We had a terrible experience with Saudia on the fly from Rome to Nairobi via Jeddah. Despite having a confirmed tiket and cheeking in regularly, i was denied boarding without a valid reason. The ground handling noexistent and they left me without any solution to reach my final destination, completely ruining my travel plans. Do not travel with Saudia Airways
My flight from Jeddah to London Gatwick on 1/1/26 flight number SV101 scheduled for 08:25 we cleared security and boarded plane and it taxied near to runway and stayed there for 3 hours!!
Captain announcement was technical problem and we’re going back to airport terminal and when we got there they did explain and when we asked for explanation they just got angry in Arabic!!
They kept us for approximately 90mins and sent us In buses to hotel called’Grand Hotel’ it was anything but Grand !
The hotel had been closed prior to us for several years and it was awful with Cockroaches
They promised to feed us !! So we waited for 90mins and then caught a taxi to a restaurant.
They said to be ready 4am for bus next day to take us to airport….but we waited 60mins when no bus came we caught taxi to airport.
This is worst experience after 50 years of travelling and Saudi is one I never had before the Saudi airline staff are rude !!
Just to update everyone…..I raised complaint tkt number with Saudia Airways after couple of days : they have just simply closed ticket number!!!

- Bagaglio riconsegnato l'ultimo giorno, ovvero poco prima del volo di ritorno.
- Nessuno mi ha dato spiegazioni, nessuno sa dove sia finita per 10 giorni la mia valigia, mie mail e telefonate senza risposte!!

When I first booked my holiday, I hadn't actually looked into or heard of Saudia so when I then looked up their reviews, I was hugely worried and nearly cancelled the tickets as I was expecting it to be awful
We flew from London to Dubai, with a layover in Jeddah and Riyadh on the respective legs
We did have two minor delays but other than that, found the whole process at the airports very smooth, the planes were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and the food was plentiful and tasty
I did need to speak to Customer Services before travelling and also found them very helpful - though would recommend calling as their website is quite glitchy
Overall, we had a great experience with them and would definitely fly with them again - particularly as they were significantly cheaper than the equivalent Emirates flights (who we've flown with previously) and we didn't notice any real difference

Please be careful. The food is not labelled and I suffered an anaphylaxis shock. While I had some emergency meds I was seriously sick and nearly hospitalised.

i was on a 10 hr flight with saudia airlines the other day and have had no access to their entertainment. was advised that they have tried to reset this numerous times to no avail. i get that this may be out of the hands of the crew but surely, saudia should have something in place to compensate their passengers because this form part of the overall package of the fare and since a lot of people had to just sleep the entire time, this was not a good experience overall and saudia, given their vast commercial ads inviting passengers to avail their services should make every effort to all affected show that they acknowledge this and should not put anyone off using their airline again.

Don’t have zero ,worse ever experience with Saudi airline .i booked a flight from LHR to Lahore via Riyad on 31 dec 2025 .we travelled LHR to Riyadh and next flight they cancelled while we was on Riyadh airport with no explanation and they give me next flight after 12 days .Does it make sense to wait 12 days at airport for next flight .while there was not any help and any alternative.
I booked another flight paid to them and gone to destination now they refusing to give full refund .i never have that bad experience in my life .worse ever airline so please beware booking any flight with them

Saudi immigration is very rude behaviour I am a British citizen they treat me very rude and bad i am with my family I feel very ashamed and embarrass myself first experience but bad experience to be honest they don’t know how to gave respect to the foreigners…
Poor service
Poor service. Can’t provide a good level of food or cater to customers requirements. Always out of meals. I told her to give me the chicken. Went away came back no chicken. Same for my elderly parents. They have no coffee or tea. Have a crappy meal and just before landing have a small pizza

They are not the best in the GCC region. Domestic flights are expensive. For international flights they do not provide the best experience comparing to other Airlines.

