Worst Business Deal Ever With Shore Excursions Group
We were until last week a shore excursions supplier to Shore Excursions Group.
We were very happy with the number of people they sentin the first year and we worked hard to win our many 5 star reviews.....even though we lost money on some 2 or 3 people excursions.
In return we believed that we would receive many more tours the following year in 2026.
But we were sent less tours and so many tours in 2026 with only 2 people on them that we started to lose money.
The bottom line is this:
- SEG did not send enough people for us to make money on most ocassions.
And they would not pay us more money per guest.
Yet they constantly pushed us to take the tours and not to cancel if there were only 2 or 3 people........
Even though they made a lot of money, we lost money , and the guests themselves received essentially private tours for the cost of a shared tour.
- They did not pay until 30 days after receipt of the invoice. This meant we could be carrying expenses and costs for many excursions such as taxis, food, wine, etc for upto 45 days. Totally unaceptable.
To be fair to them they did agree to move the payment terms to 15 days as a special favour but even this was difficult.
This contract with SEG has to be the worst business deal I have ever signed.
They will say that we were difficult, that we did not deliver and that we did not turn up at the ports.
But its not true. Its business gaslighting.
We did cancel some tours for 2 people because we stood to lose a lot of money. And we did miss one excursion in 2025.
But overall we provided amazing experiences and had some great times for little return.
In fact, for the record, most guests dont even know that SEG is a BROKER. They own none of the tours.
I dont want to be put myself or in legal jeopardy with them as they ae a huge company ... so everything told here are my personal views.....
But think twice before becoming a shore excursion provider with Shore Excursions Group. They take a long time to pay, they dont pay enough per person and they dont send enough people.

Payment got a little shaky at the end
It got a little shaky at the end, I set up payment through PayPal, but instead of confirming at the end, billing page just disappeared. Then I went to PayPal site and there was nothing about this purchase. Then I went back to Shore Excursions website and after starting to go through the payment page again, a completed transaction page appeared. I guess there were some long delays.

I have not participated in any excursions yet, but have booked many! So I hope they go well! But the process has been so easy to use! We even had to cancel a reservation which was refunded immediately!

Very easy to navigate
Very easy to navigate. Just place your cruise information, and all of the available excursions are listed. Shore Excursion prices are cheaper than the cruise. They will meet you at the port on most of their excursions.

No need to be nervous!
This was the first time I booked an excursion without booking through a cruise line, and I was really nervous about it. I looked up SEG on TrustPilot and they had a high score and great reviews, so I decided to try it out. We had a perfect experience. Communication and organization were good and the excursion and guide were wonderful. We had a wonderful day and would absolutely use SEG again in the future.

Initially, unable to pay online with ease! Subsequently, no problem.
I couldn't pay online and had to reload and reselect my excursions multiple times before checkout accepted my card payment.
Later, on 8/25, I was notified that one of the 3 excursions was no longer available and that I would be credited for that charge. I picked a replacement excursion, and the purchase went through smoothly. Satisfied.

Smooth-like-glass experience
All of the shore excursion details were clearly stated prior to booking. We received our E-ticket within a very reasonable amount of time. And at that time both the ticket and a receipt were provided. Because this was such a good experience, we will be using the Shore Excursions Group again in the future.
