Diese Airline hat in jeder Hinsicht versagt. So eine schlechte und respektlose Erfahrung habe ich noch nie gemacht.
Unser Gepäck wurde beschädigt ausgeliefert. Der Umgang damit war vollkommen gleichgültig und unprofessionell. Keine Verantwortung, keine Lösung, kein Interesse. Man wird schlicht allein gelassen.
Der Service an Bord war ein Desaster. Uns wurde Essen serviert, das wir ausdrücklich nicht bestellt hatten. Als wir das angesprochen haben, hieß es lediglich, man könne nichts machen. Für eine Airline ist das absolut inakzeptabel und zeigt ein komplettes Fehlen von Serviceverständnis.
Das Verhalten der Stewardessen war besonders schockierend. Unprofessionell, unaufmerksam und respektlos. Gespräche mit Passagieren fanden statt, während sie selbst mit vollem Mund aßen. So ein Auftreten ist für den Kundenkontakt schlicht untragbar.
Insgesamt herrschte Chaos, Desinteresse und fehlende Kompetenz. Kein Service, keine Problemlösung, kein professionelles Auftreten. Diese Airline ist aus meiner Sicht nicht empfehlenswert und wird von mir definitiv nie wieder gebucht.

Premetto che abbiamo sempre prenotato dal sito ufficiale.
La recensione avviene dopo 12 voli effettuati con Saudia.
La prima volta che abbiamo viaggiato con saudia io mia moglie e le mie figlie eravamo molto preoccupati poichè le recensioni erano pessime. Tuttavia decidiamo Comunque di prenotare con loro. Ebbene dopo un anno possiamo dire che Saudia merita la nostra completa fiducia poichè non solo è la compagnia aerea di bandiera dell'arabia saudita ma i confort sono di grand lunga maggiori di compagnie come airfrance e altri molto piu famosi. Siamo quasi a livello di Emirates. Vi elenchero cio' che funziona bene e qualche pecca.
Note positive:
1. Primo in assouto il confort, spazi molto larghi in economic, 81 cm tra un sedile e l'altro (come emirates). le altre compagnie non superato i 76cm.
2. Cibo. abbondante e gradevole e di qualità. passano circa 3 volte in un volo di 6 ore con pasto principale merendina e addirittura frutta come banane mele e snack (non servono alcolici).
3. Ad ogni passeggero viene fornito spazzolino, dentifricio, cuscino, pleid, cuffie, tappi per orecchie. bottiglietta di acqua.
4. per i bambini fino a 11 anni in ogni volo viene fornito uni zainetto con molti giochi per afffrontare il viaggio (neanche su emirates sono cosi attenti ai piccoli)
5. aerei puntuali il piu delle volte arrivano in anticipo a destinazione, puliti e personale molto cordiale.
note negative:
1. Call center parlano in italiano ma capiscono poco e seguono molto le procedure senza capire molto quello che gli stai chiedendo. (meglio chiamare il loro callcenter in UK che sono molto piu preparati)
2. Scali lunghi ma in aeroporto a jeddah hanno aerotel a pagamento molto comodo
3. nell'ultimo volo abbiamo avuto un ritardo per aeromobile guasto e per questo abbiamo avuto un ritardo di 3h30 ma siamo arrivati sani e salvi.
Conclusione, viaggeremo ancora con loro per comodità confort e servizi con prezzi molto abbordabili.

