Ordered in January 2024

Ordered in January 2024, then foolishly another pair in March 2024.

Never got either pair, just emails with excuses and "updates" on shipping that never materialized. So in November of 2024 I requested a refund, which now, in January 2025, still has not come through. I keep emailing and getting responses about it being "in process". I just want my $81.11 back.

10 months, no jeans. 3 more months to obtain refund.

*Edit - After 3 months of emailing the company, I have received my refund.

I have waited a year for my jeans and have been denied a refund. I cannot do a chargeback. The "customer service" offers cut/paste response of wait 3 weeks.

Very disappointed. Do not support this company.

I was an orginal purchaser of Slo, now very disappointed and unlikely to purchase again in future

I've given up, the endless lack of updates and when an update is received or requested it is fully of the same misleading excuses and what feels like lies.

You can't keep to anything you report and I've given you way to many times to just do what you would say you would do!!

And even when I have to reach out to prompt basic communication I get the same repeated, what now must be lies. And got a very passive aggressive email blaming the USA's changing laws. But I'm all the way in Australia and shipping from a factory in Europe shouldn't be routed via America a much longer route. As well as a promise for an update soon!! Well where is this update?!?!

I will never purchase from you again, I took a chance and now have been badly burnes by your ongoing and poor practices.

I have now formally requested a refund and will not accept no or that the jeans are coming for an answer.

I was an orginal purchaser of Slo Jean's back in the first launch. I greatly loved these first pair of Jean's, especially the adjustable size feature to allow the Jean's to remain comfy during small fluctuations of size. I was very disappointed to discovered this feature had been removed in subsequent launches.

I recently made a purchase in March 2024 to be part of a lifetime member system they were setting up which also came with a free shirt.

In May I received a discount code for 90 dollars off when the shop reopens in July 2024 - which did not happen and I don't know if this code is still active or what is happening with my lifetime membership. Or if I will receive my shirt, as the only updates I have been receiving sporadically are about the jeans. It appears the lifetime membership is now this once off discount code, which was not described about in the lifetime membership information on the website. This lifetime membership has been removed from the website for months now. And I think I've been mislead about it, as I remember reports of a discount code for a lifetime of future purchases.

I received a shipping notification with tracking in September 2024. The package according to the tracking has remained unmoved this entire time in Turkey.

In several communications I've received reporting unexpected delays and promises the shipment would start moving within weeks. I received in December 2024 an detailed explanation for the delays - naive understandings of international customs policies and procedures from Slo leadership and an incompetent shipping partner. And another promise that the package would start moving within a week. This has not happened and the package remains in Turkey as it has bee  since September 2024. I'm now of the belief that the Jean's are more likely to arrive in 2026 then they are in 2025 if they arrive at all. It's very disappointing as I was seeking to support the companies mission. Which it seems it can't even uphold, of quality service and quality fashion.

Regarding your shipping situation since September, I understand your frustration completely. The delay with our shipping partner has been a nightmare. While we've identified the root cause, they're moving at a glacial pace to sort through and account for every package. I'm pushing them daily, and packages are slowly moving, but frankly, their performance has led us to decide to end our relationship with them.

About the store credit system - we're finalizing the technical implementation right now and it will be ready within the next week. It's taken longer than anticipated because we needed to build something more robust than what Shopify offers by default, but it will ensure all benefits - including your free shirt - are properly tracked and honored.

About the adjustable size feature - I hear your disappointment about its removal. We made this decision based on customer feedback and production efficiency, but your comment makes me think we should revisit this option for future designs.

A two-year wait since September 2022 is absolutely unacceptable - there's no good justification for this experience.

As I mentioned in my email to you yesterday, I want you to know that I've recently been in detailed discussions with our shipping partners and some new information has come to light. I will be personally emailing all affected customers by the end of this week with a full explanation and resolution.

I understand your frustration with the excuses and delays. You were one of our earliest supporters, and we failed you. While we can't undo the past two years, I promise you'll have a concrete resolution within days.

