your software made it convienient, However
your software made it convenient to print out the labels purchased. However, due to the cost of the software and the capabilities, I have reverted back to my Excell template. With the excel template, I have more options than the software can provide and automation. Considering the Cost of the labels and the cost of the software is what made me revert back to our previous methods.

It sounds like you have a great solution with your Excel process, but I wanted to provide further context to some of the things you have highlighted in your review:
- I believe you utilise the Belden Labelflex solution. The software is a one-time cost, starting at just £120. With this software, you receive all the predesigned templates of the labels we produce and free-of-charge support and training to maximise your investment. Perhaps more importantly, in your case, free-of-charge feature updates. If you purchase the software today, when you start it back up again in ten years, you will have the most up-to-date version, with the most up-to-date labelling technologies, at no extra software development cost. In this sense, even the lowest investment is future-proof.
- I am unclear on what you mean by Excel providing more automation; as we develop the software in-house, we always look to improve our offering to our partners. If you are available, scheduling a quick call between our support team and you would be great so they can gather your feedback and improve the solution. This improvement, if made, would then be rolled out free-of-charge
- Naturally, the cost of the labels will be slightly higher than other labelling companies. The price of the labels includes the free-of-charge support, training, feature updates, etc. that I have mentioned previously. Many of our partners do not wish to have an out-of-date solution when it comes to printing or, worse, not be able to properly use the solution when they are pinched for a time at the end of the project. This is where the free-of-charge support comes in to help partners hit tight deadlines and ensure labelling does not derail a whole project. If you have purchased the labels through a BELDEN distributor, please share the details with sales@silverfox.co.uk so they can review whether the price you have been charged is suitable.
I will pass your feedback on to the support team, and hopefully, we can action that automation point for you and turn this into a 5-star review in the future.

It has a clear print that ensures easy identification and reduces the time spent to figure out cables during installations, maintenance, or repairs. No brainer for our next project
Used Silver Fox on one of our projects, previous label suppliers were unable to offer fast support for the printer that we had. I was pleasantly surprised at how responsive and effective the Silver Fox team were. Would highly recommend.

Great company and great products
Great company and great products. The wrap-around labels they produced were great. Lots of label options. Price was quite high, I thought, but I guess you have to pay for good product. Software price is also high, so I got Silver Fox to print and ship the labels to me. We'd have to do a lot of labels to make this worth investing in. A bit disappointed with the results as they had a white band around a coloured label. I would have thought this could have been eliminated in the software, so not really willing to invest in that.....

The white border around the labels printed on a colour laser printer is intentionally there to avoid any bleed between labels next to each other if those labels happen to be different colours. e.g. a blue next to a green.
I understand from speaking to the salesperson who serviced your pre-print order that all of your labels were green, so I can understand your frustration with the white outer band. But the white borders are there for a good reason and have minimal impact on the colour coding of the label. Your salesperson also mentioned that he did share pictures of the white band with you to confirm it was suitable before finalising the job.
We apologise for you not being willing to invest in the software to print the labels yourself. For your reference, this is currently a one-time fee of £231.00 + VAT, which includes:
- FOC remote training to get you up and running as soon as possible
- FOC remote support to ensure your projects do not stall at any labelling stage
- Most notably, FOC feature updates, which means after the one-time fee, in 5 years, you will have the most up-to-date version at no extra cost.
Finally, should you not be willing to invest in the software, you also have the option to download the free trial, in which you receive nine separate, non-consecutive days of trial to conduct your printing.