Saudi. Discreta compagnia. Buono aeroporto a jeddah (ma l'imbarco non è stato chiaro) . Moltissime opzioni di cibo da scegliere per mangiare su aereo (io ad esempio ho scelto frutta che molte compagnie non offrono). Puntuali all'andata ma al ritorno no. Servizio gentile. Molti film in italiano. Connessione a internet gratuita per messaggi. Prezzo biglietto il più basso degli altri. Connessione lunga a jeddah ma abbiamo preso l'hotel aerotel in aeroporto zona transiti. Al ritorno dalle Mauritius ritardo di più di 8 ore e abbiamo perso l'hotel che abbiamo prenotato dentro l'aeroporto per 150€ e non c'è l'hanno rimborsato
Pessima
Purtroppo non posso mettere meno di una stella. Hanno perso il bagaglio mio e di mia figlia in viaggio per dubai e l'abbiamo ricevuto dopo trentasei ore. Ci avevano assicurato che l'avrebbero portato in albergo ed invece esasperate dal ritardo siamo andate in aeroporto dove siamo state sballottate da un operatore all'altro per ore. Inoltre, abbiamo dovuto sostenere le spese del taxi per e da l'aeroporto(con ovvia ulteriore spesa per il taxi). Ho chiesto il rimborso ed a parte la difficoltà rinvenute nel sito per contattarli, non mi hanno rimborsato nulla nonostante le spese che ho dovuto affrontare per i generi di prima necessità non avendo nemmeno uno spazzolino da denti dietro.
Inoltre sul sito non è possibile prenotare un menu particolare.
Mancanza di assistenza post vendita
Ho fatto di recente volo da Roma Fiumicino a isola Mauritius con scalo in Arabia Jeddah e sono rientrato a Roma da Mauritius con 2 scali in Arabia, il primo a Jeddah e il secondo a Riyad. Per voli erano in orario, aerei moderni Boeing e Airbus, anche servizi su aereo buoni. Unica nota per un bagaglio da stiva rotto, nonostante ho aperto reclamo in aereoporto di Mauritius, e mandato varie e-mail, non ho mai ricevuto rimborso o altro bagaglio sostitutivo, ho dovuto comprare un nuovo bagaglio a mie spese, ho chiamato anche assistenza telefonica a Roma e operatore mi ha dato email del reparto proposto e nonostante ho inviato varie email mi rispondono che è fuori giurisdizione e che non dipende da loro, e non trovo giusto che per prezzi biglietti pagati tariffe abbastanza costose non ci sia un reparto che si assumi responsabilità del rimborso dovuto per legge, non hanno una pec, hanno sede estera, e non rimborsano quanto dovuto, per fortuna che non ho avuto problemi per voli, altrimenti addio a quanto pagato profumatamente. Questa mancanza di assistenza non dà molte garanzie per professionalità compagnia aerea, e sono rimasto deluso per mancanza di assistenza post vendita, e pertanto consiglio compagnie di aereo europee che rispettano leggi se ci sono richieste legali.

This routing was deliberately chosen from multiple available options, specifically because it arrived at London Gatwick (LGW), where we had pre-arranged parking and onward plans.

Issues Caused by This Change
Change of return airport from LGW to LHR, which was never requested or accepted by us.
Increased layover and travel time, including an overnight connection.
Financial loss, as we can no longer use the prepaid parking arranged at Gatwick.
Major disruption to travel logistics, including ground transport and personal commitments.
No compensation, upgrade, or suitable alternative offered, despite this being an airline-initiated change.
Unhelpful response from customer care, who failed to provide any meaningful solution.
The longer layover was never part of the original agreement when the ticket was purchased. Spending extended hours at the airport overnight without any upgrade, rest facility, or accommodation is unacceptable, particularly when the change was made solely by the airline and not requested by the passenger just 6 weeks before travel..
Given the additional layover time, airport inconvenience, and financial impact, I also expect appropriate consideration or compensation for the disruption caused.
Good experience and then just horrible later on
Some years ago i had great experience, but recently they cancelled a flight i booked for relative from Lahore to Jeddah just 1 day before departure. On top of that, only 33% amount was refunded.
Only book directly with them (no agencies should be involved).
Website glitch cost me £50
I purchased 4 tickets via their website and followed their on screen instructions to the teeth which mean that when I filled in the first name in the first name field exactly matching the passports, it said to reduce the number of characters as the system won’t allow a lengthy name. It also provided an example to put the first initial of the first name which worked. I paid for the tickets but when I called Saudia to confirm the tickets they said the name doesn’t match the passports and they will have to re-issue the tickets costing me more for what was supposed to be a cheap flight from MED to JED.
I argued over and over calling multiple of their call centres all saying to raise a complaint. Fair enough and so I did only to find that today (12/01/2026) they just closed the complaint with ABSOLUTELY no comment on it.
So, given that I spent an extra £50 for 4 tickets to be re-issued and no fault of my own is appalling and Saudia owes me this amount.
Just for clarification I raised this complaint in November 2025.