I am also going to give you $250 of store credit, your jeans delivered at last, and a refund too. You deserve to have been one of our unluckiest customers, disappointed again and again and again. I'm so sorry for the experience you had. When I do get you your jeans, I hope that at least will begin to restore your faith in us and our mission which, having joined 2 years ago, I know you once must have believed in.

Regardless of the final outstanding shipping issues which I believe I have finally round a lasting resolution to this week, we are now a very different company than we were in 2022. We've completely overhauled our production and delivery systems, and we're now delivering all new orders within 30 days of measurements being submitted, or we offer an immediate refund. While this comes far too late for your experience, I want you to know that customers like you have driven these essential changes.

Fantastic quality, and the support staff is so lovely.

Wonderful company with helpful and kind support staff. The wait is worth it. Getting jeans that you know will last, and also fits to your measurements, is a great feeling. There was a shipping issue causing a delay on the end of the shipping company, but Slo was very responsive and helpful getting it taken care of. So not only does it feel good to know I'm supporting sustainable and ethical practices, but the people doing the job are so lovely. It did take longer than expected to get my order, but I knew going in that it would take time, and I was kept in the loop and communicated with throughout the process. I would absolutely order from them again. The wait is so worth it.

Order made in April and still waiting

I ordered my jeans in April 2024 and I am still waiting for the order to arrive. I feel like I was scammed and lost my money. The customer service is friendly, but the bad thing is that the company is not active or tells you about its problems.

I've only gotten replies when I've emailed them myself. Bad customer service. I already received a code to track my order, but it's still in "prepairing". I do not recommend ordering jeans from them.

There is no information about the problems on their website and if I had known the situation, I would not have ordered. I had seen videos about Slø's jeans and wanted to support the start-up company. I have supported but I have not received my product. I am disappointed, sad and upset.

My patience is running out, so I decided to give direct feedback through this and warn others not to order Slø jeans, so they don't lose their money. I lost my money and I no longer dare to support a start up company after this experience.

Slø: improve the flow of information so that customers know at what stage the jeans are and if there are any delays, plus don't make empty promises that the order will be delivered in a couple of weeks. Empty promises are the worst thing a customer can get and trust in the company is lost for this reason.

First, let me be clear: your jeans will be delivered within the next 3 weeks. I know this might sound like another empty promise, but we're finally in a position where we can say this with certainty.

You're absolutely right about our communication failures. Waiting since April with sporadic updates only when you reach out? That's unacceptable. I want to be transparent about what's been happening: we've been severely underresourced in customer service, and I've personally been handling hundreds of customer tickets per day. This has forced me into a reactive mode, constantly on the back foot trying to keep up, rather than providing the proactive communication you deserve. It's been the hard reality of the past few months, but we're nearly out of the woods now and building the infrastructure to provide the level of service our customers should expect.

I'm sharing all of this in such a public space because transparency isn't just something we talk about - it's a core value we hold ourselves to, even when it means acknowledging our shortcomings. Running a startup means facing tough challenges, and while we've stumbled in our execution, we've never wavered from our commitment to being honest with our community about where we are and where we're headed.

We're not just a jeans company - we're trying to revolutionize how clothing is made, creating a sustainable, ethical alternative to fast fashion. But our bigger mission doesn't excuse letting our customers down. You took a chance on supporting a startup, and we didn't deliver on our promises.

The good news is that these hard lessons haven't been in vain. We're relaunching in December with completely overhauled systems and processes that finally let us deliver on our promises: custom-fit jeans, made ethically, delivered within 30 days or you get your money back. No more uncertainty, no more endless waits.

Worst experience I have ever had with an online store.

Well what can I say, I am more than disappointed…
I ordered jeans in December 2023. After asking several times about the current status because I didn't receive any updates, I received my jeans at the beginning of April 2024. The waist was more than 10cm too big. I specifically requested that a slo "specialist" sized me, but obviously they were not capable.
I complained straight away but have not received a replacement or my money to date. After asking almost every month, my patience is at an end. On September 4, Ralph told me that I would receive my jeans in about three weeks. Well, now it's November and of course I haven't received my jeans.
I feel like I've been scammed and the customer service is a disaster. Constantly empty promises and excuses.
Please do NOT shop at Slo.

