We had a fantastic day exploring Amalfi and Ravello with Offshore Excursions.

Rosy was friendly, warm and informative, and arranged a beautiful coastal boat tour for us in Amalfi. We also had plenty of time to explore both Amalfi and Ravello on our own, which we really appreciated.

Salvatore navigated the motorways and winding mountain roads with all the confidence and experience you’d expect from an Italian driver!

Easy to navigate through options.

We took the day trip from La Spezia to Lucca and Pisa. It was a great use of our day at port and I would recommend doing this as an alternative to tours operated by the cruise line. We saw a lot and it was a great price. Our guide Alessandro and the driver Ricardo were great!

This was supposed to be a nine hour tour from Naples. Probably my fault that I didn't notice there was an hour on each end as they drove us to Salerno. We were supposed to meet the driver just outside the ship where they would be holding our name. We were supposed to meet at 8:00 and we got out there at about 20 of and found no one there. We waited until about 10 of 8 and texted the company to find out where the driver was. They said he was there and gave me his number. I texted him and there was no response. I then called him and there was no answer. I texted the company back saying that he wasn't responding. They told me he was driving and that's why he couldn't answer, he would be there soon. After about 10 minutes I started getting texts from the driver saying he was on his way and sending pictures of where he was and where he would meet us. At about 8:25 he finally showed up. As he opened the door to the van there were other people inside already. As we sat down we introduced ourselves and asked where they were staying. They said they were from the same ship we were. He had walked into the parking lot apparently a minute or two before we got there, saw the people and asked them if they were it, as if they would somehow know, and he promptly left with them. He apparently had no manifest or knowledge of even how many people he was supposed to get. We finally arrived in Salerno at about 9:40. Now we had paid close to $1000 for the two of us for this trip, I was expecting a good size boat with a lot of extras, possibly even a cabin with a head. There was no place on the description anywhere that said anything about what the boat was like. We were walked down this pier where there was a line of very large pleasure boats and as we came past them, we suddenly found this little 15 foot bow rider. It was a type of boat I had considered renting and just driving ourselves for €200 plus gas. I didn't do it because everything I read said you need a bigger boat to be able to see enough of the Amalfi coast to make it worthwhile. The company was called blue dream boat rentals. I can't stress enough how much of a let down this whole thing was. Unfortunately, I saw everything through the lens of having paid $1000 for this. It was absolutely no fun. We were bobbing along in this little bow rider with a 40 horse motor being slammed by every wave that came across the bow. Watching all these bigger tour boats cruise by. The captain pointed out areas here and there but it was nothing very informative. We were supposed to have an hour stop in Amalfi and an hour stop in Positano. Because of the very late start he told us we only had 40 minutes in Amalfi which meant we had time to go in find a bathroom, grab a little Gelato and then we had to head back to the boat. We never stopped at Positano at all. It was so late and they wanted to get us back to the pier by 3:00 that they weren't going to even stop to let us get any lunch. Because everyone complained they finally arranged for us to pull into a beach restaurant and grab something quick. Then he went as fast as the little boat would go slamming through these waves the rest of the way. It was no fun for my back. By the time we got back to the bus we had been on the water for only about 5 hours. (over an hour of which was just racing to get bsack to the pier) The other folks on the tour seemed to think it was OK but I have no idea what they paid for it. I used to trust the shore excursions group but not anymore.

UPDATE: Very shortly after I had posted this review, Shorex contacted me that they were looking into the things I had claimed. They got back to me a few days later and said they were refunding half of what we paid. I am very grateful and while I still don't like Blue Dreams, I once again trust Shorex.

Booked the Best of Eidfjord sightseeing with them and had a very smooth experience. They are helpful on the phone during booking and the tour was exactly as advertised. I have used them regularly whenever we cruise and have never felt even close to missing the return to ship. They are well organized and very focused on being sure we see what was promised and aren’t rushed thru the itinerary. The guide on this tour spoke English clearly and was knowledgeable about the area. This port is very beautiful. The waterfall at Voringsfossen and the turf roof building with goats on top happily munching away were highlights of the trip.

I almost booked 3 tours with this company, one for each port. We are on Navigator of the seas and did the snorkelling tour on August 9th in Cabo. It was horrible. One main guide for 30 people. You were kicked all the time since he was yelling for everyone to stay close. It is advertised as a glass bottom boat. There are 2 4x6 foot rectangles that are glass. It’s advertised as 3 hours. We were back in 2. That included loading and unloading. Lunch included means a bag handed to you with your lunch in it. Not worth the price.

This company is very professional. They sent us an email before the excursion with all the details: what to expect, what to bring with us, how to find our guide. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

It has been a very smooth tour through the booking and selection of excursions. The materials are well prepared and easy to follow. Very happy with everything so far.
