delivered will end up on the fire pit. The board is profiled on one side only - the one profiling choice you get doesn't match my existing. Delivery was fine.

Dear John,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on Trustpilot. We're sorry to hear that you're disappointed with the quality of the B-grade decking that you received. We understand that you would have preferred to pay more for a top-grade product, but unfortunately, it wasn't available in the size that you needed.
We strive to provide our customers with high-quality products and endeavour to ensure that the descriptions are accurate, and we apologize that we fell short of your expectations. We'll make sure to take your feedback into consideration as we continue to improve our product offerings.
Regarding the profiling choice, we understand that it's frustrating that it didn't match your existing decking. We try to offer a variety of profiling options to accommodate different customer preferences, but we're sorry that we didn't have the exact match that you were looking for.
We appreciate your feedback, and we'll work hard to make improvements for the future. If there's anything else we can do to assist you, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
If you would like to return your order, please give us a call on 01248 305530.
Best regards,
Snowdon Timber

We bought a bag of kiln dried softwood logs to burn on our open fire. They were difficult to catch light and spat a lot of sparks. It would seem that the kiln drying process was not effective.

Dear Mr L,
Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention. We're sorry to hear that you've experienced issues with spitting while burning softwood on your open fire.
It's important to note that even when softwood firewood is properly dried, it can still have a tendency to spit and pop due to the nature of the wood. This is because softwood contains more resin than hardwood, which can create pockets of trapped gas that can cause the wood to burst or crackle when it's burned.
While this spitting can be a nuisance, it's a common occurrence when burning softwood, and it's not necessarily a sign that the wood is damp or of poor quality. However, to minimize spitting, we recommend using a fireplace screen or guard to prevent embers from escaping and causing any damage.
If you have any further concerns or questions about the firewood you purchased or any issues related to burning softwood on an open fire, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're always happy to help and provide advice.
Thank you for choosing our company, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.
Best regards,
Snowdon Timber

Check the logs on delivery
Received a large bag of kiln dried softwood logs. Unfortunately, when the logs arrived they were far from kiln dried, they were seasoned for a short period at best, and unusable. I Contacted Snowdon Timber and they were very quick to apologise and highlight that this must have been a mixup at the yard. They have since refunded me for the order. This would have been a 1* review based on what I received, but the customer service was pretty good.