First, I want to confirm that your exchange jeans are currently with our shipping partner, and you will receive them within the next 2-3 weeks. I know this feels like another promise after so many delays, but I want to explain what's been happening behind the scenes.

The core issue has been an unprecedented challenge with Turkish customs. We discovered that international direct-to-consumer fulfillment from Turkey simply didn't exist before Slø - it was all commercial bulk exports. We've literally had to work with customs brokers to change Turkish export laws to allow "micro-exports" directly to individual customers. In my 15 years of operations experience, I've never encountered anything like this.

However, I understand that these explanations, while true, don't make up for your terrible experience. The 10cm sizing error was unacceptable, and the months of waiting for your exchange is even worse. You deserved better communication and faster resolution.

As an immediate step, I'm authorizing a full refund for your order. Please email support@slo.co to process this. Your exchange jeans will still be delivered to you with our compliments.

The past two years have been an intense learning curve. No one in the fashion industry has attempted a scalable made-to-order model like this before, but that's not an excuse for letting our customers down. We've been working tirelessly to improve our processes, from sizing accuracy to production timelines. We're about to launch a completely new production process based on everything we've learned, ensuring accurate fit, consistent quality, and timely delivery - or we refund customers immediately.

I have ordered from Slo twice

I have ordered from Slo twice, and will not be ordering again. The first pair of jeans was part of the 2nd or 3rd launch in earl 2023, after a months of waiting (I expected a few months but not 7 months) I was disappointed with the jeans. The pockets were nice and the fabric quality was good, but I had changed sizes and due to the long wait time they no longer fit. The right leg also sits weird, almost like the front panel of the jeans was cut too short. The outside seam keeps trying to wrap around my leg when worn. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered another pair in April 2024. There was limited contact at first, and then I started to recieve email updates which I appreciate, but production was still taking longer then they led me to believe this time around. I was then given a coupon for another pair of jeans, but my trust in this company was starting to wane at this point, and I did not want to order more. Then, all contacted stopped completely from early June until I asked for an update in July. I finally recieved a response in August saying that some jeans were done but no tracking information. I reached back out in September looking for an update because they were not be forthcoming. I was told a few days later, "You will receive these jeans within the next 2 weeks, and a maximum of 3 weeks if everything that can go wrong does. If all else fails in that tie I will issue you with a full refund." I finally recieved a tracking number a few days later, which never updated. After 3 weeks past on October 13th, I reached out again because I had not recieved my jeans and the tracking information never updated. I still have not heard from the company, I have not received my jeans, nor was I given a refund if they did never delivered. I was so hopeful that this company would be great and change the fashion industry, but I have been disappointed again and again. I just want my money back at this point since I seriously doubt the jeans I ordered will ever arrive or that they will even fit correctly if they do.

I am so sorry you have been messed around so much in the process of waiting for your orders, and that you have been disappointed having received them. I want to address your experiences with both orders and make this right for you.

First, I sincerely apologize for all the issues you've faced. Your detailed review highlights several serious problems - the 7-month wait for your first pair, the fit issues, the inconsistent communication, the broken promises about delivery times, and the non-updating tracking number. Each of these is unacceptable on its own; together, they represent a complete breakdown in our service to you. I apologize.

Regarding your first order from early 2023: The fit issues you described with the right leg and outer seam twisting to the front is a rare and subtle issue from the cutting process. When they were being constructed, that pattern piece was cut on the wrong grainline. Woven fabrics have threads running perpendicular to each other, and there is a "straight grain" - this grain usually runs vertically down the garment in order to have your clothes hang right. It is likely that when they cut out that piece or pieces, they rotated the piece in order to have it fit into the amount of fabric they have, causing it to no longer be cut on the straight grain.