This has been the worst airline experience of my life with Saudia.
• Lost baggage with no accountability
• Repeated flight delays with zero communication
• No contingency plans whatsoever
• Staff behaviour was shockingly unprofessional, uncivilised, and uneducated
There was no empathy, no ownership, and no basic customer service. Ground staff appeared clueless and indifferent, offering excuses instead of solutions. Passengers were left confused, stressed, and unsupported.
For an airline representing a country that hosts millions of international travellers, this level of service is embarrassing and unacceptable.
I would strongly advise avoiding Saudi Airlines unless you are prepared for lost luggage, delays, chaos, and disrespectful treatment.
Never again.
Airline failed to honor my confirmed and issued ticket
I booked a flight and selected my seat during booking. After payment, my ticket was confirmed and issued. I received a confirmation email 3 months in advance and a reminder 1 week before departure.
Despite this, when I went to check in, I was told that my seat had been given to someone else and that my reservation could not be found. I had to show my receipt and confirmation email to prove that I had a valid, paid, and issued ticket.
What happened next was honestly shocking. The case was escalated to a supervisor, who told me, “if you had come earlier, this wouldn’t have happened,” and asked me to decide whether I wanted to fly or not, even though I was already there well in advance and the delay was caused internally. The supervisor also said it was not their responsibility because they did not personally make the change.
Later, I learned that the seat had been changed by the airline internally.
Being blamed for something I did not cause felt extremely unfair. Once a ticket is issued, the airline is responsible for honoring it.
A trip I had carefully planned in advance quickly turned into a nightmare.
SkyTeam Elite Plus and Saudia Gold status also made no difference. I would not recommend investing time in loyalty with an airline that can break trust this easily for its own convenience.
For a long-haul flight, this was a very stressful and disappointing experience.
BKK to CDG
We flew with Saudia from BKK to CDG, and the overall experience was excellent. Everything went smoothly with no delays, modern aircraft, and very good service throughout the journey.
Some of our family traveled in Business Class, where the service and comfort were outstanding, while others flew in Economy Class. The only small downside was that the food in Economy could have been better, but otherwise the experience was very good.
There is no alcohol served on board, which was not an issue for us 😊
Overall, Saudia is definitely recommended, and we would gladly fly with them again.
Retraso de 1,5horas en la entrega de maletas
Volamos de Nairobi a Barcelona con escala en Jedda. El vuelo de Jedda a Barcelona salio con unos 40 minutos de retraso pero eso no fue lo peor. Lo peor fue que la entrega del equipaje en el aeropuerto de Barcelona tardo 1,5 horas. Nunca me habia pasado un retraso tan grande. Esto nos hizo perder el vuelo que teniamos después hacia mallorca.

Selbst 1 Stern ist eigentlich noch zu viel!
Probleme gab es von Anfang an, schon vor der Buchung.
Zunächst erhalte ich beim Versuch mich in meinen bestehenden Alfursan Account einzuloggen trotz Eingabe der korrekten Zugangsdaten immer eine Fehlermeldung. Also versuchte ich eine Passwortänderung. Wenn ich jedoch den Sicherheitscode, welchen ich per E-Mail erhalte, versuche einzugeben, heißt es dieser wäre nicht korrekt. Telefonisch konnte oder wollte man mir nicht weiterhelfen und verwies mich auf den ach so tollen AI Chat auf der Website, welcher so weit funktionierte, bis mit eine SMS mit einem Sicherheitscode zugesandt werden sollte. Diese kam jedoch nie an, sodass dieser Weg ebenfalls scheiterte.
Die Buchung habe ich dann als "Gast", außerhalb meines Accounts, getätigt. (Das einzig positive hierbei zu erwähnende ist der Preis!).
Die Zahlung erfolgte per Kreditkarte und die Buchung war bestätigt. Soweit so gut. 3 Tage später musste ich jedoch feststellen, dass Saudia mir den Flugpreis unrechtmäßig ein zweites Mal von meiner Kreditkarte abgebucht hat.
Also rief ich wieder den Kundenservice an, sprach auf der englischen Leitung jedoch mit einem Mitarbeiter, welcher der englischen Sprache nur bedingt mächtig war und mich über das gesamte Telefonat "Bro" nannte. Es wurde ein Sicherheitscode verlangt welcher mir nicht vorlag und es dauerte 15min den Mitarbeiter zu überreden, mir doch bitte einen neuen Code zu senden. Als dies endlich passiert war und ich dem Mitarbeiter den Code genannt habe, fragte er mich erneut wie er mir denn helfen könne, als ob die letzten 20-25min nie stattgefunden hätten. Als ich mein Anliegen erneut schilderte wurde ich wieder nur auf ein Kontaktformular auf der Website verwiesen, da er mir nicht helfen könne. Dieses Formular habe ich ausgefüllt und war überrascht sehr schnell eine Antwort erhalten zu haben. Diese hat mich jedoch im negativen Sinne erneut überrascht. Anstatt mein Anliegen zu prüfen und den zu viel abgebuchten Betrag zu erstatten, solle ich mich doch an meine Bank wenden und eine Reklamation eröffnen um mein Geld zurückzufordern.
Dieses Geschäftsgebaren ist höchst unseriös und grenzt an Betrug! Wer also zu viel Geld übrig hat oder Lust hat sich über die Bank mit Saudia über die Rückerstattung einer unrechtmäßigen Abbuchung zu streiten, ist bei Saudia richtig aufgehoben.
Zum aktuellen Zeitpunkt rate ich: FINGER WEG VON SAUDIA!
Ich werde meine Bewertung gegebenenfalls nochmals etwas korrigen, falls Saudia doch noch zur Besinnung kommt und eine gütliche Regelung im Sinne des Kunden findet.
Stopover visa is scam
I’m leaving this review with a very heavy heart because Saudi Airlines our very own religious mother land countries airline but I am very disappointed as I have experienced issues with their stopover visa application for which they attracted people if you buy tickets from Saudi airlines you will get a stopover visa free but it’s a scam I tried multiple times but it’s always said technical issues, so was very unlucky and disappointed.

