If I could give zero stars I would. My sky box stopped working for no reason. On hold to the call centre for almost an hours either it telling me the expected wait time was 1-2 minutes. The message then changed to sstanley I was now 25th in the queue. Went to the online chat service snd eventually got to 5th in the queue. At 9:30 pm I dropped to 3rd then checked what hours their contact centre operates. It closed at 8pm. Thanks for wasting my time Sky. I hope you pick up the phone in the morning when I call to cancel my contract

Moved into new home with my sky TV
Moved into new home and had to get a sky aerial and connection going . Needed help getting set up but both appointments with their technician (Noel lemming) were no shows . Ended up having to book another company who were not impressed with the “rush job” their words ! done by the sky aerial technician but at last I had my TV , online content, dvd, and sound all working at a cost of $500 on top of the $195 sky charged on top of their monthly bill as a elderly disable person I now have this huge bill which could have been avoided if sky had done the job right from the beginning, like they used to do. The worse I’d ever experienced with Sky their aerial tech told me his job was to get only Sky working and the rest was not his problem I ran into problems from the beginning with his work. I have been with Sky since they started decades ago and had never experienced anything like this before I’m now considering stopping Sky altogether and just using online content.every sky person I talked with told me a different story and I found it so difficult to understand their operators this entire experience has been horrible and very expensive.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Hate to be that person but the workers do not speak english fluently which makes it extremely difficult. Both times i’ve called this week i was met with service where the workers could not understand my question after asking multiple times. Tried to get the live chat instead to avoid dealing with this but the chat always places me in queue until i have to give up waiting. Extremely frustrating to deal with. Please pay your workers more than minimum wage so you can afford to hire people who speak english fluently
Closed my account after almost 40yrs
I have closed my account after almost 40 years as a loyal customer because of the abysmal Accounts department, Priya Mala & Cecilia Reveche in particular. They sent emails stating incorrect details of what I owed, they ignored my responses and just 'suggested' my account would be sent to a collection agency.
I cannot stress how good their Customer Service was however, Frankie & Anvari are very sympathetic and helpful.
Sky accounts needs to up their game, provide their Customers with the correct information and not threaten you when yjou are barely 1 month behind bearing in mind we actually pay them in advance.
I do not recommend them.

Horrendous customer service
Horrendous customer service from start to finish. Firstly our bill was overdue as they sent it to the wrong email even though ours had not changed ever. We didn't get the invoice on time and our account became overdue so we were charged overdue fees plus our services were cut. We paid the bill once we realised what had happened. Still waiting for our services to be reinstated more than a week later despite speaking to 4 customer services representatives regarding this and regarding their initial error re the incorrect email address they all assured me this had been done. Well sorry but it has not! They basically try and make you upgrade and fool you into thinking you are getting something for free which is absolute BS. They are not interested in giving good customer service only what they can sell on to you. We have only kept sky because of the rugby channels even now even that's wearing thin. Their call centre is also obviously based overseas which does not help at all. They can't seem to be able to give call backs which is so ridiculous. Anyway Sky I'd say your days are numbered with us and I'm sure we aren't the only ones who feel this way judging from the negative reviews I've read.