For your April 2024 order: The communication gaps and unfulfilled promises were completely unacceptable. I am now managing all customer service communications myself. Whilst I have been myself frustrated that the information I was given was incorrect, this was obviously much more frustrating for you who received multiple inaccurate timelines from me as a direct result. Once again, I am so sorry for that. We have been working tirelessly to clean up our data and I expect now our timeline accuracy is greatly improved.

Your point about trust is particularly important to us. We've failed to earn your trust twice now, and that's something I and the team here take very seriously. While we've made significant changes to our operations - we now deliver all new orders within 30 days of measurements being submitted, or we offer a full refund - I understand that these improvements come too late for your experience with us. But I hope that you will try us again once you receive your order after long shipping delays form our shipping partner, which we have now resolved.

I received your email this morning and have refunded you now. I am sorry that you had to chase me on that. That was my mistake for missing that until now due to the high volume of emails I have been handling.

Your feedback about wanting to support us as a company trying to change the fashion industry, only to be let down repeatedly, really hits home hard. Long time in the making but good pants

I really love the pants! Unfortunately the making took a very long time (ordered them in January and recieved them in October), but that was in parts also a problem with their delivery company and the customer service was extremely nice. I am excited to see where this company goes in the future.

Unfortionately the pants got a hole next to the zipper. I really enjoyed wearing them but due to the position of the hole I dont think i can continue to wear them. I suppose that batch of pants was a very unlucky one.

Good product and good practices!

I’ve been extremely excited about this company and their products since I first saw them in TikTok, but don’t have a lot of money to spend whenever I want, so when early this year they did a sale for pants “and cost” (I believe). I know there were a LOT of people that got just as excited, they were struggling to get them all completed and sent out for a while. But once I did get them I was SO excited! Their measurements are VERY TRUE to size, and also keep in mind that the fabric is very soft and there’s a good amount of stretch to it! They do have a way to send them back to be resized, but though mine aren’t a perfect fit, they’re still the best jeans I’ve ever (literally) had so I’m not willing to part with them for that long!!
It was also so meaningful that they were in open communication with us about delays and reasons for them. AND they offered us a lifetime discount AND store credit because of the delay. And I know this was offered to EVERYONE not just people who complained, because I never did.

I am really dissapointed

I am really dissapointed. I ordered 2 Jeans in DECEMBER and i still haven't recieved them. The customer service is really bad always saying "there was a delay". I really don't believe them anymore, i'm going to try to get my money back. Really bad experience, please don't order.

Not what was promised.

I made my order in Jan 2024 as part of their buy one, get a second surprise pair deal. After waiting months and reviving a shipping number that wasn't updating, I reached out to the company. In this email I also verified that I was going to revive the 2nd pair of jeans, since I noticed there was no mention of a mystery pair in the confirmation. They mention back end issues (Which at the time I went with, since they are a newer company), and confirmed I would get the second pair. After more waiting and asking for and reviving a refund, my package did arrive.
I was disappointed to say the least, I was only sent one pair, even after checking and being told there would be two. Also, the jeans themselves are not great, The fabric is very thin, there are several seams that are left sharp inside the jeans and the fit is horrible. I have gone up almost a full size since I put in my order and yet the jeans are easily 2 sizes bigger then I need in the waist. They also seem to have a to much fabric in the front, even with the size being off, leaving them to have a very odd fit. Defiantly not impressed and would not suggest this company to others.

I understand you placed your order in January 2024, and the wait you endured was unacceptable. We've since made significant improvements to our production process, and we're now able to deliver all new orders within 30 days of measurements being submitted, or we offer a full refund.

Regarding your order, I want to clarify a few points:

1. We processed a full refund for you in July, and we're glad you still received your jeans despite this.

2. About the second pair: This was a free add-on, contingent on having extra stock from previous production. We offer a coupon code when we run out of jeans in a customer's size. I'd be happy to provide this code to you if you email me directly on my email below.