I cannot log in to see, edit my booking, upgrade my booking. I call support, they ask me to make a ticket on the website, I make support ticket, Then the ticket gets closed it refers me to call support. I call support, they say they cannot help me. They don't care.
So good lesson. First and last time with Saudi. My brothers and Sisters from the mosque that want to do Umrah I will advise them all not to fly with this airline.
Reschedule after reschedule
We had 4 flights with Saudia Airlines, they rescheduled all these flights multiple times causing me all sorts of headaches and have to reschedule my holiday bookings, they don't seem to understand the impact of the constant rescheduling of flights.
I sent them an official complaint, they responded the delays were unforeseen, I would accept this if the delays were last minute, but the rescheduling was done days in advance of my flights so this cannot be classed as unforeseen. They just lie, they have no empathy, quite pathetic really.
The actual flight was fine, staff were friendly, but a little to late.
A disasterous experience from lost scooter to bad wifi to 2 damaged luggage
Wow, this is by far the worst airline we have ever flown with. This is the airline that flew us to Saudi Arabia and back and let's just say please avoid this airline at all costs. We travelled with a scooter and rather than Saudia loading it on the flight to RUH from JED and Visa Versa back to YYZ Saudia instead decided to be lazy and just despite tagging it to both RUH and then back to YYZ and instead they just left the scooter at JED. That Scooter cost 3000 dollars and Saudia just didn't care. Additionally Saudia also damaged 2 of our luggages. I would not recommend flying this airline if you have a scooter with you. Truly after this poor experience we had with this company, I think you'd be better off flying with a different airline to Saudia Arabia because this airline ain't it. Plus the Wifi only worked for 20 mins and then you have to pay to use more which cost 50 dollars, that's a total ripoff. The only thing that was good was the food in flight and the lounges at JED and RUH. But otherwise this was such a terrible experience and Saudia did nothing to compensate us for this. Avoid this airline at all costs if you're flying into Saudi Arabia and choose a different airline. They don't deserve anymore of your money. Stay away at all costs. Saudia only wants your money for nothing.
Terrible airlines
Terrible airlines, food awful and they do not budge on you paying for an expensive seating upgrades. Qatar and Turkish Airlines are much better. Shame as they make so much money from pilgrims especially for Hajj season by ripping of pilgrims.
Extrem unzufrieden – Flug verschoben, Kundenservice unbrauchbar
Mein Flug wurde ohne Vorwarnung um drei Tage verschoben. Trotz mehrfacher Kontaktaufnahme über GoToGate und direkten Versuchen bei Saudia Airlines wurde keine Ersatzbeförderung angeboten, und die entstandenen Mehrkosten von ca. 1.000 EUR wurden nicht erstattet.
Der Kundenservice reagierte weder sachlich noch lösungsorientiert – es wirkte so, als würde man Beschwerden absichtlich ignorieren, und E-Mail-Kontakte blieben ohne Antwort. Telefonische Anfragen führten zu keiner Klärung.
Ich kann Saudia Airlines / GoToGate aus Verbrauchersicht nicht empfehlen, da die gesetzlichen Fluggastrechte nach EU-Verordnung 261/2004 nicht respektiert werden.
Website is awful
Website is awful. The 2FA used to login doesn't work. So I am unable to book seats or check into the flight. Having contacted support I only recieve a "we've closed your ticket" response - with no other detail, and the issue persists.
Disaster experience - Baggage lost and zero ownership by Airlines
I took a flight via KLM from YVR to JED. The last flight was from Riyadh to Jeddah operated by Saudi Airlines. My baggage never arrived and I was given a case no. to follow up. It was never recovered. The staff at the airport asked me to approach Saudia Guest Relations as they were just in charge of luggage handling. Saudi Guest relations asked me to wait till 21 days. KLM took no liability and asked me to follow up with Saudia. Finally, last day before I left back for Vancouver, I was provided by a reference number for baggage compensation by the guest relations office (which is far from airport and literally difficult to reach). I received a compensation voucher of SAR 2500 which is not even 1/3 of international baggage refund standard while I spent almost 800 SAR running aroud in circles to follow up on my baggage and compensation. Most of the staff are not even aware of their policies or protocol and choose to misguide people instead of accepting their ignorance.
I wish there is some international protocol to penalize such airlines. Please keep away from this airlines at all costs.

Avoid this airline, terrible customer service , unnecessary flight delays, baggage delays and never being able to get in touch with their customer service.