I ordered Sky TV for my father in June. When we received it, the plug in version of Sky TV was of poor streaming quality, not worth the price tag. So we decided to cancel our subscription - less than 2 weeks later. Many phone calls, waiting on the line, mixed messaging, and I was finally able to cancel the account and reverse the $120 cancellation fee - an exorbitant fee in itself. Fast-forward to now (mid-September), and I have just received notice that I owe Baycorp $150. Not sure where this number came from. I called Baycorp who advised me to get receipt of my returned Sky TV plug-in. Once again, a long wait time and being transferred to different departments, I was FINALLY able to convince the person that their colleague who I had spoken with two months ago had advised me that any payments or fees would be waived on the return of the product. Unsure why I was questioned, considering Baycorp already told me moments earlier that all they needed was proof of receipt. NOW I have to wait for an email confirming all of this before calling Baycorp once again. Here’s hoping…
Lucky for me, I’m relatively young, tech-savvy and I stand my ground. Sky TV are parasites who prey on those without time, knowledge of how to operate technology, and unclear fees. They are also so quick to forward anything to Baycorp. I suppose that these days Sky TV is in the business of survival, and will do anything to stay in business.
Absolutely monstrous.
P.S. I have no negative feelings towards their staff over the phone who were as polite as they could have possibly been, and who are just being fed lines to tell their customers. I feel sorry for them, having to work for such a dishonest company, which I’m sure causes a lot of angry and upset customers who take their feelings out on them.
Do better Sky. Or just move on from cable TV and accept that it is 2024. Parasitic monsters.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the Sky Service pay-per-view service. I purchased a one-week subscription with the expectation of being able to view the Sky Sport NBA basketball Olympic games, but I was unable to access any of the footage, including highlights.
Despite my repeated requests for a refund, Sky has ignored my emails and refused to acknowledge my situation. I feel that I have been misled and am disappointed with the lack of customer service I have received.
I will not be using Sky Service again and would advise others to consider alternative options for pay-per-view services.
Very Poor customer service
What has gone right. Zero customer service. Black box has been having issues and has finally been diagnosed as needing to be replaced.
Two weeks ago a replacement box was sent, to a wrong address at the other end of the island.
Multiple phone calls to sky and still that sky box is sitting at the other end of the island and we are still using a very dodgy faulty unit while paying our full monthly subscription.
Completely unacceptable from a customer service perspective.
Deal with Sky at your peril
This company is unbelievably poor and only survives because it has a virtual monopoly. It appears to have no technical expertise and yet it is in a high technology industry. Its customer care operates at a survey level of zero stars and its top management appear to be happy with that. As long as you pay the monthly charge the Company will be happy but don't expect any after sales customer care. Without wasting the reader's time on my issues, it revolves around the technical issues surrounding the new (white) Sky box and the inability of Sky to address them. In my case it led to getting a replacement older version and then an inability of their voice assisted card activation system to validate the plastic card. It did then attempt to transfer the call to a live assistant but to no avail. They apparently don't respond. Recognising that the issue is one of talking to their 0800 number system, their only solution was for me to pay $100 for a technician to visit and make the telephone call for me and get the same response. Unbelievable! I don't need a technician to make my telephone calls.

These communication companies have an inherent issue with customer service. In this case Sky does not have a good working relationship with their own installation contractor, Enable. Why is this a customer problem. Surely Sky could communicate with Enable rather than using the customer as an un informed third party. I guess eventually the internet will be turned on. I think it has been 7 days since I first made the online application. Patiently I shall wait. Enable have asked me to contact sky again......

I have noticed every channel works fine except my GO to News Al Jazeera English it's glitches as of today 23 July 2024 really badly is there a reason for this particular channel to have issues

Thought we'd get new sky box, big mistake! My son got everything hooked up n then it froze twice during final install. Thankfully gave uo n put old black one in. Then realised if we'd continued I wouldn't be able to watch what's on main tv in other room unless I pay for multiroom, don't need that! All I wanted to do was watch what's on main tv in another room, not a different channel, as Ive done for years! It's a simple basic thing! Guess what? they don't tell you this! so be warned people or you'll end up having to pay another $25 monthly Having now been reading other reviews so glad it's going back. Seems there's been a lot if complaints about this and the new white sky box. Been with sky since the beginning maybe time to look at other options. Anything I can't get on sky I'll just continue to chrome cast app ( like Wimberldon) to my tv. It's so easy to do. Very dissatisfied and dissapointed.

The online support chat doesn’t exist, multiple emails with no response or reply. This is becoming a regular occurrence not only with Sky but many other big companies as well because they all use the overseas support based in India. They are renown for lack of communication and support often make you wait long time before hanging up.

The most terrible service I have ever had. Extremely disappointed with sky. Tried to cancel sky, which they made difficult. Nowhere to drop sky box in Christchurch anymore, so they said they would send a courier bag. Did not receive the courier bag. Receive a bill on Monday for the box, and now 2 days later debt collectors. Spoke with customer services this morning and ask that they confirm via e-mail they will wipe charge and debt collectors when I send the box back, lady promised this would come through, have not received it as yet! Now debt collectors are phoning WOW I have never had a bad debt in my life these guys are unreal.