3. Regarding the fabric thickness: It sounds like you may have accidentally chosen our thinner 10.5oz fabric option. This was a popular choice, requested by over 90% of 700,000 respondents in our 2022 survey. However, we do offer a thicker 13.5oz fabric for those who prefer it which is more like a traditional thick denim.

4. I'm truly sorry about the poor fit you experienced. We'd like to offer you a free remake to address this issue. Despite the refund we've already provided, I'd be happy to arrange this for you given the long wait you endured. Please email me directly, and I'll send you our returns and exchanges form.

5. As mentioned earlier, we've resolved the issues causing delays. New orders are now produced and shipped within 30 days, so any remakes or future orders won't involve a long wait.

I have always detested Jean shopping. Slo made me a perfect fitting pair of jeans from some photos I uploaded. I’m a curvy girl, they fit on the hips and on the waist, with no gap, no struggle to get them on.

A few bumps in the road but 10/10 service

First ordered a couple pairs of jeans from slo during their very first launch (2022?) and they were amazing! I messed up in my measurements so the length is a little short but otherwise best pair of jeans I've got. Tried ordering the cargos when those were launched but at that time they were dealing with a lot of shipping and production issues so my order got lost in the chaos. Thanks to their awesome customer service, my order was put back through and I am awaiting the cargos once again. (fingers crossed they make it through this time!)

Ordered from Slo in January 2024 with a…

Ordered from Slo in January 2024 with a coupon that promised a free second surprise pair of jeans(as they end up with extras in the cutting process). 9 months later I finally received my order...Just one pair of jeans, not two as promised. I have no interest in emailing them for the second pair of jeans, as the cut and quality of these is extremely subpar. The fit is awful and quality of denim is akin to Walmart. I am used to wearing Premium Denim(Frame, Madewell, and Good American are some of my favorite brands), and the fit and quality of these is laughable in comparison. AE jeans are better than these, and I think AE jeans are bad. These are going straight in the trash. (I mean, I'll donate them, but doubt anyone would even buy these for 5 dollars).

Terrific Jeans !!

Now I have 6 pair ! Whatever they are doing now is working. Ralph challenged me to give them a try with their new production process, and WOW! I placed an order on August 24th. Shipping information was provided on September 25th. Jeans arrived October 4th. Honestly, guys, keep this going! The jeans are great, so very comfortable, and POCKETS!

Worth the wait!

My timeline was a bit long, but absolutely worth the wait! I ordered in January '24, received my tracking number in June '24, and received my jeans in the beginning of October '24.

This is a startup that is working out their systems and dealing with the chaos that comes from filling a need ethically that is widespread and frequently complained about. My lack of frustration with the turnaround from order to the item's arrival comes from understanding that; though I can understand peoples' frustration, if you're unfamiliar with investing in startups that do not already have full teams behind them when you've discovered them.

This is a very young company, and it shows, but it does so in both amazing (quality and attention to detail) and irksome (wait times, lack of organic updates) ways that they are working to improve upon.

I sent infrequent emails asking for general updates, and received replies within a few days (which is entirely normal in customer service, in my experience) and then would return to idly waiting. It was a long while, yes, but one I understood, and became a pleasant surprise when they arrived!

My jeans arrived today, and they fit like a dream. This is the first time I've felt like jeans are actually fitting without a belt, which I honestly thought was a myth.

Sizing information is printed on an inside tag which is great since they have a unique sizing system and I definitely didn't write my size down. The material is a little stiff, but that's to be expected as they have been in transit, etc. Pockets are a good size, seaming is sturdy, hardware is great, and the online description was entirely accurate. I have never ordered jeans online, preferring to try on prior to purchase due to having a difficult to size body type and not wanting to go through the process of finding the size/cut/etc of one brand via frequently returning items and spending more money to do so, so this was a leap for me that I'm super glad I took. It can only get better from here, though there will always be growing pains when one decides to try and tackle a niche such as this.

I look forward to supporting as I can in the future, and seeing how they grow!