We booked a trip to Thailand via Riyadh using Saudia Air. The first flight was delayed.
The connecting flight for Riyadh was then cancelled. We waited 13 hours to find this out. Nobody at the airport or Saudia told us this flight was cancelled and we found out via third party.
The airport (King Khalid) was chaos. Nobody was directing people. The queues to rebook flights were insane.
At this point we’d had enough. Saudia tried to rebook us on a flight for 24th December . This was a 5 day wait for us. We refused this flight and booked a separate flight to go out with Air Asia ( who were brilliant btw).
Little did we know, because we refused the rebooked flight, they then cancelled our return home to London Heathrow without our knowledge. We came to check in the day before our flight to find out our seats had been cancelled, flights resold and no refund given.
We had to rebook totally new flights costing over £5000.
Saudia are hell. Do not use this company if you can help it.

Seriously saudi airlines ?
I flew Saudi Airlines on September 4th, 2025, from Oran to Medina, and… wow. Just wow.
• Economy class = tiny bus seats, tray tables the size of a snack wrapper, and no screens at all. Not even a hint of entertainment.
• 2 of 5 or so toilets working for almost 300 people — and the cabin crew actually said شو هيدا سوق؟؟؟و to passengers waiting. I wish I were joking.
• Food? Inedible. Cabin smell? Really really bad .
• Even business class had no screens, so don’t think paying more magically helps.
For an airline from a country like Saudi Arabia, this is completely unacceptable. I’ve flown to Turkeye with Turkish Airlines and Air Algérie — economy felt like luxury in comparison.
This flight felt like I paid for a one star bus in the sky, and I would never recommend it to anyone.
One star is too much for this company
One star is too much for this company. Shame shame on you!! how can you send passengers to their country without their luggage. how can you make such as decision and create a big issues and mess in the airport of Casablanca. Also, a lot of tourists stay without closes because they lost their luggages. Its last time I choose Saudi company and I will make reclamation, not only expensive but very very bad service without apologising or rewards.
My flight was cancelled
My flight was cancelled. No e mail or text message received. Found out by chance on way to airport by checking the app. I had been rebooked on a flight in 23 days time. I was travelling with elderly parents and young children. Called the helplines and long waiting times. Managed to speak to someone in the European call centre who told me nothing could be done - need to wait 23 days. They couldn’t discuss any compensation with me or support they could provide. I needed to get back for parents medical reasons and my children had work. Saudia advised me in recorded call that I should call travel agents and find another flight myself. I did that. Paid an extortionate amount for an Eithad flight from another city. Eithad got me and my family back on time. Am grateful for that. I’ve tried to engage with Saudia to discuss any compensation and they told me to email a back office e mail address. Radio silence since then. I found them completely unhelpful through this distressing time and no empathy. Pre and post booking they are very difficult/ non responsive to interact with. I think they’re trying to do everything electronically but it’s not working. Their app often didn’t work when all other apps were working on my phone. Never again will I travel Saudia - just have zero sense of service and empathy

The worst company ever to fly with. They change flight times without customer’s consent. They kept changing flight times during my connection and did not provide the basic which is water , food and accommodation. No respect for human beings let alone customers. The desk staff does not have any idea about basic customer care . my flight times were changed 3 times while i was waiting in Riadh.
